Stop fooling people. Guys plan b is as important as plan a . remember upsc is not your everyday's cup of tea. People waste years of time for this exam and then all of a sudden, they have nothing else to do . No matter, how smart, intelligent, hardworking you are, its wise to have an alternate ready just in case upsc doesn't work out for you. Stop getting carried away in the heat of emotions of clearing upsc.
Yes u r right he is just fooling people by saying ki 10 saal Tak Lage raho kuch na kuch ho jayega....upsc tutors apne benefits ke liye kitna Gir skte h shame on him
Upsc ka selection rate dekho phir lecture dena mai kai sincere aspirants ko janta hu jo bahut mehnat karte hai but unka pre bhi nhi nikla hai 7-8 attempt ke baad bhi isliye plan b is must
When you are 32 and you are over with all your attempts despite being sincere, and the world will look at you with eyes of a failure, Patience does not come to rescue. A solid plan B is a must.
Mr Shakir, let's say 11 lakh appearing students have mindset of not having plan B, and after examination let's say ~950 got selected then what about remaining aspirants who were dedicated enough to prepare by having single plan to focus on. Then what's next with them?? Please give your guidance regarding this
Sir is trying to say that first decide your plan B as soon as possible. If you start to work on your plan B at an early stage then you will have some advantage. Second Sir is trying to convey that every plan B has its respective strategy for ex CAT even after securing 99%tile, If you have some job experience or post graduation degree then you are at an advantage or for bank exams you need to build a strong base for aptitude. Hope it will help you. Thank you
Sir is saying that you must first decide how many attempts you must give. It must be very clear for you that if not in these x number of attempts it gets cleared, then you must move on to your backup option that can be anything. But the earlier you start on your backup, the better it will be for you to get success in your backup option, otherwise anyway you will get the job but you might not be as successful as if you would have been if started earlier. Key advice is : .If you prepare sincerely, you will get selected in govt service . It might take some years but you will get selected .You must clearly define your attempts for this exam, after which if you are not able to clear then you must move on to your backup option, so you dont get too late for backup option. .Take your degree seriously because things like post graduation, work experience sometimes matter in backup option. Thats it.
Backup Plan is quite simple for humanities students. As I'm also a Humanities student and currently pursuing Graduation in Ba Hons Sociology. So I will do masters in Sociology and then NET/JRF and then I'll be eligible for Assistant Professor and also for TGT/PGT in intermediate Schools.
In the meantime of Masters your age of attempting the upsc exam is also completed that is 21. So you are now eligible for UPSC and state services exams both at the same time. Syllabus and materials is almost same for both the exams only you need to study the state related facts and news specifically for sometime.(for mains mostly).

Sir ji gumraah mat kro....be straightforward.....kuch ghanta nhi milta hai agr selection nhi hota hai toh upsc me....jivan narak ban jata hai....but anyway....jine wale fir bhi jee lete hai.....uspc ka shi tyaari class 9 se shuru kr dena chaiye .....with solid degree backup. E.g. nursing(iska scope foregin countries me bhut jyada hai), mbbs, economics, any of the trending BSc degree etc, IITIAN, IIM DEGREE ETC.... in short STEM degree very useful....in case plan B , most of the Humanity degres are useless in india....but....IAS bnnne k liye yeh subjecta pdna must hai....or ENGLISH medium me hi tyaari krna chaiye....in case not selected....foreigner country me jaake kuch labour ka kaam toh mil hinjayega...😂😂.....
