And now everyone wants to buy D4 😊 I own the 803 D2 and I really like them, but after I bought the Htm1d3 I hear how much better the D3 is compared to the D2. Help me Lord and lottery! This will become a very expensive upgrade.
I have 1970's B&W bookshelf speakers which are used as my center channel speakers. :) Better then any new center channel speakers you can buy today. :) 150w each. :)
Wow these look fantastic. Sadly they cost like 15000 euros per pair, the 803D is more likely for me to buy it, at "just" 4000 euros per pair. Wondering how the 800D would work in my Home Theater system to play videogames, watch Movies and TV Shows and of course, listen to hi-res Music.
I remember I use to lust after these for long time till I got to finally hear a pair. They were hooked up to 100,000 dollar worth of gear and cables and specially treated room. I can't tell you how disappointed I was listening to them. They were overly strident and had really evident resonance peak somewhere in upper treble area that gritted at my ears. The bass was bit overly warm and boomy as well. I heard better definition from commercial sub's for theater use and to this day would stick with a nice pair of altecs or jbl instead...
Then obviously the room/system wasn't very well balanced. Just as a system can be greater than the sum of its parts, it can be less. A room can seem acoustically treated but still have severe issues. These are used in several of the worlds best mastering rooms, and for a good reason.
The range costs between £5000 and £18000. Get some top of the range studio monitors if you want to know your speakers are accurate. I just saved you thousands and thousands of pounds.
Too bad that B&W has lost their path, from making great speakers to making money. Today only wealthy people can afford their speakers, unless we're talking about a small monitor with a 4" and a tweeter.
Even though their speakers can generally be afforded by wealthy people only, the quality of them is uncompromised and amazing. Maybe they're just a bit overpriced.
I personally obtained 3 B&W M1 satellites (Right/Center/Left) and a B&W AWS608 sub for the low low price of 10 bucks at a place that sells used goods haha.. They were in nearly mint condition.

i am not really the one to ask for that, but i do know that if you got the B&W 800 Series you will not be dissapointed
Cause i either want to have the 800 diamond series from b&w or Studio series from paradigm or the synthesis series from jbl for my movie theater
Yes, i don't own any but i have heard that they are extremely detailed therefore amazing for movies
are they good for dubstep? E.g Skrillex???

Yet all the sound engineers all have JBJ / Yamaha Bookshelf monitors inside the studios LMFAO ?
How is that being polished by hand when they're using a hand tool? lol
because you need your hand to use the tool. it's not a mechanical arm doing it for him.
Raymond Chow exactly because it’s a hand tool, idiot.

And only $25,000. They forgot to mention that.
