Love the video and even more your passion and excitement around both sim racing and real life racing. I was able to meet you at Road America for the IMSA weekend and the time you took to talk about the gloves and also just techniques in the sim, despite the struggles of the weekend, was so kind and amazing. Thank you for that. As an aspiring racer I try to ask as many questions and learn as much as I can before getting in the car and it also continues to show the fan forward mission of IMSA.

We only make it to the Road America race regularly since it's our home track but I have plans to make it to more races in the future. Either as a fan or as crew/racer.
Love how you have your FOV setup. It's always nice to hear how someone that's been in the same car sets up the fov. I have tripe 32's which loos close to what you may have. P.s. I'd love to see more short gloves. Been holding back because of this.

This setup is really convenient, gave me some ideas of how I can change things up for more usability. I use similar keybinds with the buttons I have available. My top paddles do flasher and a modifier key so I can expand the functionality of my wheel without having a button box. I use the funkyswitch on my wheel to interact with the black-box. Rotate to change screens, directional to navigate, press to select.
That’s awesome. I need to think of a better way to utilize my top paddles because I feel like the windshield wipers can be something I can move to the button box.
Slightly off topic, but have you updated your Simucube Pro profiles since that video quite a long time ago? I value that you have direct experience with GT4 and GT3 both real world and iracing, and shifted to AMG in iRacing largely because your setup is based on your feedback loop (and I feel I can get better rotation than in some other makes). It would be awesome if you kept an updated version of your wheel profiles on your website. Cheers!
I've watch many many of your videos, subscribed today. I would love to see some actual iracing sessions. I practice lots. I go thru laps etc seeing where to improve, which areas I need work. I would like to see a video of a session showing how you practice and some laps. Cheers
Great insight, thank you - this has been a topic on my mind lately too. Forever experimenting. I've found the funky switch super handy for Lovely Dashboard's panel-switching functions in the primary page - left cycles the left panel, right cycles the right, up changes between the few different gear readouts (sometimes I like to switch the delta off to properly lock in, or change to the clock to get depressed at how late I'm staying up racing) and down toggles the fuel panel. Press and twist can be other controls, for example I have twist to set the overall brightness of my DDU. Definitely thinking about a PSP as the next rig addition, I've made a note to use your code 💪🏻
That’s awesome. I definitely like to turn the Delta off as well when I am in qualifying. I like to just push to the absolute limit and not get any anxiety from a plus or minus bar. There’s a few things I definitely like to change, but for now, I really enjoy how it’s all set up
Great video, I learned things. A funny thing, but might help others: In my GT-neo I find that I tend to accidentally push the top right button when going full lock (think Long Beach hairpin). So I can´t put anything dangerous there, like pit limiter. I have mapped it to visor tear-off, still perfectly useful, never hurts even if accidental :)

Your DDU screen would work great with the Lovely Dashboard companion dash (which is a large interactive track map). You could also use the DNR companion LED profile on the same device to display things like fuel level on the LED strip above it, rather then it being a second RPM bar :)
I need to set that up on the side DD-X for sure. That’s something that has been missing for me. Would love to help create a custom dash that is simplified for Lovely but it doesn’t seem like it’s possible at the moment. I find that it’s a great dash but it just has too much info and the text is too small. Needs to have super important details available that you can quickly take a glance at.
10:38 there are actually macros for each tire individually too,once that helped me to get a podium in GT3 at Barcelona,since I changed front tires only and didn’t had to bother that much with warmup thus my out lap was faster than my competitor.
Are you using RAM Mounts for the Button Box and Streamdeck? Your rig looks about as complete as it gets but we also know they are never really done. Would be cool to hear about any upgrades/changes you're looking at.

Can you do a review of Gran Turismo 7, please? It has a new physics upgrade and it would be interesting to see your opinion as to how it compares to top sims like iRacing, rFactor2, Rennsport and Assetto Corza Competizione. I think such a video could get a lot of views considering the popularity of GT7, its VR capability as well as the recent Hollywood movie (Gran Turismo) that promotes it as a training sim for future real-life racers.
You could probably open up the buttonbox, remove the buttons and rotate them 90 degrees. Not sure how the insides look, but doubt the button only goes on one way
Those button box stickers can come off because it comes with multiple sheets. It’s just a matter of me, taking the sticker off and turning at 90° and repositioning them all with new stickers that correspond with the button function. I’m still figuring out what to do with all of them, but I’m more or less have a good idea now.
Understanding the proper technique is key but in terms of gear, a good chassis is the first step. Always chassis. Then you build up around it. I made a video on the upgrade path.

Thanks so much for the good wishes. We do not have any tools to shift the weight. All of that is done through the set up with the mechanics and engineer before the car goes on track.
I actually took a shifting bracket and double-sided taped the XLR to it 🤣. Jerry rigged the heck out of it. If you want close up pics, I’ll send them over
I mostly run LMP3, GT4 and LMP2. When I tried to have some fun in hosted races, I enjoy the Riley Daytona prototype. It’s an older car, but it drives really nice and it’s fun.

Several years using your wheel but you still have the protective plastic on the display screen. Are you just one of those guys who never removes that sh*t
It depends what game you are playing, but you should be able to assign a bunch of buttons and use the same button for multiple functions depending on if you use it in the menu or in the car

I'm playing AC,ACC,F1... honestly if you know/find a way I'd be well interested as it's the reason I upgraded from g29... It's the two big knobs/little red toggles/bottom paddles... currently everything is acceleration and brake, I have about 4 ways to drive...

You can program all the buttons to a Logitech wheel. All of these little tricks will also work on it.

Some of these tricks can help free up some button space. The tow button is a really handy trick.

When I was in Xbox I just bought a standard keyboard and a set of SIM racing stickers to stick on the keys.
