Maye is at least on a top-10 team. We can see evidence as casual fans. He also doesn't have the most talented team in the world either. Levis dropped out of the 1st round like he was supposed to, but the hype helped get Jordan Love, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, and Josh Rosen drafted. I'm not sure that their play at their schools matched the hype they received in the draft process.

There are very few Elways and Lucks that everyone says they are going to be a superstar and they actually are at Qb. A lot depends on what team you end up on.
Caleb has 85 touchdowns and 10 ints in 2 and 1/2 seasons in college. He protects the ball way more than Sam Darnold did. Darnold had 13 ints and 10 fumbles alone his last year of college. He kept those same issues when he was with the jets and panthers. Was constantly reckless with the ball. Caleb doesn’t have those same issues. Caleb has a better arm, is more accurate, and a better athlete as well.
Did Caleb lead USC to the CFP this year? No. But Caleb also had a defense that couldn’t stop water, and his O-Line deteriorated throughout the season. Lincoln refused to use the run game like he should have, especially with Austin Jones and MarShawn Lloyd on the roster, and yet Caleb played his ass off anyways. He had a couple hiccup games (ND and UCLA) but the man played his ass off. Go back and watch that Arizona tape. He singlehandedly brought them back. I am so sick of the Drake Maye talk. He played in arguably the weakest P5 conference (either them or B12), finished with the same record as Caleb playing in the best conference with no defense, and all the sudden everyone loves Drake Maye more?
