Hey Stephen I m from Tunisia I m starting dental school this month in Russia. You have no idea how much your videos motivated me to make this choice. I watched pretty much every video from d1 to d4 today. Watching you grow up and living the journey with you is amazing. Your positivity and comforting words and advices were super helpful. Thanks dude from the bottom of my heart
This is such an awesome comment thank you so much for your kind words and continued support! I do these videos for fun but it is so good to know there are people like you who benefit from them in a variety of ways. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!
Thanks for the comment and for watching as always! Usually I do around 4 miles for my typical runs. Sometimes I’ll get up to 6 or 8 and sometimes I’ll keep it short at 2. Just depends! As for pace it’s usually around 8 - 8:30
@@stephenraydentist 4 miles holy crap! I mostly just lifted at the gym. A few years ago I did keto and went to the gym 3 or 4 days a week man I got big quick. if you ever need to know what supplements I was using let me know. after your D4 year man we will have to link up.
Had such a great time watching this after coming off a long week at clinics, thanks for sharing the trip! Actually been getting more into running myself, what distance and times do you usually shoot for on your runs?
Hi, I am a third year college student currently taking a semester off to study for the DAT. I was wondering what age are most D1/first years at dental school. I know any age is worth it to get into a profession you know will love and feel successful in, but knowing I will be a similar age to other applicants/students will definitely boost my confidence in being able to succeed. I have messed up a year of grades at Berkeley due to family and mental difficulties but am taking this semester off to get my study habits back and re-review ochem and physics. I hope to grind for the DAT and take it within a year to hopefully compensate a lower gpa, but while making sure to keep solid in my grades coming back to university (hope that my previous year of failure will not be drastic to the point of revoking my application if I can bring my grades up). I will be 21 this August and assuming i will go back to university next semester I will take 1.5-2 years to finish my bachelors in biology. Regardless of a response, Thank you for putting these videos out, really motivating to me to shoot for the moon and that I can accomplish this if I put the work in. much love, -Ashank
Thank you for the question and this one hits home!! I remember being worried that I would be older than everyone in my class because I took an extra year to finish up undergrad and I was SHOCKED when I got to school! Obviously there are a lot of people in my class that are younger than me by a year or two but there are also a ton of people that are much older than me! We have some people in their late 30s! Age truly isn’t a factor anymore for us when we’re all together. Some of my good friends are over 30 and I literally never think about that
Great video Stephen! Keep doing what you’re doing and never give up!
Thank you my friend!! I need to edit part 2 of this vlog series!

I love this side of your dental school life but if you don't mind me asking, what undergraduate course did you study before applying for dental school
