  • Woodturning - Natural Edge Small Bowl in Australian Jarrah
    Jarrah is a very hard wood that is used for a number of purposes but is often burned as firewood as well!
    I rescued this piece from my firewood pile and turned it into this natural edge bowl.
    What do you think?

    Mate that's really awesome. I've got some figured Jarrah here, its grain is amazing. Its hard to come by on the east coast.

      Cheers David. I have to admit I wasn't sure how it would work out but I'm happy with it. That was originally on the wood pile and as I now put more wood on the fire tonight I keep thinking "I could make a bowl out of that!". 🤣

      @@makermark1 Nice. I was rummaging through bags of firewood in front of my butcher last week to se if there was anything decent. He doesn't mind because I give have all my shavings for his smoker.
