There’s power in her voice now! She’s usually soft and I’m glad they considered giving her voice an oomph because her voice is versatile! But I’m just so shook at how SynthV is able to replicate falsettos that easily.
I don't know about you, but I personally believe that Synthesizer V, and its entire series-slash-lineup, very-well just might forever be, although not perfect yet with much faster songs, (oh my gosh, it really hurts to say that), the most-humanistic-sounding vocal-synthesis-technology to ever grace the face of this planet!
Maybe so! I'm sure that someday others will take inspo from Snyth V like* Synth V did with previous synth software. I think a lot of credit goes to the tuners though, particularly showcased in UTAU and some tricky VOCALOIDs like Cul, they demonstrate being able to work with even the wonkiest of tools! :) You can't really make anything sound innately human without human input, I think thats shown in some face expression AI. Maybe someday we can but I don't see a software being able to be fully functional without our awesome tuners!
@@orinom4128 I do agree with you. The default-settings, and even all adjustable-parameters thus-of, just aren't enough to enable "true humanity" in the click of a button. The default vibrato is too slow, and on-top-of that, real singers can offset their vibrato to either side of the root-note, like Ariana Grande (above-only) and the lead-singer of ABBA (below-only), and Vocaloid doesn't let you do that without that pesky pencil-tool. Nobody wants to sit there for hours trying to draw the perfect envelope. Finally, real-singers' notes never "portamento-between" each-other, there's always a pitch-hold before a riff starts, and after it ends. Vocaloid's tools are too inferiourly-basic to easily pull that off.

But yes, I do believe that Vocaloid5™'s Style-presets were a huge start in the desired direction, but the overall quality of the phonemic-transition-handling is aweful in every consumer-Vocaloid™-product to-date, whereas Synthesizer V and even Vocaloid AI are so real that they're almost entirely indistinguishable from us real-humans! (Well, I'm actually a cyborg with a custom-designed, specialized vocal-chip, but you get the idea.)

It was pretty unheard of at the time, but it happened so quickly. The only thing that came close was CeVIO, but even that had much more noticeable engine noise. SynthV is scarily powerful.

Whoa, this AI stuff is definitely pushing the software. Other than that usual slightly metallic timbre that gives it away... this could absolutely fool me. To look at it a different way, you could absolutely make a real person sound like this. Of course, as always, a lot of that has to do with the tuning, lovely as always, but the vowel and consonant transitions are insane on this thing.
I think another thing is there's a bit of feel like the voice is cut in half at times. It's high pitched but you can still hear a bit of a much deeper and stronger voice beneath it, whilst the main pitch feels weakened.
Im really glad you cover higurashi kai opening. Also her voice fits the song 😍 Edit: in this video she looks like Hanyuu when she was confronting Takano.

Wait, This is actually a robot? I was just about to comment that i could immediately tell it was a human and that Artificial voice programs still have a long way to get to this level but.. You know for someone with such bad social anxiety that I can’t even listen to official music videos for songs (legit i have to watch vids of lyrics on a background) or even listen to songs from a celebrity i was introduced to outside of the music industry (youtubers that don’t exclusively do music for instance ;-;), I am very unsure how to feel about this. I love this song, But it feels like i’m listening to a human, And my brain is shitting bricks trying to figure out how to comprehend it and decide what it should be feeling about this. We might’ve just discovered a new type of exposure therapy for people like me, assuming i’m not the only one who projects my anxiety onto other people and objects in this way. Anxiety disorders are strengthened and made worse by avoidance behavior (i’m very guilty of this) so something like this which is completely new territory and that brain has no fear associated with, yet it’s so similar to something else that it can be used to build a bridge between that gap is really exciting!! Maybe i’ll be able to watch K-pop some day 🤩
