I think the name of your van is Elvis ... his twin, Jesse, unfortunately, didn't live ... but Elvis never forgot his twin and missed him all his life ... he truly felt a twin bond.
When I was a little girl my mom put a pathos slip into an empty Mrs. Butterworth bottle and set it on my dresser. My babysitter convinced me she could hear Mrs. Butterworth talking and I would lean my ear up to the bottle to try to hear her and never could 😢 You know I have that bottle displayed in my kitchen! Sometimes I talk to her while I’m the kitchen. I like to think she speaks to me telepathically with words of wisdom ♥️
I love the gong. I got one a couple months ago after furniture market. I live near High Point NC so there are often awesome finds after it's over. One of the venders got a great deal from his buddy on this vintage Asian gong that had been brought over just for styling purposes. He bought for a space in his house but found out afterwards that it didn't fit. He sold it to me for $25. I have seen it on line retailing for $500 and up. Love to see all of us score!!
That little soup crock/bowl with a lid - I see the exact same ones EVERY time I go into a Goodwill, no matter where the Goodwill is located. I used to take photos because it was just so weird that they were always there.
I’m in South Jersey and where I live there’s only one Goodwill and it’s small and they never have anything. We have Salvation Army and thrift stores, but they don’t have anything anything near to what your goodwill up there have the store you go to you’re so lucky.
Burlington county here...agreed! The GW stores are dirty, no organization and mostly overpriced/broken stock. *The nicest/cleanest being in Cherry Hill but it is small. Have you tried "Red, White and Blue" in Berlin on Rt 73? My fav, I always find cool stuff at reasonable prices there 👍
Van names- Vinnie The Van, “Anrny” because it’s a big unit and he was in the movie Twins. Or Anne The Ragtime Van, probably eventually becoming Annie 😊
Apollo and Artemis, twins born of Leto and Zeus, were the divine archers of Greek mythology. They were similar in many ways - they both had a love for archery and the hunt, they were equally, highly venerated, and they often chose youthful forms to express themselves.
So excited for y'all! The van looks great and y'all are the cutest couple. I am learning so much about vintage shopping and thrifting. Have a great time in Germany and safe travels home. Hugs from South Louisiana! 🐊🐟🦆🐧
I love Van Gogh, but the twins and history? Romulus and Remus… Also: who does your editing? Your videos are so well produced! The best in RUclips Thrifting!
Apollo and Artemis, twins born of Leto and Zeus, were the divine archers of Greek mythology. They were similar in many ways - they both had a love for archery and the hunt, they were equally, highly venerated, and they often chose youthful forms to express themselves. Artemis of course!!! I name all my vehicles. Like a cat or dog you have to have a name😂
At 15:34 there was a small green pitcher just off center to the right. It is vintage American, Mt. Clemens from the 30's. Sells for about $25-$50. I love watching your videos and others when you are actually shopping and see if I see things you didn't. (It is so hard to see everything in real life! It would be a fun video to make a compilation of clips from your videos where followers see something you missed!! All in good fun, no judgement of course.
Laverne, Shirley, Phoebe or Ursula - I know they're famous TV pairs, but can't choose between them - any of them would be great! Can't wait to see what you will choose!
Cleopatra! So exciting to see you finally getting a van. I’ve just binged all your videos these past few weeks from the very beginning. I love what you’ve got going on :)
I have genuine walnut frames and nobody is interested in them. Beautiful prints in them too. It is amazing how things will sell on the coast but not in the south.
Just now finding you. New subscriber!! Love that you show us how you style items and even more, love that you share what you paid and what you would resell for. Helps a newbie so much!!
Watched the video where Jesse found that weird creepy head , that takes batteries . My grandfather had one in his basement 😂 it’s crazy how you can see something and the memories just come back . I feel like you pulled his tie and something would happen ❤
Name it Alanis for twins Alanis and Wade Morissette. Alanis is a musical artist of the 90s music scene. Her acclaim to fame was her top singles "Ironic" and "Jagged Little Pill ", cool and edgy for great thrifting and traveling adventures 😊
@@moonlove-v3dikr!? I can’t believe the blue pottery mugs were ONLY $1.99! Those would have been at least $4.99 or more like $6.99 in Tupelo, MS Goodwill! Also it is always best to go as soon as they open. There is always a line at the door and a rush to the back. The carts are coming out quick as the day begins. But there is NEVER the quality of items you find and definitely not at those steal prices!! Laura has a saturated market of spectacular finds!
I was too busy looking at the textured color on the bottom at first 😂 And was obsessed with the shape! It turns out it’s a modern piece that sells at high end shops for over $100. Too bad for the crack! 🙃

For your van what about something mythological? Freyja (pron. Fray-er) comes to mind, a twin with Freyr. Freyja is a fertility Goddess which I thought would be a nice wish of abundance for your business and home.

Ah, such great finds this outing! Wish we had thrift stores like this in our corner of the world. Also, Remus of Romulus and Remus is a possible name for the van. Fits the 'twins from history' prompt and also works if you're a Potterhead.
Hi Lauren, any tips for removing very strong cigarette smoke smell from glazed pottery and lustre glaze pieces? So far washing in hot soapy water, and now sitting in a sealed container with some bicarbonate soda … but not holding out much hope…
I bought a piece of Greek pottery off eBay that arrived wreaking of cigarette smoke. I soaked it for hours in a sink full of hot water, a lot of vinegar, baking soda & Dawn power wash & it really helped. I had to do it a couple of times, but it worked! I hope this helps!
Just thinking that the koi could be used for incense. In summer, the Japanese burn that spiral incense to keep mosquitos away and the incense burners take a variety of interesting forms. Maybe that isn't what the koi is, but it might be. Of course the base is missing.
Actually snorted when Jesse pulled out that massive fan lmao 🤣 Good pottery scores this time around - have you considered crossing the border and seeing what the thrifts are like in Canada? In response to naming your van, I think "Van Gogh" would be a great name. Love your videos!
This is my favorite. It would be so cute on a custom made tag, on the front of the van. 😂
Love that!😂
Van Gogh was the name of my van when I had it. I totally vote for this name!
Love it.
Perfect name!
The name Artemis, fits you perfect. It means the goddess of the hunt, her twin was Apollo
I also thought Artemis! I think it is great!
great!
GioVANni. For Laura’s love of Italian pottery.
That is outstanding!!
He was Italian
Not Italian
In the 90s my cousin had a white mini van, we used to call it Vanna White
This is brilliant. Made my day xx
😂😂😂 love it!
Van Gogh is appropriate but Vanna White is the most fun.❤
Thanks for the shout-out, friend! Your new van is so great, and I'm excited to see you FILL IT UP!
Maybe the van’s name should be the Snaggin’ Wagon because you two are always snagging such great treasures!
😃 fun!
😂😆
Hahahaha,
Oh ,boy 😂😅 do I have friends on the REZ that would meme that name to death 😅😂
Very good!
GEMini for sure with all the 'gems' you find!
Laura you are such a bright light in the world. Keep shining!
I would use canned air to blow the dust off your beautiful metal bird. I use it for items I can’t wash or dust. Works pretty well! Good luck.
I think the name of your van is Elvis ... his twin, Jesse, unfortunately, didn't live ... but Elvis never forgot his twin and missed him all his life ... he truly felt a twin bond.
Jessie's crochet blankets on the back of the van...so good. Like the show Roseanne. I love he loved them. So good.

When I think of twins & antiques I think the Keno brothers! Leslie & Leigh. But I really love the name of your shop Left Coast Revivals.
Dangit I was gonna say them too! They are fabulously successful at what they do! They started at a very young age. Just like our girl!
Gemini. Just bought my daughter a penguin ice bucket from an estate sale. It's for her first apartment. She loves it!

Names I just thought of too!! Great minds....😊
I was thinking the same names, most famous Roman historical twins Remus and Romulus.
You guys are soooo much fun to watch. Love your taste in picking when shopping.
Greetings from Tx 😊
Great video. The van looks like a Romulus. ❤
Remus, from Romulus & Remus, the twin bulls of Rome (a nod to your love of Italy). And Remus just fits a van, I think.
Apollo and Artemis, twins born of Leto and Zeus, were the divine archers of Greek mythology. They were similar in many ways - they both had a love for archery and the hunt, they were equally, highly venerated, and they often chose youthful forms to express themselves. Artemis of course!!! The only famous twin names I can think of are Robin and Maurice. Drew and Jonathan. I love your new van.

Love the van! It has so much space! Y’all were way overdue for a bigger vehicle!! Congratulations!!!🤗
I believe the snowman candles you looked at were vintage Gurley . I think they sell online from 23-26 each.
I have genuine walnut frames and nobody is interested in them. Beautiful prints in them too. It is amazing how things will sell on the coast but not in the south.
Our vote is for "Van Gogh" to name your new ride. Also pop the headrests off it amazing how much more room you get. ❤
A famous twin on Friends...Phoebe! (Ursula is her twin)
Congrats on your new van. You guys found some awesome items.
Romulus and Remus . The twine brothers who where raised by a she-wolf and went on to found the Roman state. It better then Vany Mc van face.😊

I agree with the person who suggested “Van Gough!”
Van Gogh, as in Vincent van Gogh. Dutch Art Painter. Please don’t butcher his name. 🇳🇱🇳🇱

Love your new vehicle: Rip Van Twin-kle 😜
You were holding a Mon Chi Chi doll in that adorable picture of you from when you were little. “Mon Chi Chi Monchichi, oh how soft and cud-dly!
I just ordered vintage Mon Chi Chi for my son’s gf for Christmas on Etsy. I had no idea they were still a thing. Not cheap but cute as can be.
My idea for your van is Bobsey (Bobsey Twin books)
Just thinking, put BOBSEY TWIN BOOKS on it, no one will steal it.
Yay congrats on the van !! Enjoy the markets Merry Christmas guys xx
Artemis! The Goddess of the hunt! 🏹
This reasoning is brilliant!!
Jesse.. get some "E track" mounted on the sides of the van and straps so you can strap larger pieces in. You can get em at a enclosed trailer dealer.
I just broke the Norgwegian saucer--so now I have cups, no saucers. I gasped when I saw the ones you found--and for 1.99. Elvis for the van.
Elvis’s twin was Jesse!

You found so many great goodies. Congratulations on your van.
16:50 I saw the crack on that black bowl made in France as soon as you picked it up. I’m glad Jesse spotted it before you purchased it! 😊

I was going to say Romulus also! Because all roads lead to Rome (with amazing thrifting along the way)!
I was thinking of that too. Rome is great, lived there for a few months while my Dad was doing a lecture at a university in the city.
To honour Italy, for your van you have to pick Romolo or Remo, the twins that, according to the legend, founded Rome.😊

Or dryer balls,
I don't recall seeing you pick up the barrel-shaped wood container. My brother-in-law had (or has) one and he stored his pipe tobacco in it, hence the container in the lid (to hold matches, I think). Very cool find! Van name, I like Artemis (goddess of the hunt).

It is sad. It makes me wonder if the mother and/or son passed away.
The mom probably didn’t donate it, it’s likely an estate clear out. It happens all the time.
Laura and Jesse, Now that you have a van...fly down to Austin, TX to do some picking. I'll put you up in my beautiful house just 1/2 mile from Barton Springs Pool and 1 miles from Zilker Park. I suggest “The Bunker” after the famous Siamese twins, Chang and Eng Bunker.
I had that same idea but didn't post after scrolling through the comments. I am not alone...you have a great idea!
Regarding the van name- I’m mostly Italian and I know you love Italy, to pay homage to Rome- is it Romulus and Remus???
