Did I relax my edges???? Idk if it’s the oil or the injections 🥴

- I noticed that the texture of my edges have changed completely and I can't put a finger as to why that is. the only thing I've changed in routine is that I've added the prescribed oil to my diet and I've had two rounds of shots. These farm grown edges are new to me but I'm embracing them. My question is what happens if I stop the injections/oil? Will the texture revert??

It could be a side effect but it’s cute or whateva! 🤭🥰
🥰🥰 thank you
I had injections before and it was explained that hair changes texture every 7 years and my looser curl pattern in that area was because of that 7 year change. Injections are pushing our hair to grow like the first time, like in utero.
Yes! This is exactly what I was thinking. It’s like my hair is growing in like a newborns hair grows in! I wish this information was communicated to me, at least I know what to expect.
@tamithecreator Yes, that would have definitely been helpful for you so you wouldn't be surprised. But the good thing is that the texture isn't foreign. It's your own and it texture that comes from your parents and their parents. It's a groudswell of discovery. Before you know it'll, you'll be down the rabbit hole of family scalps and texture like Inspector Gadget! Lol! I know I did!
Oh wow thank you for all the information; I have had 3 rounds of PRP for my edges recovery, I have seen major results but I still have some bald spots so I was contemplating going another route (no more blood drawing 😅)
@@AltraTara I'm glad you saw results with the PRP, the steroid injections are way easier. Its just a shot that feels like a pinch done every 6 weeks. Definitely a great alternative route
Wow. So it's baby hair!
That's the original "baby hair " The injections are being out your new growth in its original condition ❤
The eyebrows though 😍
Maybe it's growing back new like it's your (LITERAL) baby hair. As it grows out, it may change to your natural adult texture. 🤷🏽♀️
Mine is like that, my edges suffered a lot so it's recovering and they just look like really soft baby hairs...I think it'll change when everything is fully recovered
I thought relaxed edges would be straight yours look natural.
Never took steroids, but I shaved my head bald, and when the hair grew back, I had a different hair texture: It looks permed. Actually, it reminds me of the hair I had when I was an infant.
Omg your hair looks so good and healthy!! I’ve been following your journey, but hadn’t seen your videos in a while. I pray mine gets just full and healthy. I’m still struggling with the front area. I’m wearing a protective style right now and still treating it with castor oil, etc. 🤞🏾🙏🏾🤞🏾🙏🏾
Sounds to me like you're doing just fine! Keep going consistency is key!
Thank you! I’m going to use the mix you used with the doo gro, hair fertilizer, blessing oil 🙏🏾🥰, etc and apply a couple times a week with my protective styles and Lords will I’ll see a difference. I’ll keep you posted 😊
What protective style? Sometimes those styles are the problem
Personally I think they look so cute 🥰🥰
My edges are like that naturally, some days I don’t do nothing and they just lay there😂 even thought about cutting them because they come past my top eye lid when stretched, then it spring up but the “roots” lay down 🤷🏽♀️
When I got a hair transplant my edges looked like that too. Your edges look just like mine when wet. I have 4a/4b hair
I used monoxidil for my hair line because it thinned from braids in childhood. The hair on my hairline came back whispy and soft. Its newer hair in a more delicate area that grows delicate hair anyway so theres my guess.
🤞🏽 Please post a video or even another short of your salon visit!
Omg I will, just know she had to cut a lot off ☹️
😊 Health over length and your wash day detangling will be so much better.
That’s normal!! It’s bringing out the original texture 💪🏽
I had injections done last yr and my hair grow bk and don't stress about it your be jt fine and your looks good love from ur new auntie ❤🎉
YESSSS! I love hearing success stories about the injections. Theres not enough information out there for us
Heyy y’all ✨If you don’t mind my asking @bettycouncil6637 which type of steroid / chemical / did they inject into your hair line or did they use your own plasma from your blood? Have you gotten any more injections since last year? And are injections a forever thing, like do you have to keep going back to get your hair line injected in order to keep / maintain hair growth results? I would love to hear your input on this, thank you ✨
It just looks beautiful if u ask me😂
😂 well thank you lol
Please try some kaleidoscope drops please stop with those injections do your scalp bleeds a little bit
I remember when you cut your hair some time ago. Your hair is really thriving 🖤✨ I’m so happy for you! I have alopecia so I also tried with the steroids as well but no success for Mo 😂 but seriously though so happy for your success on your journey 🫶🏾
Awwww I'm mad the steroids didn't work for you, idk why they work for some and not others. 🫤 Hope you're doing well though nonetheless. I appreciate your kind words.
That’s how my edges look now & it’s never been like that. I’ve never gotten any steroid injections. In fact I asked my sister what if I have cancer smh 🤦🏽♀️ because my daughter grandfather had cancer and it changed his hair texture completely
My edges are that texture naturally
Idk but it looks really cute like little girls hair
My edges look like that too especially when they a just growing in!!
I think it looks cute...I'm transitioning to Virgin hair at 16 months and my edges look like yours when you had your relaxer in.
Its basically like when babies come out with that placenta perm😂 itll eventually return to its normal texture. When my friend lost her hair to chemo & she had to start over ..she had it for months. Exactly what I called it lol Placenta perm
😭 very informative and this makes sense - I'm going to miss my placenta perm 🥹
My baby hairs look like that. I think it's because they're now growing. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about
I think it's new hair growth
Chile, you got them natural baby hairs that these chicks are doing clownish-ish to get.
You betta break out your praise dance!🙌
💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 lol
@@tamithecreator 😂
The older your hair strands & New Hair follicles become on your edges the more coarse they will get. Maybe they’ll start to get a more Coily texture like the rest of your hair. Stop entertaining the clowns 🤡 that are trying to distract you off your Natural hair journey. Blessings 💕
definitely subscribed to you lol you are straight to the point, no filter
@@tamithecreator Lol. The Longer & healthier you hair gets the more haters will come for you! Stay ready sis. We got you! Thanks for subscribing. Appreciate you. Blessings💕
no injections here and i transitioned back 5 mos ago and my edges look permed too
really?? What is going on??? lol
My daughters edges are like that as well. She’s 11 never had a perm. I had her hair done at a beauty school and the instructor asked me if she had a perm. I told her no never. My daughter has 3 different hair textures and gray hair too lol 😂. Depending on products used her hair will become straight on the ends but curly once dry and her gray hair will turn black temporarily. I had used Alma oil to thicken her hair. Once I achieved that and stop using it her gray hair came back 😂. The beauty school instructor thought I was lying about her hair. My daughter told her she wasn’t allowed to have a perm. I told her I wouldn’t lie so y’all can mess up my babies head ! She was only getting natural twist anyway.
This is my opinion. I think we as 4c we have Baby hair in our that's was it is so fragile.
In our edges.
Its not a side effect of that but either way it looks cute :) you look amazing
Sweetie, they the dermatologist more than likely gave you PRP= platelet-rich plasma, not steroidal injections. Dr. Will draw your blood, and the machine will separate the plasma from the blood. Plasma is a golden color, and they call it liquid gold. Dr. will then inject the plasma into the affected/balding areas. However, I'm not sure that's a side effect. Could be since it's NEW hair being rebirth from your scalp, new growth from follicles that had been damaged or destroyed
Hey! Thank you for the comment. I didnt take the PRP route we just used steroid injections and called it a day. She did ask me about my blood and such and I chose the easier route and its worked for me.
How my hair is always been as well as my kids especially my child that’s jus how their hair type is
My edges look puffy when their not wet, but they look like yours when wet too.
Doesn’t look relaxed to me just less tight. I have 3 textures in my head 🤦🏽♀️
It’s literal baby hair. Because it’s so brand new!
Like literallllllly baby hair lol
It doesn't look relaxed. It's curly.just a looser curl.
My edges are a different texture than the rest of my hair also most people have multiple textures in their hair idk
what is that white stuff on everyone hair
same thing in this video, I was at the hair salon it’s shampoo/conditioner..
Mine the same way an i have dreads
It’s so weird to see in the comments how many people are gawking over texture change. It goes to show why the Asians profit margins is ridiculous on black hair care fake products. I can only imagine how many people will be ok with taking prednisone weight gains and other illnesses to have their hair texture change. SAD the hate you people have for your natural hair.
What are you yapping about?
Your edges doesn't look relaxed it looks like natural slick and curl hair when wet
4C all day.....
No ion see it
That's not 3c
So do steroid injections work??
Yes
@@tamithecreator thank u
Plss take down that picture
What pic?
where can u get steroid injections
You'd have to ask your dermatoligist for them
They make your forehead weird shaped
my edges?
