GET REAL, Not only that but we do have nuclear systems that have way more efficient delivery than a jet…with that being said, there is no advantage of being able to put one on a plane….and 3rd you just contradicted yourself, if the US has been doing it with the B1 then why on earth would the raptor need to have that ability? Saw many F16 demo practices at Hill AFB back in the early 80's, and it was impressive. Saw many F15 demo practices at Holloman AFB in the early 90's. F-22's role as an air superiority fighter means it exceeds F-35 in turn radius and total top speed (F-22 supercruise almost hits F-35 top speed with afterburners, for example). This is by design and not some mistake given the F-35 is a multi role fighter bomber with a different mission set. NGAD is what's replacing F-22's fighting role for near peer conflicts. F-22 was top dog at a time when near peer conflicts didn't occur so it came and went. Great plane that just didn't get a chance to prove itself like it's predecessors. I would say the F-22 is still the world's top dogfighter and air superiority, with avionics capabilities only exceeded by the F-35.

    • @ialsoagree1634
      @ialsoagree1634 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@Knight_Kin Spot on, and it definitely still plays a role as a deterrent. Any pressure China may want to put against Taiwan will ultimately put them up against F-22's. Their counter to the AIM120 might have longer range, but the longer range is useless when an F-22 is able to fire and hit without the enemy ever knowing it was there.
      The range on these birds mean they can easily launch from Japan, make it to the straight, wreak havoc on any Chinese fighters, and then refuel on their way back home. While China may be pouring money into it's ability to repel US naval assets, that won't help them against Japanese based F-22's who will be able to achieve air superiority even without the assistance of US carrier groups.
      The F-22 might be on the way out, but it's still dominating the battlefield in the minds of our potential adversaries to this day.

    I swear this aircraft becomes more and more maneuverable with each year. I've never seen an F-22 do a Cobra, or that tail slide loop before. I'm sure that it didn't do these maneuvers 10 years ago.
    It's like F-22 gets some software updates that progressively unlock capabilities :D
    Great footage, and the camerawork is incredible as well. Really enjoyed watching this one.

      I think it's just the more people start to know about it, the more they're willing to show off at an airshow. It's still a very classified fighter that they won't sell to any other country.
      Hell I wouldn't be surprised if it could do even tighter loops than what was showed here.

      @invertwiley1689 can you imagine how high the skill gap is to actually fly these things?
      It cuts through the air with absolute ease and I'm sure the limits could be pushed even further, absolutely.
