Exactly. And you can balance out the proportions by wearing something smaller or tighter on top. Or, lean into it and wear something super oversized on top.
Wider toe ares feels better for me. I walk a lot. The shoes look great, but my feet are different. I like arches, narrowing looks, and support. Comfortable is a must.❤
That length only works if you have your own car and the pants are dark, even then you would have to clean them after every wear. White pants would be a lost cause in any situation.
I feel what you’re saying 😭 Long pants always look so good in pictures but I walk around all the time and everywhere and (too) long pants are just way too impractical for everyday life 😐 especially white ones 😭
I usually like Lydia's style, except for the wide leg pants. It's just so unpractical to let the pants be in that length for a daily basis. Not only will it get dirty from accidentally stepping on the hems so many times, but it will get destroyed eventually. If you have money to get it tailored or equipments to do it by yourself, just trim them based on your body height. It's more flattering that way.
The actual trend is to wear wide leg pants with 1- 2cm gap from the ground and wear them with high heels, You can go chunky, pointy, stiletto whatever, but high heels, they will be covered by the shoe. try it you will love it
@rayonlaser2213 I like the wide leg pants, actually. More like a collector I would say 😅. But I always cut 2-3 cm of the hems because I don't like how dirty it would be if I let it too close to the ground. Even though I washed it right after wearing, it just didn't want to come off. I also torn one of them once before I learned how to do some tailoring (and because I was too lazy). And it's more practical that way, too, since I am walking all the time (using public transport and everything. They are nasty 😓). I just don't understand how Lydia just could wear it like that 😭
@@artesiarastania5998 because maybe she wears them in the living room. Perfect length wide leg pants, 2cm from the ground is the best. Many of pants are cut for that combination. Of course, this will not work with different height of heels, and that’s why people wear them bad, even if it became a trend. I personally find pants that touch the ground totally disgusting, and I agree with your tastes
I agree with absolutely everything said. Those chunky boots are very unsophisticated and almost teen like. The longer pants looks like you are gliding into a room and that’s so beautiful. Shorter hems look like the pants were cheap or on sale and you are just making do with it. Balancing the wide leg with a more fitted top is lovely but the sweater also looked great on her. Excellent advice and I really enjoyed seeing a well put together fashionable model.
So if you actually walk with this trousers outside or commute to work, at the time you arrive at the office your pants are already dirty. Unless you have a magic erraser...not classy imo.
Am a man but I’ve learned a lot of really interesting tips from this channel that are either not well communicated or not well understood in mens fashion. So, thank you!
The chunky boots 100% look better than the pointy ones. You did the same thing with wide leg pants + sandals, the chunky sandals fit the width of the pants better and the dainty sandals made it look like little pin feet and messed up the proportions. Bad advice.
I absolutely LOVE the combat boot with the wider hems. And those tiny points sticking out look so weird! You clearly missed the 60s and 70s or you’d know. 😂
Love it. Can you do a video about different type of shoes you can have in the winter when having looser trousers/bootcut/suit pants etc? Like when going just to doing something random, ahopping, for work, for coffee, a date etc? 💕🥰 I always have a hard time with those but even more in winter!! 🙁💕🙏🏼
I liked both versions in outfits 1 and 3, they are just different styles, there isn’t one wrong and one right, they both can look good depending what you’re going for. Enjoy what feels right for you!
beautiful trousers I have this type of trouser but i found that when i point pointy shoes or boots on with them they looked just not right pointy bits sticking out from the bottom so I always wear smart dressy loafers or shoes that are not so pointy I just felt (for me) they balanced my outfits out but gorgeous outfits Iv copies so many from you xx
I'm not really a heels girl but love wide leg trousers, would really benefit from some tips in styling them with flats, or even trainers for a casual look mixing tailored pieces with more casual ones? ❤
Who wants pants dragging on the floor? I can’t wear heels anymore 😢 but I like the wide pants, so platform sandals/shoes are flattering. I like the elevation.
What can you do when your wider feet refuse to wear pointed toe shoes? ❤ The chunky boot was my 90s look. 😄 I would still love it with artful Doc Martens. Also: pleeeease take care when you are wakling down stairs with heels and wide-legged trousers, the legs can get entangled easily around the heel! Not fun! ❤❤❤
I love the length on these trousers. I was a very tall child and couldn't find things long enough (unless my mom made them, which she kinda had to). The shorter ones were pedal pushers in my childhood, now called capris. Equally ugly to me, no matter the name. Even if you're 6'2" and skinny as a rail, they have the ability to make every woman look short and dumpy. Not the look I'm going for. Thanks for keeping them luxuriously long. 😊
And what about which coat suits better with wide leg trousers? because i have noticed you use bombers and long coats equally. I also would love to watch a video of weinter wedding outfits. Thanks for your videos, i really love your channel
You have shown us those boots so many times. Can you please tell us where they are from because so many people would like to know as I’ve seen in the comments. Thank you
@@lookwhatiboughttoday Thank you darling. But I forgot mentioning that I was referring to the chunky ones. I’ve commented again in other videos asking where the chunky ones are from but nothing yet. They look really nice & tight to the ankle which is hard to find, that is why I was interested in them. Thanks again 🖤
@@lookwhatiboughttoday I’ve searched but I didn’t find anything. Maybe they are from last year, I’ve no idea. Only pair I found was at H&M, with white faux fur lining but not as tight on the ankle as these. 🖤
I agree with the pairing of the more sleek shoe with wide leg trousers….it gives a more feminine look to it. The other was more masculine. Now if that’s the look you’re going for then go ahead but it is overall very clunky and bottom heavy. It’s Almost cartoonishly look like those shoes clowns wear
I might just not suit your body type ! I’m curvy and I find that too much legs can make me look chunky when I’m not 😅 I think you really have to experiment with it
I like straight wide leg trousers because they tend to elongate thr legs but I feel nowadays everything is too oversized and the body shape ends up lost under our clothes which is not so flattering...
I move from Panama to Lithuania and I can't do anything but long coats and chunky boot (if i want to survive the cold) how do I make it work without looking like a frozen potato bag (I'm 1.60m)😅
Not all trouser hems are made equal, especially for tall and equally short girls who don’t really get a choice for how low/high a trouser hem falls. So your hem “rules” are actually quite discriminatory.
Personally I feel there's a big difference between wide leg trousers and trousers that are several sizes too large. All these are ill fitting on her and much too long. Shoe styles are a matter of taste, but ill fitting is ill fitting.
Any tailor will tell you the pants are obviously too long in the longer length. They look like they don’t fit you properly, which ruins the look. It looks like you don’t know how to wear them, rather than looking intentional.
Maybe stop trying to tell people what to do and not to do and start by just showing how different styles work out. This ist the perfect example how you are giving a lot of people a bad modd by telling them they do not have a sense of fashion. Although it's just based on your individual liking.
These videos are useless honesty, I don't see anything wrong here, a real mistake would be using tight blue jeans with super chunky Boots, stuff like that...
I actually like the chunky boots more than the pointy shoes. They give more of casual cool vibe to the outfit.
Agree. They are more appropriate for the everyday wearing
I thought the same! Both are good looks tho
Love how you said this, yeah I agree. It’s about the vibe you wanna go for. Elegant vs cool. Her style is more elegant I think!
Exactly. And you can balance out the proportions by wearing something smaller or tighter on top. Or, lean into it and wear something super oversized on top.
Wider toe ares feels better for me. I walk a lot. The shoes look great, but my feet are different. I like arches, narrowing looks, and support. Comfortable is a must.❤
I think the pants should be shorter. Some floors are filthy, and all streets are utterly filthy.
It kinda gives the vibe of im rich enough to not care about my pants or even im rich enough to only walk on clean floors lmao
i agree completely, i think it looks ridiculous when pants are too long and the hem starts dragging around on the dirt on the floor/ground.
That length only works if you have your own car and the pants are dark, even then you would have to clean them after every wear. White pants would be a lost cause in any situation.
This is a message that only workers understand.

Wide leg has nothing to do w length.
I actually love the oversized jumper with the wide camel trousers, so chic and cosy!

Same! I think it looks more "effortless".
yeah the boot size and trouser leg size match and look cohesive !!

Where is the first cream cardigan from 😍😍?
What if it was a tighter fitting top, then could you do a somewhat chunky boot?
Wiide pants as long as she suggests are impractical. I wear them so they are as long as can be WITHOUT draping on the floor.

I think the length on the lighter pants is fine as long as you don’t wear slingbacks

Those trousers are so long, don't they get dirty? Also I think the chunky boot works with the black trousers.
