Wow, Howard Shore sure enjoys those dissonant chords, but the opening theme that he wrote has such a mysterious, almost hypnotic sound to it. Marc, as always, job well-done.
I can see every frame of the movie just listening. I was just about to say that you have to do concerning hobbits but i see you are always one step ahead, love this
I will always wonder how it must have felt to discover the movie for the very first time with this amazing cinematography and music. Especially for book readers, how does it feel to watch your favorite literature saga become real in front of your eyes for the first time? It must have felt amazing!
I remember being 9 when I first saw this movie in theaters. I was with my step-mother and brother. I had no expectations going into other than what I had seen in the trailers. And boy was I completely shocked, enchanted and beautifully confused as to what was going on. I knew I was way in over my head as far as trying to fully comprehend was happening. I had never seen anything like this before. I was just so completely present in the moment, letting the totality of the film wash over me. I basked in all of the rich, magnificent visuals, the gigantic booming score, the sprawling sets and the incredibly 3 dimensional characters. I don’t believe I even knew the movie was an adaptation let alone heard of the Tolkien or his novels before. Once I did discover that fact, I was totally hooked on Tolkien, hooked on high fantasy as a genre and mythologies ever since!
YES! Your videos are what have kept me practicing French horn this summer. Your videos are some of the absolute best content on RUclips and they only get better, this is awesome!
This are wonderful! My favourite film OST and my favourite horn player! ^_^ I had to edit this! That battle scene!! Are you planning any more LotR music?
Homie you really make me missing playing the French horn and please upload more LOTR music the music it self and you playing along with it is just so good
Even I'm not so often on your channel, I'm always proud when I could hear music from you ! =) I hope that I could start one day a collabtion with you =)
Howard Shore , the most improved Tolkien's world composer ... And great Canadian pianist ! That was the most high fantasy epic score of all times ... May I suggest also Ben Hur , Conan the Barbarian and Sodom and Gomorrah ? Is simple ... Or Jesus Of Nazareth perhaps ? ! Also good epic soundtracks ( Miklos Rosza , Basil Polydouris and Maurice Jarre )
It's very very lovely, but I think it'd be better not starting the next sequence if your not going to finish it - a bit jarring to have it cut out. I get it's for the "end of video clicks" but that seems unnecessary to me - better to either keep it going to the end, or have silence (let the music you just played ring in the ears). Then if we do a playlist latter it's not starting and stopping if we're not their to click it forward.
Such an entitled POV. Marc owes you nothing and has been making videos like this since RUclips was in its infancy. He’s got nothing to prove ; and certainly isn’t in this for clicks. The man has single handedly transcribed the majority of John Williams discography and played it on French Horn. He’s entitled to do whatever cuts he feels necessary.
@@macree01 Of course he is! Why would you think I believe otherwise? You know these comments are for constructive feedback as well as for praise right? An example of constructive feedback: I suggest you save your energy to identify actual trolls. P.S. "end of video clicks" was refering to the links to other cover videos that pop up at the end - if that has a real name, I don't know it.

It's easy to play when your horn was forged in the fires of Mount Doom...
I wonder how it compares to playing the horn of Helm Hammerhand though.

You are doing a service to all horn player. Thank you!
