    Engineers like making clips a puzzle - must be fun for them. "Wait till they try to undo this one!" Good video Uncle Mark - thanks for sharing - glad I know how those boxes come out now. Nice repair 👍😊

      If I had one apart before, I may have remembered how to remove it. Hopefully someone else can learn from my struggle. Swapping out this original TIPM for a used replacement fixed my issue. I am glad my diagnosis was right.

      Thanks from this DIYer. I don’t know lots but I am dumb enough to try almost anything…once.

    Mine had the same thing with the door locks. Then the fuel pump relay was after that..2012 Grand Caravan here.

      Fuel pump is the usual issue with the TIPM. Hope you were able to repair it with not too much costs.

      I actually ran with the bypass for a while. The new/used tipm then started showing the symptoms. Got the upgraded bypass and no problems for a few years..

      @@pac1971 I looked into getting the relays and replacing them myself. May as well do all of them on the circuit board. If I remember right, the set of relays was about $100 CAD. I am not good at soldering, so I didn’t try. I still have the old TIPM. Maybe I will do a video on trying to replace them.

    I just did this as well as my headlights did not function properly. It was not that difficult you had to take your time and be careful taking it apart, as you said. Did you use a cleaner or dielectric grease as part of the process. I think the location next to the battery make it prone to corrosion.

      I did not. Contacts looks fine, but it probably is a great idea to be proactive.

    We have a 2002 Ford ranger was traveling down 75 coming to Michigan overdriving came on my car wouldn't go it wouldn't let mode replace the air flow sensor o 2! Replace the speed change the oil change the transmission filter and put a new filter and it's still in limp mode do you know if it could be a relay or something simple

    How did you fiqure out that it was a relay that was the problem as I have a sliding door that will not lock

    • @unclemarksdiyauto
      @unclemarksdiyauto  6 месяцев назад +1

      I Traced power wires using a wiring diagram. Relay was where power originated from. This relay does BOTH drivers front AND rear sliding door. If one was still working, this would not have been the issue. (Another relay runs the other side unlock.) Let me what you find. If it is just your rear sliding door, it is very possible that it is the wires in the plastic chain that holds and moves all the wires as the door moves open and closed. You don’t want to start firing “the parts cannon” at your problem without proof whatever will fix the problem, Jimmy.

      I thought acutator broke I look at some vidéos very complicated fix also to get it done very very expensive so at least its not stuck locked so thats a break

      @@jimmyhorton8066 It could be the actuator. Yes, they are very hard to replace on the sliding door.
