Ordered my alpha yesterday with your Code. I am so excited coming from a Fanatec V2.5 to this one. This is The Best looking Wheel out there and doesn‘t have a screen wich i really Like.
The first review I have seen, where you strip the Alpha completely naked 😅 it looks beautiful inside and on the outside 🤓 I absolutely enjoyed the spacer accident 🤣 And the flex at the shifters 🤣 I will need to inspect the wheel with a microphone 😜 especially to test the shifter noise 😊 I like how you took your time to slowly inspect the wheel and talk about each intricate component and compare it to other wheels. I concur with Dan (excellent review as well) the wheel has a good build quality, but I will be the first to say the customer support experience needs considerable improvement.

I was between the Alpha and the GXL V2... I got the GXL V2 although I live in EU and it definitely overcame my expectations. I wish you did GSI reviews Dan, there are still no reviews for the GSI GXL V2, it really is a remarkable wheel.
Yeah I noticed that as well ... Plenty on the FPE V2 but none on the GXL V2. Granted it's basically a FPE V2 with no screen but still would be nice to see.
I was between the GXL v2 and Alpha, went with the Alpha just for something different and it looks like i won't regret it. Ive had the GXL v1 since they came out and it's been an amazing wheel. I was just about to purchase the v2 when I saw the Alpha and sat on it for about a week to make a decision. It didn't help no reviews were out for either wheel, but since I've already had the v1 I figured I'd try something new. Can't wait to get it this week and try it out.
Great review, I've had mine about a month, my only issue with the wheel is i wish they made an upgrade for the center sticker made out of something like aluminium or plexi, anything that's a bit hardier than a sticker, i know it's a matter of time untill it's scuffed or damaged.
Only thing I wish someone would show in the review is the TC/ABS encoders being used without beam tec. Everyone shows how it imports the settings from the car, but no one shows like how the wheel will look/work with LMU, rF2, AC, etc. My understanding is that it won't show the setting thats configured with the car and it only works like an increase/decrease encoder.

Neither the GXL V2, nor the Alpha does it for me. The GXL V2 came in with annoyingly rough edges at the grip seams, sent it back. The Alpha center sticker is a no-go, too. We're talking about 1000+ € wheels without display. Serioulsy, am I expecting too much at this price range?
I can see how this wheel would turn some people off. For me i actually like the design and shape of it. That being said, if i was going to buy a wheel with a screen I'd go with the GSI Hyper, I really like the look of that wheel too. I lioe the look of pretty much every GSI wheel though lol.

yeah, mine already shows signs of wear but oh well ... it's a tool, i have no issue if it looks used :D

It's amazing how a small company like Bavarian SimTec can do miles better software than a much bigger company like Cube Controls.

Their designs seem to be polorazing .I'm on a Gpro so not in the market for one of these atm but looks good to me .

Never noticed any rough edges on the gxl and I drive without gloves. Maybe a dud got through QC there …

Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder then I guess, I love this wheel and their Omega Pro V2 is stunning too!
