yes it will, it overwrites default files. To be safe, find your NBA 2K12 directory and copy/paste it to duplicate the game, then install the FIBA mod to one of the two directories, and manually choose which game exe you want to play
that's like the #1 rule we don't allow at NLSC, even if its a "hidden" overwrite like this is. If you can't get it off your disc, or dont want to redownload the game through steam or wherever, there are a bunch of custom title page patches you can get in the NLSC Download Database (NBA 2K12 Misc section)
Oh I forgot to also say the two files that worked in the save folder were Unix Executable Files. The other files you guys provided to in order to do the overwrite showed up as simple docs on my Mac. The documents that I deleted in order to do the overwrite were also Unix Executable Files like the two you moved in the last step. Idk maybe that is the reason the game stopped working after replacing them.

make sure you install and run the game first. Also make sure you create a save to find. If you still cant find it, you can run a file search for the save name. Also, make sure you are on an administrator account that can view those folders

choppy gameplay shouldnt be caused by the roster, you might want to try running the game without internet (seriously) because sometimes when the game is trying to download its data from online it can affect the game like that.
my understanding is that the game doesn't even run on a Mac, so if the game doesn't work why do you think the modification would? IF the game works on Mac, again, I don't know, then you need to locate these folders and just put the files in like the video.

Hi, I had installed the UBR v20 and everything worked perfectly, but now when I try v24, the rookies have no heads and black arms. I'm pretty sure nothing is in the wrong place because I followed the same instructions each time. Do you know why this could be the case?

My Player isn't supported in this mod. You can download my modification of this mod though, called the UBR No Retro roster, which will support My Player and other modes

the mod shouldn't conflict with the base game, existing rosters/gamemodes, or other mods that do not overwrite original files, but the easiest way to uninstall is the reinstall the game.

if you are doing the two folders thing, then it should be as simple as running one exe or the other. But this is why I dont support mods that overwrite so many default files when it is unneeded, as seen with the UBR mod or any mod I create

Wattup JaoSming. I have windows 8 for my computer. I've downloaded and extracted parts 1-10 and put them where they're supposed to be. For some reason when I load the game the rosters and retro teams don't show up when I click on load/settings. Is there something I'm missing. Is there a unlockallsettings file for UBR v30?
Hey I spoke to you earlier about Mac. I got the roster on to my 2K but Im having problems with the white and black heads and arms. I got it to work by only doing the last step you did in the video. I moved over the Unlock All folder and the UltimateBaseRosterV22 folders to the save folder. The problem is that I can't get the game to start whenever I do the first step of overwriting all the other files. Is this a necessary step that is causing the black and white limbs when I skip it?
Just make sure you have all the png#### iff files in your main NBA 2K12 folder. If you do, then the roster should automatically recognize them and work properly.
not planning on it, you basically run exe files and it overwrites your NBA 2K12 to the FIBA game. I don't like to support mods that needlessly overwrite original files.
the 14, 29, and 52 game season schedules were deleted to make room for all the extra players and teams, so no. You need to play 82 games and sim a bunch.
i had the same problem and solved it: You need to go to the 2k12 Menu/options/save&load/load/UltimateBaseRosterv25 then u r gonna get the new rosters ;)
I installed V61 and when I opened the game there wasn't one roster it was all different rosters when I tried to load one so like all the rosters were singles like ABA 71-72 then another roster ABA 73-74 and it's all separate. any help?
make sure the game is installed, and that you've run it and saved something like a roster. if it still doesnt show up, check to see if there are multiple users on the computer, it might be under a different user's appdata. finally, if all else fails, save a roster with the name "fdnajk" or something weird and do a full computer file search for that file. Then you will be able to track down the folder. If none of that works, then I won't be able to help you.

UBR does not affect games in progress, unless they overwrite default files. But it will not work unless you run the game on medium/high settings

yea, if you load the roster it should work fine. I don't see how or why it wouldn't work.
How many files should be in the main 2k folder ? I have 4318 and there is a lot of no faces with white arms.
you need to make sure you copied all the IFF files into the main 2K12 folder. Also, make sure you play on medium or high settings
it might be a winrar issue that I dont know about. You could try extracting with 7-Zip
make sure you ahve the official patch installed, and the black arm fix from the UBR thread

just have two controllers? I believe if you are trying to do wireless, only 1 controller can be synced at a time.

unplug the cable :) or, you can disable your network device in hardware manager, which gets a bit more complicated if you dont know what you are doing
nope, you should just be able to right click the exe "send to desktop" and then run the game from the copied folder if you want

there should be a UltimateBaseRosterV26 roster to load. If not, check your part 4 file again and make sure that roster gets put in your saves folder

you'll have to do those kinds of edits in REDitor, or release enough players down to the game's desired 15 player limit

yep, that would prevent you from adding to that folder, I would talk to whoever you need to talk to get admin rights on that computer
