Thanks for the info. OK you guys, I've used "Davidoff's Cool Water" , "Acqua Di Gio" , "Versace" and a throwback from my younger days, "Grey Flannel". I just purchased "Dior Savage" and "Mont Blanc Legend Spirit". I almost always have received compliments from all the ones I use. We'll see what happens with the new ones. I'm still in the game even though I'm older now, so I still take pride in how I look and how I smell. By the way guys........I'm 73 !

    These are my favorites fragrances:
    1. Creed - Mellisime Imperial
    2. Chanel - Bleu de Chanel
    3. YSL - La Nuit de L’Homme
    4. Givenchy - Gentleman Givenchy
    5. Creed - Green Irish Tweed
    6. Armani - Acqua Di Gio Profumo
Although Creed has amazing scents, the performance is very disappointing!!! And they cost more than designer brands!!!
There is a fragrance by Dior called Eau Sauvage Parfum, 2012 vintage that is supposedly a fantastic scent!!! I haven’t had the chance to smell it but from what I understand it’s a classic mature scent without being dated!!! ☮️🖖🏽

First of all - I am glad you are doing something special for men over 40 - also when it comes to fragrances we don’t need to wear the same designer sweet fragrances like the teenagers do. Two years ago I found myself having the same 5-10 fragrances that I have had for many years and I went to RUclips and found a lot of fragrance reviews and now in the last two years I have bought way to many... So I would like to share some good ones from my collection which fits men over 40 with style and adds confidence....
Acqua Di Parma Colonia for mostly summer and Colonia oud for the winter season
Tom Ford Oud Wood and Tom Ford Ombre leather
Dior Fahrenheit perfume ( new version of a classic but more soft and moderne)
Maison Margiela Across Sands and By the Fireplace ( Fall and winter)
Bottega Veneta Pour Homme Essence Aromatique
    John Varvatos Vintage
    Hermès Terre D’Hermes
And last but not least three cheap ones...
    Bentley for men intense
    Bvlgari Man in black
    18-21 Man made Sweet Tobacco
Keep looking good and smelling great to all of us

You can't go wrong with Guerlain. Habit Rouge, L'Instant and Vertiver are three of my favourites. Lalique pour Homme (with the lion on the bottle) is great and of course you can't go wrong with Chanel pour Monsieur or Dior's Eau Sauvage. Things are classics for a reason!

I found that Sauvage EDP is much more of an older gentleman’s fragrance. Sauvage EDT smells very young. The EDP smells like a smooth, rich bourbon to me with a creamy and smokey undertone, like the remains of cigar smoke on clothing. I think mixing those scents with the body chemistry of an older guy would really fit.
The EDT is more citrusy and clean cut, which is great but doesn’t come off as very mature or rugged as Sauvage is described. It also doesn’t last as long (At least on my skin).
Acqua Di Gio Profumo is my favorite of the list and I’m my opinion, the best cologne in history. I’m a younger guy (19), but enjoy more mature smelling fragrances. The DNA is a little overused now, but like 5 years ago? That thing hit the fragrance community like a truck. No one has been able to fully replicate that DNA and most people who aren’t familiar with fragrance won’t be able to immediately recognize the DNA, just that you smell good.

    I'm 37 and these are my top 10 (separated by season);
    *FALL WINTER*
    Creed Royal Oud
    Roja Dove Creation E
    Dolce & Gabbana The One
    YSL Tuxedo
    *SPRING & SUMMER*
    Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
Tom Ford Neroli Portifino (or Mugler Cologne)
    YSL L'Homme
Le Labo Rose 31 (older batches if you can find them)
    *YEAR ROUND*
    Creed Aventus
Dior Sauvage or Bleu De Chanel
*These frags aren't perfect (performance and batch issues, some are high priced) but they are the 10 best I have ever smelled. I don't think you can go wrong with these.*
*They're interesting, sexy, aren't overly mature or youthful and like I said they smell amazing. Give these a shot. You won't regret it.*

..OK THE OLD GUY IS BACK ! I received the new cologne I just purchased . What you said about "MONT BLANC LEGEND SPIRIT" is true ! I walked into a party and within 3 minutes a young girl turned to me and asked what I was wearing She LOVED it ! She called some of her friends over and litterally said, "Smell him, he smells wonderful " ! I have never had that quick of a reaction to a cologne. Remember, this girl was around 25 or 26 and I'm 73 ! SOLD ON "MONT BLANC LEGEND SPIRIT" ! I'll let you know what happens when I use the other cologne I purchased ," DIOR SAVAGE" . Wish me luck !

You spoke about a few of my favorites and a few I will have to try out. I also like Kenneth Cole's ManKind, Givenchy's Gentleman Givenchy, Now here is two I like that most would not even think of - Mary Kay for Men - Domain and High Intensity; one of the tones for High Intensity is Coffee Bean. Also Ed Hardy's Villain - it's a cheap one depending on where you purchase it, however do like it.

I just turned 57...been wearing cologne since the 10th grade. I was a junior in high school when Polo green came out in 1978. Wasn't a whole lot out there in the 70's except for Old Spice,English Leather and British Sterling. It is amazing how many are out there now! I own some of the same ones you are talking about! Have you tried Oud-based scents? When I was younger, I liked the citrus, fresh aquatic scents. Now, I'm leaning more towards the woody, floral mix. May I suggest you try Ermenegildo Zegna's line, specifically, Indonesian Oud, Haitian Vetiver, or Peruvian Ambrette. New subscriber here. Doing a marathon of your vids. :)

Oh , now I saw you also added the photo. Before I was only listening without actually watching the video. The photo you added is of the 2015 eau de parfum. Now if they did not specify on their website I guess you can't be sure but from your description it seems to be the edp. Both are very close.

great video full of good choices . I got into fragrances by accident at work .. I just used to wear underarm spray deoderants etc , until I overheard a female co worker saying who sexy Dior Sauvage was on men ... Hmmmm I of course wanted to be one of Those men and secretly purchased a bottle .. Much later and after much looking through all the fragrance videos I made my favorite purchase of D& G The One odp .. omg those tobacco smells took me back to the early 1970’s when all my school teachers smoked a pipe in class ... Then I found Aqua di Gio Profumo and must say this is perhaps the only one that truly gets compliaments . My last purchase and one I love as an office choice is Prada L’Homme .. just sweet and fresh without showing off . Thanks for this video

First let me say that I really love your channel and I appreciate someone being out there for guys over 40. Regarding Scentbird though, I tired them on your recommendation and have had nothing but issues. My first order from almost a month ago has not arrived and there is zero customer service. I checked out their reviews on BBB and they rate an F with more than 400 reviews. I know that this has nothing to do with you, but you might want to rethink recommending them. Again, love your channel and look forward to your future videos.

I'm 51 now and a bit of a fraghead! I avoid sweet and simple fresh scents, and the most popular scents worn by that 20-30 year olds like the Versaces and Paco Rabanne 1 Million. An error like wearing slogan T-shirts, skinny ripped jeans, or sports jerseys. There's so much choice to smell both great and reflect maturity. The Prada is good for daytime and Profumo's best suited for the evening. The rest of the John Varvatos range are well worth seeking out.
