Sometimes the most successful people end up feeling the emptiest at the "top"... Having reached their goals and then having nothing else to fight for or keep them moving forward. It happens so often.

This song is so beautiful and so full of emotion as it made me cry thruout. Rm is such a poet and his lyrics are truly beautiful and poetic and manages to bring out all the emotion inside os me, not only this but the MV is also very beautiful aswell. Also I love just how raw RM is with these lyrics and showing his true self to everyone. This is why I love this man to pieces. After watching wild flower I can't help but cry it's so passionate yet raw at the same time and just so beautiful. I was completely speechless
I loved the song, i cried, i couldn’t help some tears. All the songs in Índigo are so personal, he let us inside his sould and mind, the music is beautiful you can just enjoy it for what it is, but it would not be a Namjoon songs without those beautiful, sad, introspective lyrics. I cried for a while when i finished Indigo. I just hope he can find his happiness in music again, BTS and RM has given us Army so much, there is none like them💜

He could step away from the spotlight forever and still never be able to have a normal life at this point. They sacrificed their youth and privacy for success. I will forever be grateful for their work and work ethic…they gave (and continue to give) us everything. I hope they know that despite their frustration at times, they have changed the world for the better in so many ways.
i think he said at festa dinner that if there was a multiverse, this reality he lives is the best imaginable for him, so i don't think he wishes all this didn't happen and he wasn't famous, so i hope the lyrics in this song don't refer to how he feels overall :( for example, in the song he twice said "all those times" so i think he's just sharing why things have gotten overwhelming/out of touch for him? i blame the kpop world/culture mostly, people in the public eye have extra pressures and can't maintain relationships, so how are BTS supposed to move as normal beings when they aren't even allowed to have a relationship openly in the world :( the line about Society loves the loudest voices (individuality and expression) and then they have to dot so many extra i's and cross so many extra t's and cant even be a 30 year old being able to date openly, and he apparently wrote in another song on the album about a relationship heartbreak, how would he feel knowing the relationship didn't work out bc of all this crazy inability to be a human being in the dating realm :( how do they feel when their other artist peers of the music world who aren't nearly as successful, who DON"T get snubbed for Grammy's, get to talk so much more freely and openly about their opinions and lives :( artists are SUPPOSED to do this yet in many facets BTS cannot :(

They face even more pressures than most other successful artists….they were thrown in to being representatives for their whole country when they blew up and encouraged into roles such as ambassadors and diplomats. They have said in many ways (YTC and other lyrics, Pharrell interview)…” we just loved/wanted to make music”. Of course they wouldn’t turn down opportunities to do good in the world, because they are good people, but wow that’s a lot at such a young age. I have never understood the unnatural perception that idols shouldn’t be allowed public romantic relationships…it’s just weird. I want nothing more for them now than to be able to live full, enriching lives.

Yes to everything you said, I'll add that the pressures we don't see that come from the industry itself are also a heavy burden to bear. Like you, I was apart of the industry for over 10 years (music & acting) and of course never reached his level of fame but even for me the pressures that came, some from my peers, some were self applied and some industry applied & it messed with my head many times. I have friends & family who are celebrities/former celebrities and the stories shared are mind blowing. I am so grateful that he has his artistry as an outlet and seems to have solid people around him(and of course having his brothers right beside him who are experiencing the same thing), but you can still feel very isolated, and alone which is why we have seen many who go down a dark road & some who never return. All that said "Indigo" is a vulnerable beautiful body of work and I am glad he shared it with us!
i watched another reaction when someone was treating it like a dance track and laughing and cheering without paying attention to the lyrics. joon is so artistic and his lyrics are always so deep that this type of video doesn’t deserve that type of reaction. i sincerely appreciate the breakdown of his lyrics and the type of reaction this was.

I’m glad that RM’s solo project is getting more interest and support from ARMY . As a male fan in my mid 20s, its nice to see other men enjoy certain types of music. These guys really have me reflect about life, work , relationships and success witht their music and I respect them for that. I also thought RM wouldnt get as much traction, but im glad he proved me wrong. This album is at the top 2 for me this year, right up there with Kendricks Big Steppers
All three solos released so far have been phenomenal, and wild flower is no exception. Indigo itself is a masterpiece, and Namjoon truly is a gem in the music industry and an amazing artist 💜💜💜 and it’s always nice to see male fans

I've felt the disconnect ... you know, the feeling of feeling alone in a room full of people who you should feel comfortable with? regarding my Q: if anyone can help me understand please reply! i just heard a reactor comment how the field, with all the purple flowers/petals blowing in the wind/sky around him, goes to the frame where he's surrounded by the purple lights around his stage. this made me realize i think the main thing he may be suffering from is evident from the line: society loves the loudest voices and he still speaks silence. in another song on the album he apparently shared about a heartbreak, and how are you supposed to feel like a normal adult if you are in an industry where you can't even share that you actually date. how does BTS feel when they're at the top of their field/industry, yet they show up at the Grammy's where artists around them aren't as successful yet they are able to speak more openly, freely about their lives and opinions, the essence of art, expressing yourself. kpop expects people to dot so many i's and cross so many t's and never admit you date which is so ridiculous. and maybe this contributes to why his relationship didn't work out and anyone with a heart would suffer from this

For me wild flower is that heart wrenching song where RM pour his confession into a song. Also, RM specifically said he want youjee powerful voice to signify the intensity of his feeling. i just heard a reactor comment how the field, with all the purple flowers/petals blowing in the wind/sky around him, goes to the frame where he's surrounded by the purple lights around his stage. this made me realize i think the main thing he may be suffering from is evident from the line: society loves the loudest voices and he still speaks silence. in another song on the album he apparently shared about a heartbreak, and how are you supposed to feel like a normal adult if you are in an industry where you can't even share that you actually date. how does BTS feel when they're at the top of their field/industry, yet they show up at the Grammy's where artists around them aren't as successful yet they are able to speak more openly, freely about their lives and opinions, the essence of art, expressing yourself. kpop expects people to dot so many i's and cross so many t's and never admit you date which is so ridiculous. and maybe this contributes to why his relationship didn't work out and anyone with a heart would suffer from this

Enjoyed watching the vid with you and completely agree with your take on it. I was literally bawling almost from the beginning when he began expressing the conflicting emotions he has. When I watched the Festa dinner I felt this break was more for RM . The whole group needs it to find themselves but I felt RM needed more and to go back to being Kim Nam-Joon then he can come back to being RM with a renewed energy . I think he saying he lost his identity people only think of him as RM , he had to only think of RM and BTS but that not the only part of him he is Kim Nam-Joon as well, he can be both people. That's what I got from it. I could be way off though. Its a beautiful and powerful song. So proud of him.

Namjoon said that Wild Flower is so precious to him and that is why it is the album title track. Listening to it and watching his interviews make me realised how much more struggles he have been facing - been a center of the storm, navigating success with so many people readily welcome your fall and at the same time trying your hardest to be true to yourself. For me wild flower is that heart wrenching song where RM pour his confession into a song. Also, RM specifically said he want youjee powerful voice to signify the intensity of his feeling. I am glad that at the end he decided to be a wildflower, that continue to bloom freely for a long time. Let’s stream indigo and show him we are here with him. 💙
