    Fantastic song & performance, & great observation from you with how far he often has the microphone away, most reactors miss it. And before he throws the microphone stand away, he throws it in the air & catches it, & later flips it up off the floor with his foot... pretty cool

    John's interaction with his audience is standard with his concerts. It is not forced - it is natural and his audience love him for it. Between songs he chats with them, tells jokes and 100% involves them in the performance. He has been doing this for virtually his whole career and everyone knows that when they go to a John Farnham concert they are going to a big party where everyone has a ball. 💖💞💕

    A number of John's songs have messages for the greater good in the world. Yes, he is known as, 'The Voice'. The power in his voice is a product of his strong neck, one vocal coach commented. He is the consummate, charismatic showman. His rapport with his audiences is wonderful. John is the GOAT. John has recovered from his medical health issues.

    Glad to see you picked up on his mic technique. His voice is so powerful that he sometimes looks like he needs longer arms to hold it far enough away. If you've never seen a symphony orchestra live, take my word for it - they can generate a huge sound. Plus all those drums and guitars. Even with the mic damped down enough not to squeal from the backing sounds, he still sings with it that far away. And then to maintain perfect diction and stay on pitch without the benefit of autotune or other modern recording tech.
    He is just mind boggling.

    Oh our John and our anthem You're the Voice performed by the voice. Love your thumbnail pic. Its one of my favourites of him - we love him - that's for sure. The sound techs used to have to set the mic level at around 8 instead of 10. When he last performed at 71, his voice, key and power was still the same. Did you see him throw the mic stand up about 30 feet in the air and catch it before he threw it about 3:40. His stage presence and his energy on stage did not change in his whole 53 years of performing. His voice, power and range didnt change either. Thank you for another great reaction. ❤😂🎉

    I love that you've discovered our Farnsey, and that you are beginning to love and appreciate how amazing and unique he is. You have 5 decades of John's songs to react to. He always gives an outstanding performance. He's sung covers of other people's songs, and when he does, he makes them his own by putting his own unique spin on it. His covers are as good if not better than the originals. A great example of this that I'd love you to react to is ACDC's 'IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP (IF YOU WANNA ROCK AND ROLL) live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Your mind will be blown once again.

    No matter what John's song you react to, make sure you go for the live performance. I mean, he's great in the studio, but even better live. This guy must be an alien, he doesn't even know what a bad note is 😃 he's always pitch and tone perfect, his diction is on point, you can understand very clearly every word he sings, which is so rare. "When something is wrong with my baby" with Jimmy Barnes is epic. Or Angels with his long-time background singer Lisa Edwards, or Burn for you... just to name a few

    Love your reaction to this anthemic giant of a song. Its message is as relevant today as it was when he recorded it 40 years ago if not more so. And it never fails to get the blood pumping and get everyone on their feet.
    Lots of Aussies got excited a few weeks ago when it appeared as the soundtrack to a campaign ad from a Super-PAC supporting Kamala. Dunno if it was approved. I doubt if John would appreciate a bunch of MAGA nutjobs coming after him and his family with their AR-15s.

    T-NUELZ - HERE IS THE CUT AND PASTE ON MICHAEL HUTCHENCE (INXS):
    INXS is In Excess. They started as school friends in the pianist's garage and travelled Australia working in the hard pub scenes of regional and outback Australia before being known on the international scene. Michael Hutchence is the lead singer and sadly died from auto-erotica having been found in Sydney's Carlton Ritz hotel hung on the inside of the room door's knob (like Robin Williams). His funeral was so big it is on youtube. It happened when he was 37 in 1997. He was one month older than me. He had an affair with Paula Yates, and she was the ex-wife of Sir Bob Geldof of FEED THE WORLD fame. They had a little girl called Tiger Lily (now a woman). There is quite a bit of INXS and Michael on youtube. In America in the late 80's and into the 90's they were on many shows like MTV, Rosie O'Donnell, Saturday Night Live, Hard Rock LA, but the big concert was the Wembley Stadium in London in 1991. Their last international concert was in Colorado in July 1997 and that is on here too. Michael was regarded as a Rock God and some say the best front man ever!! They had a reputation back then as being the best live rock band in the world.

    I think he has a 13 octave range. Someone said that once. What is good about John is his ability to transverse between different genres of music from rock, gospel, opera, country, you name it. He can do it all and a lot of performers are good in one or two categories only, like they practice and perform certain certain types of music only. Many country singers are just that, for instance. Many rap artists can't sing a note and that is why they rap. That is what I am saying - he has the ability to diversify on a large scale.

    • @janita444
      @janita444 15 дней назад +1

      Well John is a brilliant singer, but no one in the world has 13 octave range. From the pop / rock genre there are 2 singers with 5 octave range, Mariah Carey and Axl Rose (I personally don't like the tone of his voice, but the range is/was there). John must be somewhere around 3 octaves. What makes him so special, he can sing any genre... country, balads, pop, hard rock, opera, like anything... give him a song and he kills it. No matter if it's a Led Zeppelin song or Old McDonald had a farm (he actually sang both 😅), he'll be outstanding. He controlls his voice perfectly, i think he doesn't even know what a bad note is 😂😂

    • @dee-smart
      @dee-smart 15 дней назад

      @@janita444 He is one of my fave singers but growing up in the 60's I never really took a great interest in him until youtube and I am in my mid 60s now. However I was a great fan of the voice of the late Michael Hutchence from INXS and his style of singing. Growing up I was into David Cassidy in a big way and Elton John's voice and musical talent, and Cliff Richard and ABBA. But yes, going back on John's work now and he has this boyishness to his voice and mannerisms and I think that is something that appeals to the masses, along with his impressive octave range. I don't know Michael's octave range but he definitely had a great singing voice and reminded me of David's sensual sexy voice too.

      @@dee-smart oh, Michael 😍😍 he left too soon 💔 another brilliant australian voice. Actually him and John are in the top 3 of my all-time fav male vocalists, and I'm from Europe and in my 4os 😂 that says a lot... Michael, for me, was hand down the sexiest voice in the business ever, and still is. I just googeld, his range is even little wider than John's. He could hit pretty high notes, but he could sing really low, too. Also, his charisma and stage presence are unmatched. Both John and Michael were just awesome live. The third one would be Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode 🤩
