They could've made Himawari the main character, boruto could;e ben secondary like Sarada. But people were obviously afraid to make a manga/show with a female lead even though himawari was very naruto-like to make it work.

Honestly, I watch boruto and will continue to do so. I enjoy it as a continuation of naruto's world. But one thing for sure they NERFED old characters and also made getting special and strong powers a piece of cake .. that ain't fun
She's should be the main character but I'm fine with that!!! I'm glad at least that Kishimoto decided to put a bigger development on her and she's my favourite character of the series!!!
@vsoist I think you gotta look at it like this (or at least I do), Boruto (p1) set the bar quite low for the general masses and its evident that the shows main pull is using older characters and stuff, ppl just not interested in new stuff for whatever reason. This is kinda like another instance where they brought some of the old shit back to give life to the new story/cast

This story only matters to those who either are new to manga/anime or have absolutely no idea what a good manga/anime is. Both series of Naruto did a better job with story and character development and it was still cringe at times. Boruto is just trying to replace naruto and did a horrible job! To make boruto more relevant they got rid of Naruto, Sasuke and Kurama which tanked the series more than before. FYI, if the real fans watched boruto, it was only for Naruto and Sasuke. The show is still so bad that they had to bring Kurama back with Naruto and Sasuke to follow to hopefully bring back the OG audience after they realized catering to the newer didnt get them far. Finally, aint nobody upset over "a strong female protagonist". Thats how you know those saying it arent actual manga/anime fans. Considering manga/anime has a boat load of female protagonists.
