I know Water is commonly made to be weak to Lightning for balancing but, cmon, if Chien-Pao can be weak to Metal why can't Seismitoad be weak to Grass instead?
@@SeismiTheToadright, was just mentioning that chien pao was given metal because it’s *only* an ice type, not a water type, so it would never make sense for either typing to have a lightning weakness. Seismitoad is at least partially water type. Although, I do understand the point that the partial ground type would nullify electric type moves in the games, so the lightning weakness in the tcg is a bit shaky. It’s just that chien pao isn’t a good card to compare because the reasons for changing the weakness are different
Is there anywhere to play GLC online? I don’t have the cards to put together a deck in person and almost exclusively play online so I would love a spot to play this format as it seems like it would be my favourite format
theres no dedicated space to play it online, but several people i have seen (myself included) build a GLC deck in TCGLive and go the "expanded" tab and play, It doesnt always work, but every now and then you find other folks doing GLC
I was listening to an interview of yours from a couple years back, and in this interview you posed the question “why are they printing so many of these cards that clearly do not compete in the standard meta?” I was wondering if there’s really an answer for this question. As an MtG player, there are so many formats that WotC acknowledges (draft, sealed, pauper, standard, pioneer, modern, legacy, vintage, commander) so that ultimately whatever card you pull in a pack, it probably has a home somewhere. I’m new to Pokemon, but it seeeeeems like GLC is the only other real format… does the Pokemon TCG acknowledge its existence? Or is it still strictly a fan made format? And if the latter is true… is there an answer for why the Pokemon TCG prints so many cards that don’t really seem to have a home other than for the sake of collecting? Anyway. Long comment. But I LOVE your content Tricky Gym. Honestly got me into the Pokemon TCG (both collecting and making the 8 GLC decks I now have hahaha).
Side note… my friends and I have been saying for YEARS that calling a Ban List the “Hall of Fame” instead would create a much more desirable positive spin and would remove some of the feel bads of your favorite cards being banned. Love love LOVE that GLC has adopted this strategy. You’re doing a great job in so many ways.
Chaotic Swell was in play, which forces the Artazon to be discarded. Chaotic Swell reads "Whenver either player plays a Stadium card from their hand, discard that Stadium after discarding this one."
GLC is the closest thing to Commander in PTCG. I think you should boost the deck size like EDH/Commander. Something like 80 would be sick. 100 would be too much I think.

There are several seismitoad cards that are weak to grass. This one just happens to have a lightning weakness.
The old seismitoad EX was weak to grass

I've been trying to get this deck along for a while! I haven't been able to pull a seismitoad though LMFAO. Good video!
Funny enough I did the monotype thing with a recently built Palafin Palkia deck. It's all water types
