From the North stand the Duran goal was incredible, never rated Ross Barkley but have to admit he was very good when he came on. Oh well back to getting up at 3 in the morning to watch the Villa. Really enjoyed that cheers to everyone there.
By the way, I thought Ross Barkley coming on was an inspired substitution. The way he and Tielemans exchanged short intricate passes between them, and then utilised Torres before getting out to Ramey/Digne/Matteson was essential to us breaking the low block.

My idea of the best at Villa Park?...... doesn't sound much, but one winter night match when we were in the old third division v Shrewsbury Town. Villa given a direct free kick - in the box - in front of the Holte End. Shrewsbury get every player back for the wall....... Bruce Rioch steps up with one of his specials.... within a second or two.... in the back on the net!!!! Think about it...... 11 players between the sticks, but Rioch still hits the back on the net!..... Memories eh?....
The best screamer I ever saw was Matthew Lowton against Stoke. Not at Villa Park, but a beauty none the less. You are exceeding expectations Max. You really capture the flavour and enjoyment of the Holt End to those that are not there.❤
When Ollie scored the first, always felt we'd turn it round. Barkley was excellent. But that goal wow! You can see the disbelief on all your faces. Great stuff
