Have a set of 803d with classe surround processor and ct2300, amazing sound and clarity at all volume levels, the diamond tweeter never get tinny or break, coupled with the Bowers and Wilkins Db1, the system can be as delicate or shake the house foundation.
@johnosstreeter Denon PMA 720 Amp, DCD 1420 CD (yeah..all of it quite old, I know), Van Den Hul Clearwater (bi-wiring), DIY interlink (A90PPP with the biggest connectors from WBT), and Vifa Basis with thick silver wiring and upgraded filter, Scan Speak tweeter. Needless to say all of me st set (cd, amp, tape deck, etc) has also been upgraded and improved heavily. Also DIY. Can't tell you how I did it. Secret. Effect: very clean, pure sound with millimeter accurate placement of voices and instr.
I know they have beryllium down tweeters please do share what company that does not use diamond has a material that has a break up of 72,000 KHZ I’m curious self knowledge I know beryllium the break up is 50,000 KHZ
Your room, and amplifier also has much to do with sound. You might not have room for so large speakers. Have you tested them in same environment as your own speakers?
Does anyone know how to replace B&W Bass Unit Kevlar for " B&W Signature 30 Speaker ! How to remove the Silver Cone Ring that block the Bass Unit Kevlar! Any Video have ??? Any1 can Help !! Thks...
Although the Nautilus and 800 series (801, 802, .3.4 etc..) are quite expensive, if not to say very expensive and although the sound that comes from these speakers is very impressive, they are quite bad in producing a millimeter accurate image. When playing a high quality recording of acoustic instruments these speakers are not able to place them, it sounds as if there is a sphere of sound around each speaker instead of listening to a live band playing. My stereo can do better. How come, B&W?
@@drewrobertson6286 Good enough the have a very good 3D picture coming from it. I expected a lot from these very expensive speakers. Overall sound is impressive, but an accurate location of each instrument is next to impossible. I was listening to an $80,000 Dollar stereo set, with an Accuphase CD player and amp. Accuphase and B&W are working closely and match their equipment to get the optimal sound. So.....why can't I hear a millimeter accurate rendering....???? That stereo set had no placing of the instruments. It almost sounded mono. Absolute great sound.....but mono.... Weird.......
Now that it can be machine created it isn't as expensive as it was when Dabeers tried making them sound "really rare" and "forever." Put a diamond in a press and it'll break like glass. It has a really hard harness to it but there are harder things. It just shines but otherwise diamonds wouldn't have any real value (in terms of strictly for jewelry)
www.bulletproof-vest.biz/bulletproof+vest+dragon+bullet+proof+vest.html What about the dragon bullet proof vest which has better performance than kevlar at bullet proofing. I'm just trolling but u gotta admit their marketing material is trying too hard to demostrate value.
lol please.. that's an insult to b&w.. this company is more bothered about sound quality than money.. they design and build the highest quality speakers they can first then put a price tag on it.. not try and make something as cheap as possible but make it look ok-ishh and try and sell it for 5 times the price it cost to make like apple lol

Phenomenal loudspeakers.
i'm a bit shocked and appalled a company like B&W, known for their quality, only has a video like this in 360p!!!! #GiveUs1080
Same here....could not believe it. Reloaded page...still max 360 :S
I can only imagine. But for now I LOVE my A7. Amazing speakers. Anywhere and at any volume. Worth every penny and then some.

I'll take 2 please :)
While it's clearly a good diamond tweeter it's possible to make equal quality tweeters for far less money. Other companies are doing it too.

I have the 805 D3 for me it totally images well with an open sound stage and I can place the instruments on that stage perfectly.
They don't need to use diamond. It's too expensive.
