Em Santarém o aplicativo usado para chamar carro é o URBANO NORTE final de 2020 estava 100 reais a corrida pra alter do chão ! A diária de um hotel com café da manhã estava 120 reais, esse ano parece que aumentou o preço de tudo.

Amazon the mighty river is God's gift to sa.being in equator, it gets rain throughout the year. It is a good transport system for some countries. Don't destroy its huge forest as Brazil has vast land 4 agriculture.

Recomendo conhecer a cidade de Salinópolis, cerca de 2h30min de distância de Belém/PA, caso tenham interesse. Essa época do ano é conhecida como o nosso inverno amazônico, onde chove todos os dias e costuma ficar nublado. A melhor época para vir seria meados de Julho a Outubro, onde chove com menos frequência e o céu fica mais limpo, com belíssimos fins de tarde. A região amazônica tem um grande potencial gastronômico, então sugiro que abram seus corações e os botões das calças para experimentarem o máximo de coisas que puderem 😂. I really enjoyed your video. We also have big rivers in Bangladesh. But we don't hammock like the Brazilians. People just sleep on the floors on the makeshift mattresses. And we have cabins like this ship. And yeah, Carol is so beautiful. Love her accent too.

Getting first class cabin is worth every penny because youre isolated and having your own bathroom is big deal during travel ! Os espertos querendo tirar proveito dele por ser turista, já queriam meter mil reais na passagem, por isso que é bom se informar sair perguntando se não você é enrolado fácil, isso em todo lugar até em outros países.

Sou eu quem fecho as coisas (acomodações, passeios etc). Não fomos roubados. O valor do táxi pode variar de 100 a 150 reais (confirmei isso com minha amiga de Belém). E 100 reais você só consegue se for com alguém conhecido. E as acomodações com boa localização eram caras mesmo. Já que não alugamos carro, queríamos uma pousada bem perto da praça central. Se você procurar preços de hotéis e pousadas no airbnb e booking naquela localização vai ver que é tudo nessa faixa de preço ou até mais. Eu passei vários dias pesquisando e mandando WhatsApp pra vários lugares diferentes e aquele lugar foi a melhor opção mesmo. Na verdade eu até consegui negociar com a dona da pousada e o valor final que pagamos tinha 100 reais de desconto.

I didn’t go to Santarém during my time there (I don’t know why), but I love to go there the next time I’ll go to Brasil and Belém for a visit. Alter do Chão looks so beautiful. January 1990 I took a tour on that river. The main dock is floating and attached to land by a bridge. There is a 10 meters difference in water level from dry to wet season.

Just found your channel and subscribed. In 1989 I was driving my 1969 VW campervan from the top of Alaska to the bottom of South America. Along the way I drove Manuas and took the ferry to Belém to continue my journey. It was wonderful to see this episode, it brought back great memories. I bought a hammock and the ferry was only supposed to take 300 passengers but they piled on 1000 passengers. So you can imagine how overcrowded the boat was. Your cabin was luxury in comparison. Nice memories, I used to travel from Panama to Manaus every 3 weeks when i was Capt of a container vessel. Very Long river but only about 8.5 meters deep just South of Manaus.
The River rises 18 feet in Manus during the wet season.

The problem in some big cities in Amazon is that the boats many times doesn’t stop in the main area in the port, but in a very secondary one, so the lack of structure. But it worth the ride anyway! Enjoy!
There's only two big cities in Amazon. Manaus and Belém. The other capitals are not so big.

All of that is exactly what we had when we cross the sea of Cortez from copper canyon in Mexico. It was 50 cents, $10, or $50 and all you get was a $10 room and it was like yours. In the middle of the night our desk flooded. One cafeteria where we didn't eat because it smelled sour

In Santarém, cab drivers use to explore tourists with VERY EXPENSIVE prices, especially if they're foreigners. It is disgusting, but true!

man you have to visit Gramado RS is a city that looks a lot like european cities, i think you'll like it. Balneário Camboriú tmb is very developed, and it is very beautiful there, I recommend it.
What a fabulous video. I had the joy of two weeks cruising the Napo Amazon tributary out of Ecuador on a river boat, meeting rain forest tribes and exploring the fauna and flora. The Amazon rain storms were something amazing to be out in. The motorise canoes were our daily transport. I saw the places you had been - many I have visited., so I subscribed immediately.

True Story: I traveled from Manaus to Santarem by ferry.....I did the 'hammock' option and it was great and just like at 5:12 every hammock place was occupied...slept at night in the open air.....
On the ferries the mornings are the best time...the sunrise and the birds are most active and vocal with the sunrise.... I saw in a tree at the shoreline some very large bright colored Amazon parrots 'warming up' with their backs to the sunrise.
The food was very good....rice, potatoes, beans, fish, beef, tea, coffee.... When I walked into the cafeteria the first time I was wearing a cap and a 'hefty' Brazilian woman behind the counter said something to me in Portuguese that I didn't understand. She then grabbed my cap off my head. I got hold of my cap and there was a serious tug-of-war over the cap. Some Brazilian dudes got involved, separated us and got my cap back. They told me that in wasn't permitted to wear a hat in the cafeteria...
In Santarem I went on a river tour run by indigenous Brazilians that was insanely dangerous....the water was so rough...the waves were slamming up against the boat...the engine stalled....we were bailing water out of the boat....the other Brazilian tourists were even frightened.....just to see some giant water lilies that were half rotted....
Never heard about this "hat" problem you had. I can't see why it was not allowed.
