It doesn't work. Emotions aren't responding to behavior but what could happen in majority of cases. If you perceive men as dangerous you will be afraid even if behavior is perfectly normal. The fact that you feel negative emotions doesn't mean that someone did anything wrong.

Exactly. As a black woman who had both parents and they still married. Black people need to accept its both bm and bw are the problem with the black relationship. It's always one side and pointing the finger. Both bm and bw are the problem
The part about the son-husband thing really hit close to home for me. My dad left when i was 11 and then all through my teenage years, my mom would constantly assert that i was the man of the house and that i should be catering to her by fixing/washing her car "just because", cook dinner, clean the apartment (including her filthy room), she once tried to get me to rub her feet, and would even include me in big financial decisions (like what state we should move to, what kind of house/car she should buy) but whenever things didnt work in her favor, suddenly i was just a child and i should know my place. Now at 29, im married with 3 kids and we dont talk because i keep "prioritizing that girl" (my wife) over her. Up until now i thought that shit only happened to me😢
Nope I’m 29 as well my brother. I’m from Jamaica but live in America and this happens in the Carribbean and America. Im soon getting to the point where you’re at. Just haven’t reached my breaking point yet
@@dee_305 well damn 😂 I used to think the same. I would to go to the Jamaican subreddit page just to read what other Jamaican kids my age went through and it was the exact same. But then I realized that a lot African American also have the same experience. I just think it’s a black thing. The black community has women that just choose the horrible men to be fathers. These fathers are often times just don’t really want the job so they eventually leave (just like both of our fathers) or the mother makes sure the child never sees the kid’s father. This creates all these dumbass issues we have to deal with. I would recommend you go to therapy if you haven’t already. I don’t know your parents but my parents never went to therapy even though they really need to badly. I’m going in 2 weeks. Hope you get yourself checked out

Facts. I don't know how many times I've heard that certain women do crazy things because their father was not an essential part of their childhood. Could explain a large amount of the confusion that goes on in today's world.

30 years?? Divorce and or child support is definitely expensive if you've been locked in for that long. It must be cheaper to keep her. I would've divorced in three years if it got that hectic.
If you make your wife your safe space for you to vent, don’t be surprised when she’s done with you and you’re going through a divorce, all those things that you told her under the influence of emotion in “secret”, they get used against you. You better not.I will not vent to someone like that. That is a bad recipe for disaster.
Thank you good sister for your interview that was full of intellect and knowing who you are. It's really good to hear a black woman speak on what some black women need to hear and understand about the black man.
There is a disparity, but that’s rarely addressed honestly. There’s a whole lot of chaos in the “community” that’s rarely addressed honestly. A healthy marriage is beautiful, but the Bible says it’s better to stay single, so there is nothing wrong with anyone choosing to stay single.
I have been saying it for years about black women being accountable for our actions!!! Why do black women feel they can say and do whatever they want and when consequences come they want a pass. It does not work like that!!! We have to look at the woman in the mirror!!!

I have 3 Sons. I’m blessed beyond measure. I trained them up in the way they should go with the Word of God. Also setting an example. Women must unlearn and relearn everything they was taught by the women in their family. I would never give up on our Israelite men because I chose the wrong ones in my past. Our men is the highest level man on earth. They just need a good Helpmeet to pray over him encourage love uplift motivate and be his peace. But he has to be a righteous head. ❤❤❤❤
I’m married (mom) with two black sons. I’ve talked to my boys about respecting women, not to use women for their bodies etc. I have also told my sons to be respected by women, don’t let any woman use them for their bodies and what they can get from them. I’ve told my sons, when they get older, they will have to be careful of some of the women out here. I expect my sons to be honorable men one day, but I want them to know they are deserving of all the things that they are expected to give to women i.e love, respect, honesty, loyalty, compassion etc.
Great, you have taught them the opposite of the Patriarchal Order programming. which says male offspring are programmed to be stud horses and play play play aka papa was a rolling stone wherever he laid his hat was his home aka stud horses/sexual predators.
I love the perspective of this sister. I can relate to her upbringing and her current perspective. I was raised by a bunch single, baby mamas, but I never felt like BM were the ops because I could CLEARLY see the toxicity in the women I was raised up around. Accountability is a big proponent of women's failures. Ask yourself, has your woman ever apologized to you for her wrongdoings? Probably rarely to never.
She’s a breath of fresh air from all this toxic pollution. Real sister right here. May God continue to bestow wisdom upon you. Her husband is a very very blessed man to have such an intelligent wife. Peace and Love 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
This interview is truly incredible. This sister is speaking real. I hope other women get to see this. Women need to reason with themselves. Feminism and hating black men is a scam being played on you. It's the destruction of the black family.
Correct, that was never her bag...She originally was in a Matriarchal Society/World...when Men and Women were together as One... but the Matriarch was overthrowed by the Patriarchal Order and she was forced to submit to being a sex slave, maid servant and baby bearers aka the kitchen and the bedroom aka compete and fight over and for stud horses/sexual predators.
.. many great points were made here. One thing we sometimes overlook is Hollywood's purposeful manipulation of our perception of each other - Black men and Black women... Hollywood Writer's have always been cunning in how they shape our perception of self but these last 10+ years they've ramped up their Anti-Black-Family campaign... this is why you see tv shows, movies, and commercials written in ways that urge us to date white... or urge us to go homosexual... rarely are we written happy heterolsexual Black-with-Black.. The movie 'If Beale Street Could Talk' was close. But inline with Hollywood's Anti-Black-Family guidelines they had to make it end in despair to give the perception that Black Love is hopeless... Most of our people don't know that white Jewish Hollywood producers get together about once a year to Decide what THEY want the trends to be. Then they charge their writers with inserting messages into shows, movies, and commercials that promote their desired trend... Obviously we are privy to those meetings... But we can conclude, by watching what they're puttibg on tv, that their desire for us is a destruction of Black Love and Family... A similar Blend-and-Destroy campaign was used on Native Americans... that's why they're so light skinned today...They were persuade to think blending with their enemies was advancement... But whites had no problem sexing Native Americans all while continuing programs that were exterminating them.
These is heavy subjects forreal forreal .. and ones that MUST be addressed in our community .. the damaging things are the things we were taught NOT to talk about smh .. pain passed down
Correct, we were taught this Dysfunctional behavior/Mental Illness...our predecessors were forced to submit to this Deviant behavior in order to survive they were forced to pass it on to their offspring...at this point they don't even know that the programming was forced, now they voluntarily promote and reinforce this Mental Illness.
When my sister talked about compromise, she made an important point. And moving from the me mindset to the we mindset is the main challenge for both men and women. We also make the mistake of believing that a person's success in one arena gives them wisdom in all areas of life. That is a fallacy.
This has already been said but I really enjoyed this convo. I know it’s easy for me to say because I am a black man, but I think people should see that the overall message. That black men are not the enemy of black women. We are on the same team and we both have work to do in order to rise together.
It's refreshing to see a black woman who has a good head on her shoulders. As an African, I have always held that the problem with blacks in America is their values, not the color, income or the oppressions. Sustained success in any endeavor rests ultimately in your values. Everything else is ephemeral.
I give thanks to the long line of successful marriages (no divorce no single parent) of on both sides of my family and my father and mother for raising 6 children who learned to stay married and raise a strong family from their examples. Strong black marriage (2 parent) families still exist.
I don’t think all black men are bad. I don’t think the entirety of any group of ppl are bad…. But I have been in a very toxic & abusive relationship with a black man. He is every single one of those negative stereotypes. But unfortunately I do know that I chose him. I chose him at 17 years old when I was very immature and I’m still stuck with him at 35. I really wish I was taught what to look for in a man, but here we are and I have no one to blame but myself.
I hope one day.. You realize you deserve better. And yet you did choose that man you can also choose to leave him. You can CHOOSE your own happiness and self care. No matter your age you still deserve to have peace and love in your life and in your relationships. I’m praying for you sister. May God Bless protect you and give you the strength to choose you.

@@richa4976They see and they don't care, because they don't love themselves. How can you get a person who doesn't love themselves to love you? It's impossible. And as a man, you don't have to put up with their hatred. You are free, my brother. You owe these women nothing.
Just protect yourself anytime you see those sisters who trash black men. Save yourself first. Walk away. 😂😂😂
Great, that you are breaking the programming... female offspring are programmed to be sex slaves, maid servants and baby bearers via doll babies, strollers and easy bake ovens aka the kitchen and the bedroom aka compete and fight over and for stud horses/sexual predators and male offspring are programmed to be stud horses and play play play aka papa was a rolling stone wherever he laid his hat was his home=Hellish Zoo.
but you don't have a problem with black men taking out all their anger and frustration on black women
I am glad that this woman is being totally real about how black women can be both constructive and destructive. I hope that his message that she is telling in this interview be a lesson for all black men whether they live in the USA, the Caribbean, Europe and every part of this Earth
When she said “God is not in the things that are happening today, but I ain’t gonna go there,” I screamed GO THERE!
Sharing is caring. 🔥🔥🔥
Some people spend too much time waiting on God. God has laid the path before you, select and move wisely. That is what I would tell the folks waiting on God.
This lady is a national treasure ❤
Some women today don’t know because of the women before us. See how she mentioned she learned more from her aunt than her own mother. Some men and women were shit before us and we’re a product of that.
It's extremely unfortunate but the Patriarchal Order was forced upon our ancestors... it's extremely unfortunate in order to survive they promoted and reinforced Dysfunctional behavior/Mental Illness... the programming is extremely difficult to break/reject at this point, but some are rejecting the programming.
God bless this Sista !!!!!
I never thought I would hear a black woman tell the truth like she just did 💯💪🏾💯

They’re always fighting for one side and never both. When you’re on one side, no matter which side you’re on….you’re more of the problem and not the solution!
Exactly. As a black woman who had both parents and they still married. Black people need to accept its both bm and bw are the problem with the black relationship. It's always one side and pointing the finger. Both bm and bw are the problem
I’ve noticed that too, I guess they have an agenda to push.🤷🏽♀️
Up until now i thought that shit only happened to me😢
I'm glad you escaped that mental prison.
Nope I’m 29 as well my brother. I’m from Jamaica but live in America and this happens in the Carribbean and America. Im soon getting to the point where you’re at. Just haven’t reached my breaking point yet
@@nocando17 it might be an island thing because both of my parents are Jamaican also
@@dee_305 well damn 😂 I used to think the same.

If you make your wife your safe space for you to vent, don’t be surprised when she’s done with you and you’re going through a divorce, all those things that you told her under the influence of emotion in “secret”, they get used against you. You better not.I will not vent to someone like that. That is a bad recipe for disaster.

Nothing wrong with being single at all. But There is a passage in the Bible that states "He that findeth a Wife findeth a good thing!".

.. many great points were made here.
This is so refreshing to hear
