Something so comforting about this scene. Group of super flawed misfits finally catch a break and can look forward to a somewhat optimistic future. Also the song is great

@@amo903 from what I've been able to gather, the Ayer cut of the first Suicide Squad was better by a large margin. This might be conjecture, but it was also said that Leto's Joker was good as well. The former I could definitely see being the case, but the latter is what I won't hold my breath about.
I really loved this movie. Happy ending for everyone who made it. Dubuois overcame his fear of rats, Nanaue and Rat-catcher became a "family", Harley learned a lot about choosing the right partner and became more serious...
Good work James Gunn, the Suicide Squad is redeemed.
And lets not forget about Dubious finally having a good relationship with his daughter
Still mad that Rick Flag, Polkadot Man, and Captain Boomerang didn’t make it. Besides that, this is a great movie, better than other superhero movies coming out today.👌

Every time I see, think, or hear about this movie I just remember that. Every single time I just feel sadness for Starro. Minding his own business in space, taken by humans only to be tortured on and one having their way with him. His first interaction with humans was all that shit they did to him, so it's understandable he was pissed when he got out and he had no idea there was any good humans. In the end, he lost his life. It's more sad thats actually how dark and horrible life really can be.
He was abused by the worst of humanity and had to be taken down when he lashed out against everyone else. Its a depressing and all too common story.
Idris Elba would’ve been perfect as John Stuart. He’s good as Bloodsport too.

I loved how this version of Suicide Squad was basically everything that the edgy hot topic version was lacking, comedy, gore and not being edgy an dark but a much more fun light hearted whacky comic book story the ending with Blood Sport finally stroking the rat almost got me
I also love seeing How they treated Harley Quinn in this film, the worst part was her being the "LOL SO RANDOM" type whils't being gaslit by joker and here she's just a fun badass who doesn't stray into the Mary Sue girl power trope

I will say one thing unpopular, but I think a sequel is not necessary.
In the first place, this film told everything that could be said with The Suicide Squad: betrayals, government corruption, black ops mission with superhuman elements, camaraderie and rebellion.
Secondly, these four protagonists received a perfect conclusion: they have finally become heroes free from Waller's manipulation.
The only one who still has something to say is Peacemaker and for this I can't wait to see his TV series.
I like the idea some people have of every Suicide Squad movie being directed by a different director so that every Suicide Squad movie has a different style, story, and characters.
Also I think if James Gunn did return for a squeal he would probably be smart enough to go for a new cast of characters, which would be my biggest concern for a squeal.
@@BeauHorkins That might be a good idea, but I honestly don't think there is much more to be said with the Suicide Squad after this movie: we have literally seen everything that can be exploited with this concept (government junk, shocking deaths, rebellion of the team members, an uneven battle with a decidedly superior being, internal confrontations, betrayals) that any new movie would sound like a repeat.
i think maybe the suicide squad and the whole task force is fucked after that peacemaker finale
@@alexdean9287 In fact, I would say that with the ending Gunn wanted to communicate just that: a story about the suicide squad is no longer necessary, the characters will be developed in other ways.

The 3rd Movie could see Waller sending a new team or the Suicide Squad trying to find the drive that the other members are using to Blackmail Waller or something like that
That would be an interesting continuation plot. I would also like to see a new suicide squad based on the new 52 team including deadshot, black manta, blackspider, king shark, and killer frost.
James Gunn has mentioned that he has an idea for a sequel and that it’s more than just a new team on a new mission, so this very well could be it.
My cousin actually is working on a TSS sequel fanfic and the premise is exactly that.
Waller pinned a new Squad vs this one. Problem is my cousin missed out on Peacemaker and doesn't put it in account.

*Bloodsport was basically the reluctant Father to the whole team. And he was absolutely tired of All of it. But still, he was there for the team.*
The look on Blood sport’s face when Sebastian is on his leg is priceless. Great acting. I not afraid of rats per se but his face makes me nervous for him.

I dont care what anyone says this fucking movie is probably my all time favorite other than endgame and its mainly because how the characters were so perfect. And the running joke about milton and bloodsports fear of rats coming to the end was so funny and touching it really hit home. And you gotta admit that scene with ratcatcher and her dad on that tower was beautiful and emotiinal. Amazing movie

Yeah, blackmailing with a photo of the creature being tortured by the ones who captured it. I can’t say I blame the creature cause all it want is to be left alone in space and we humans with our curious minds just took that away from it.

I used to hang with david every day. After his music incident i told him id always still be his friend. I love that man and will always call him a friend. I know hes hiding in the cuts right now- but wherever he is I’ll respond to his text/messages whenever he calls. Im proud of my friends for this.

That scene where the helicopter takes off Corto Maltese feels so fulfilling and wholesome. Weird that a movie with psychotic killers could be so heartfelt and characters could very unexpectedly die in a heartbreaking way. I hope at least something of what was built here remains in the new DCU.
90% of the cast got taken off the census. And the 10% left rides off into the sunset to fight another day after a badass win. Thats suicide squad right there.

Harley Quinn's smile in the end is beautifully wholesome, a proud woman who lost friends and gained new friends along the way, who learned to get back on her feet and learned to be something more than just the Joker's sidekick.
Where was the part that one chick was arrested for knocking out Waller? I saw it in the "previously" thing for Peacemaker but don't remember seeing it.

Starro going Godzilla on that island was a huge mistake because it would have had the audience asking why Wonder Woman ,Superman and Flash and them didnt arrive to save the island from Starro's rampage. They should have kept him confined to his prison cell and have him using his psychic spores to control the army personnel so he can escape. Kinda couldve had Deep Blue Sea vibe with Starro desperate to escape and the Suicide Squad fighting through Starro's mind controlled goons and trying to stop him from escaping. Only when he is dying can he escape and utter his "I was happy floating amongst the stars line before his corpse breaks the walls down and he s revealed for all to see .
I think originally they were going to have Superman just fly through strarro and show his a red and blue blur but hey scrapped it, also at one point Gunn was considering just straight up killing everyone in suicide squad via bombs in there neck.

I’m away from my cat and I watched this bc Sebastian reacts exactly how my cat does when he feels like being pet.
So in the end the drive isn't publicized. So why the heck give Peacemaker a hard time if in the end they do what Peacemaker didn't want Rick Flag to do, publicize the drive contents? 🤔
Rick flag isn’t a prisoner he literally wants to release the drive to expose corruption, think of flag like captain America, but bloodsport is still technically a criminal and sees this as an opportunity to blackmail waller to be free.
Possibly because he was still a bit necessary to Waller but it’s mostly about control at the end of it all
They are convicts, he saw a chance for their freedom and he took it.
It’s because Peacemaker killed Flag who had the respect of the entire team and also attempted to kill Ratcatcher until Bloodsport fortuitously dropped onto the scene. He was also willing to help Waller cover the whole thing up which the surviving team members were eventually told about although Waller better watch her back when it comes to Harley Quinn. Harley doesn’t like it when people like Waller get her friends killed in the dirtiest manner possible especially when something as twisted as to what’s on the hard drive should’ve been released anyway. Pretty much says a lot about Harley at this point.
Now imagine if Batman were to find out.
Bit late to the party, but they used the drive as collateral. Bloodsport and the gang would have likely publicized the drive but they decided to go against Waller's orders and fight Starro. Waller would have killed the four of them when she woke up but Bloodsport used the drive as insurance, saying hey if you detonate any of the bombs in our head, the drive goes public.
Imagine what this guy is going to do in Superman 😭
