Ok Wes. I work at a greenhouse and floral shop. We also do lawn care and snow removal. I’ve seen some people talk about consulting. Is there a way I could consult for my boss and get some cash off the top of that? He’s done contracts before but he actually did the on-site physical work. Lawn care for the border patrol is what he did. We no longer have the staff or the contract. Anyway. I currently live in a health care facility operated by the state but I’m moving out soon and I’m looking serious into this line of work. I was going to say business as it legally is but by watching the videos it seems like those people don’t feel like it is. The stress the pressure ect normally associated with running a business. Long story short, you can become a middleman right now. When it comes to becoming a consultant, that’s possible as well but you need to actually know how to win contracts first before you become a consultant.

Can you share what’s the responsibility after the contracts are won? Like what is it you do to ensure the work is done and what to do to get paid?
It's your responsibility to make sure the contract is fulfilled. We go into management mode after the contract is secured.

Question: I am bidding on a service based contract. Base year plus 4.
Subcontractor gave me a price of $650k per year, so 3.3 mil for 5 years. What should my profit be? I was originally thinking about adding $120-150k on top.
But now thinking about adding somewhere between 50-100k per year as my profit.
What would be your suggestion for me to be competitive? The contract is with VA.
Whatever you want to make … don’t get hung up on profit. Bid bid bid
Double or triple the price and submit the bid.
