A new video tutorial about Line-art tips in Krita. The theme was voted by my Patreon 'heros' who support the creation of open tutorials ; Thanks them again ! I hope you'll like it and I'm open to crits and comments to improve the next ones.
I have used Photoshop since 3.0 and what used to be called "Painter". I just discovered Krita this week and have used it to make a few sketches, inked drawings, and even an animation. I think what's key is that is has a great community teaching it other to use it. Thanks for posting this video. I'm going to redo an inked drawing with the assistant.
Thank you for letting me know this old video is still useful. Krita is changing a lot, I'm glad the core mechanism and feature are still not much changing.
One step at a time. Comparing your work to someone else's work is a sure way to fall into "the pit". It's just a matter of finding your style... Remember, Spongebob is artwork too. Someone settled on that.
Hush up, you don't have a long way to go. You WILL be there. Looking at your skill now and expecting your skill to be at the same level NOW is not the way to do it. Just look at it as your future. Look at the talent and see it as goals rather than impossible competition. I believe in you.
Very good tut. Your channel has some of the best krita tutorials on you tube. Thanks for posting. Ktita has a rather steep learning curve but I still enjoy using it.
Such beautiful artworks you made ! Wow You should make an ebook or something like " How To Draw Manga " with your own style , it's just awesome man ! If you made it I'll absolutely buy it :)
+Bajeri Hamidani Thank you! I'll produce a guide to draw ; it's on my to-do. But it's long and complex :) It will be free and open ( to be translated, edited, derivated ) so nothing to buy ;)
I'm a traditional artist but I've just been gifted a Huion Kamvas pro 13 and have downloaded Krita. This video of your work is amazing and you have truly inspired me, thank you. I look forward to watching more of your videos as I begin my new artistic adventure. Thank you for sharing :-) xXx
1:16 omgg i remember, i watched this video like once, and I thought it was really clever, used this tip like one or twice before well stop because I kinda like the grey sketch. But sometimes, i still use it do differentiate my different layers. I totally forgot where I learned that, but seeing this video just shows how even when I barely knew how to use Krita (and draw), i already used your great tips. It was a few years ago, i kinda stopped drawing digitally meanwhile, but recently, I've realized how much I love art, and your videos are full of great useful tips. Thanks again, and btw, i read you comic a while ago, it was really cool, and when I learned you made it, using Krita, i was soo happy. Krita deserves much more recognition, it's great, complete and free, but people keep downloading/buying what they know, so like procreate, Photoshop, cps, it makes me kinda sad but it's great to know that creators like you display how great it is :D
David, Fantastic tutorial, bonus points for the music. Et ton dessins sont magnifique! Look forward to my support on patreon! And I'll look forward to more tutorials from you.
My son wanted a drawing pad so I got him a Wacom. The software that came with it is more for art and not for drawing so Krita looks like a good place to start.
@@ygolohcysp8755He probably means art that resembles traditional painting/painting as opposed to line-based drawing. I've seen Wacoms come with Corel Painter so it makes sense. Just a small language issue, no biggie.
wow! the tutorial was really helpful and your lineart/linework is amazing! keep up the good work and I wish you a very well day to you! and I love your accent :O it's so awesome!
merci pour tes tutos, en complement de quelques bidouillages et explorations perso, ca permet de vraiment vite se former à ce soft magique qu'est krita !
Holy shit this is helpful! I had no idea Krita had some of these features. The vanishing point aid in particular is no doubt going to be a massive help as long as I can remember to use it. While I understand vanishing points, even if I'm doing multiple in one piece, it still gets severely annoying when I have to line up a lot of things.
If I could earn some money, I would totally support you on Patreon. Your lineart is lovely! P.S.: your accent was a bit stronger in this video, and it felt even better :D
This dudes line art is so smooth. When i do line art, the lines look like i was drawing on a roller coaster that was having a malfunction.
i think almost all programms have a stabilizier that helps you do straight lines! he is using it too!
@@BlackShootxD really? that's actually really helpful as I am new to digital art. Thanks!
I clean lines the problem it's that it doesn't look like the sketch
@@BlackShootxD Could you give me the name of this function or a way to enable it in Krita? I can't find it myself.

These tips are amazing, and your art is seriously awesome. Do you know which pens do you currently use for line-art (if you still use Krita)?

Those tips were nice! :)
there are some brushes that look pixeled when i draw. what can i do th fix that?
+Diamonddusted68 Edit brush settings > brush tip > check "anti-alias" option
(userbase.kde.org/Krita/Manual/Brushes)
Diamonddusted68 increase your canvas size or look at the brush name in the bottom left
