Chris Patrick's plan for success after the Ovechkin era | Muggli and Parascak entry level deals

The Washington Capitals have expressed their intention to have an active offseason, aiming to maintain a competitive team in D.C. for years to come, even after Alex Ovechkin retires from hockey.
The team has signed defenseman Leon Muggli to a three-year, entry-level deal with an average annual value of $940,833 and plans to loan him to EV Zug in the Swiss National League for the upcoming season to aid in his development.
Leon Muggli, known for his composed and shutdown style of play, possesses good decision-making skills, takes care of the puck, and plays intelligently in his own zone, and has the potential to contribute offensively.
