My only complaint with ToTK was that Ganondorf was a completely new incarnation. I would have liked to keep it in my headcannon that Ganondorf unleashed Calamity Ganon as he's had his ass kicked so many times by various Zelda's and Links that he was literally "too angry to die". Also, rather than explaining the time travel, he would have known who Zelda and Link were already due to his dealings with their predecessors.
Hm? The divine beasts weren't more linear than traditional dungeons, they were less linear to their detriment. They're a disconnected collection of small puzzles to turn on terminals that you can do in any order. Nothing can build the way it would with more linearity.
My biggest gripe is that somehow after over 10,000 years of being a dragon two ghosts are able to turn zelda back to human. Like... What happened to things having concequences? And how in the world did the power of 2 ghosts, who probably shouldn't even be that powerful, through a replacement arm reverse time potentially hundreds of thousands of years back to a point where zelda was human? It makes no sense, makes zelda's sacrifice nonexistent, makes you wonder why the secret stones were needed in the first place if that kind of power can be used without them BY GHOSTS and was somewhat anticlimactic.
Honestly i might not agree with your point of view but you do make valid points and arguments unlike another channel who had a problem with tears of the kingdom.
As soon as I landed in Hyrule I got bored as fuck, the fact that they reused the map was the laziest possible thing, I already explored it to death in BOTW, literally no reason to go back
Before the title reveal of tears of the kingdom I played through breath of the wild without fast travel, rune use strictly in the shrines and beasts, climbing or paraglider. It vastly changed the game and made it far more of a traditional Zelda experience. I feel like I will take a similar approach to totk in a few years. It has great elements but when ultra hand is just so broken idk. I have my issues with the game as well.
I'm kindof in the spot of, the only thing I liked was the gloom rising from the ground effect in hyrule castle. That was the only thing that stood out as special to me. Also, Zelda in botw actually had some character progression, same in aoc, but in totk, there is zero character progression or growth at all, what so ever.
@@prestonocron much harder to get the Master Sword and the Memories don't make sense until you get all of the MAIN ones and Final Ganon=Hardest Ever, do not Blame you.
TotK would be great as a standalone game, but as a sequel it's absolute dog shit. It's essentially the same experience all over again but with even more filler.
@@Surelockohmsthey gave us more shrines, more korok seeds overall, each of the cutscenes at the end of the dungeons is the exact same. More filler essentially. The gameplay itself is obviously not filler, you can do more with ultrahand, ascend, and fuse, but you can still just use it on more filler.
As someone who played almost every game of the series and owns almost every game I can't say how much I disliked this game... bought it at launch and sold it two month later after completing it without any sidequests... That this game got so high reviews is so unclear to me and shows me that people just parrot what their favorite paid youtubers tell them and the official reviewers are ***** who have to give good reviews so that they get their free review copies and that the metacritic user reviews are full of fake "I did the long registering process to write "Best game eva!!" 10 point reviews... TotK is an outdated embarassing lazy cashgrab which took 6 years to make and is so half **** for what a so famous franchise could have been... Nintendo could have thrown so much money at it and made it a good game but they didnt... It's the new pokemon now... Zelda is mediocre now... Praey to the gods which was made in five years by three people to me is better in almost every aspect and I had a blast compared to this garbage...

That's Ms. Sword thank you very much 😉
I hate the weapons it sucks. Every time I get a badaas looking weapon it breaks in a few hits

Agree with all of this. Especially the dungeons and fast traveling comment. Well said.
Thanks!

Did you actual play now than ten minutes?
