    what was great about garry shandling was how he intermingled anecdotal humor into his worked-out routines, paula poundstone is good at it, right in the middle of his routine he could go into the crowd and do hilarious improvised humor, without missing a beat, and segue right back into his material he's doing the same thing here with conan, "would you be interested in going to couples therapy?"

      AngryRantsAndStuff Just because Conan has a deep connection with him, doesn't means that everybody should know who he is. It's a fallacy. I've only known of his existence of this man, the day when he was announced that he is someone dear and indebted with conan and that he pass away. It's the same thing as, Mr. A is a comedian that's successful in other community that you've never heard of, so you don't know of him. Because you have never pay attention to that comedian community. And when Mr. B presented that his indebted friend Mr. A dies. You now heard of him and thinks that he's someone important because you personally like Mr.B and he's an intelligent individuals within your very own P.O.V of Mr.B. Thus. having you sympathizes with Mr.B, that makes you think that he's actual someone worth remembering. And that, everyone should've heard of him whom he was stranger to you and me.*He's really not that famous, that's why i haven't heard of him*

    • @SquareNoggin
      @SquareNoggin 8 лет назад +5

      +Chris R. You gotta watch "The Larry Sanders Show". IMO that's where you see his best work. It was way ahead of it's time. It's one of those sitcom-type shows where the camera follows people around (precursor to shows like the Office) and he's a late night host. Really great stuff as you get to see a comedic look at the "behind the scenes" of a show like Conan. You get what I mean? Anyways it's one of those shows that I think inspired a lot of comedians and comedy writers but never hit the mainstream as much as other sitcoms did. I would compare it to something like "Curb Your Enthusiasm" - smart, treats the audiences like they're smart, and also very real and biting. It's a show that every person who works in comedy is a fan of, but it kind of flew under the radar for everybody else (or at least it did for people in my generation). Great stuff man.

    • @Cloud.210
      @Cloud.210 8 лет назад +4

    at 2:57 you can see how conan asserts eye contact and garry shies away, putting up his childhood defenses. then at 3:15 conan decides to turn it into schtick which saves garry from existential embarrassment.

      Leander Timoshenko why even engage in a reasoned argument with someone who honestly believes a wall that would be more costly to maintain let alone build should be built to keep dirty immigrants from the sanctified pristine metropolis of the USA?

    • @MichaelKerr71
      @MichaelKerr71 8 лет назад

      +Jack Stamp I don't think Gary's point about the fence is what you think it is......

    • @cesiba1
      @cesiba1 8 лет назад +1

      +Leander Timoshenko You make a case all you want to point to different things. If YOU do a little research you would see that white males have that statistic locked down. They also lead on many other crimes. Why don't you build a wall around them? Should we build a wall around all the white male officers withal their senseless shootings of unarmed black men that has been going around lately. How about some of the massive killing sprees they went on in recent times. You could point to anything really.
