This is hands-down one of the nicest tiny homes I’ve ever seen. Now that I’m an empty Nester I keep pushing my husband to do this because I don’t wanna live in a big home anymore. I want to enjoy life . Having the biggest and nicest home in the neighborhood doesn’t mean anything anymore. This younger generation of kids are getting it right. More and more of them are financially stable before they’re 30 years old and you never saw that in my generation. I’d also like to note I love to see people in love. You can see how much he adores and loves his wife. Every time the camera is on them you can just see him looking straight at her face. So beautiful. I would love to see them buy their own piece of land and move that tiny home to that land so they’re not giving money away to somebody else and they’re still investing in their own future. Because if they have that land then maybe they can build a home one day if they decide and still keep the tiny home on it as a guest house or Airbnb etc. All in all, beautiful couple. One of my favorite episodes for sure.
What a nice comment! Thank you for the nice note and all of the ideas. Living tiny certainly opens up a lot of options. It took me a little bit to get Leo interested in the idea of tiny homes, but they found their interest in it in their own time and got on board. We have plenty of people here who have downsized after children have moved out. If you haven't yet it could be a fun idea to try a tiny home vacation! Sometimes it helps to imagine yourself in the space. I know that helped us before we made the decision.

@@michelebliss5431 You can do it! Planning a big change and a move can be a lot (we felt that too). You're taking the right steps, learning what you like and planning until you feel ready. It was similar amount of time for me before I decided to move forward with the physical build of the home. I tried to take small steps I could control while we waited for the right timing. I'm really glad you enjoyed our home and that it helped you with ideas for your own. I watched plenty of videos to try and decide what I liked/ or didn't like also!

The bathroom was masterfully designed- the shower area was like a full other room and the toilet are being closed off for extra privacy was genius. Whole house I felt was beautifully made! I grew up in Bushwick in the 90s so seeing a railroad apartment like the one I grew up in took me back! Watching these videos helps me open up my mind of what you can actually do in a space and not have to pay crazy housing prices!

This is the first tiny home I have seen that I could move right into and not change a thing. I love that they considered the safety of their pets in many of their choices. Beautiful home! Go Bills!

@@oldytacct8095 I didn't see a vacuum. Maybe when you build your own tiny home you can get the size TV that you want. This seems to work for them and I think it is absolutely brilliant

I've been looking at "tiny" houses for decades now, and this is the first one ever been able to ACTUALLY visualize realistic living. The design is right on-- So, so much thought and detail put into this build. I love it.

And all that steam from the shower goes up to the 2nd floor/loft! I would put a ceiling on the shower, still high, and add another window and allow room for that expanding family (if they make it that far as a couple).

This is probably the first time I have seen a couple where their tiny house was a step up from their previous apartment. I watch these videos with no intention of going tiny, but to get remodeling and design ideas for my 78 year old 864 sq. ft. prairie ranch house. Best wishes for this lovely couple!

Okay. This house is perfection. I love tiny himes but there always seems to be aspects that are deal breakers for me, and this couple addressed all of them. They found a unique solution for their bathroom and privacy. They can fully stand up in their bedroom AND easily walk all around their bed for easy bedmaking. I cannot abide a bed tucked in the corner. They can sit comfortably in the office because of the bump-out. The home is beautifully designed and open. And they have a ton of outdoor space and options for spending time apart when they need to. This is one of the best designed homes I've seen.
This couple is a great team!! They ought to go into business doing this for others!! Between her research and space concept and his color intelligence and functionality design, they will rock!!

I am gobsmacked by the clever design of this house. It is so spacious, yet, is incredibly well-appointed. I've never seen a tiny-house that is so well-planned as this one. Kudos to the owners...seriously, this house is so luxurious - loved the upper deck, but even the bottom deck was spectacular too. And that lounge...oh my, how did you fit such a beautiful lounge in a tiny house? You've actually thought of everything...the moving tv...brilliant. I'm book-marking this house. It's just so amazing, I'll want to come back and watch the video again.

As someone who's lived in a 16x20 foot cabin for 9 years and raised 3 kids here I can say that tiny house is very well thought out. It's actually a bigger square footage than my home! Nice job and you really haven't sacrificed any comforts. Love all the natural light!

Out of all the tiny homes I've seen, this is by far the one that feels the most like a full-size house to me. From the layout to the features, this home is gorgeous, well thought out for daily living and comfortable. Great home.
Oh my goodness, this home is incredible! One of my all-time favorites, even after 15 years (yes) of following the tiny house movement. It's so, so livable and well-thought-out. My favorite details are: the track for the tv; the spice shelf; the toilet closet!; and the office area.

Freaking roof deck! I’m gonna add that to my future tiny house. Actually best tiny house i’ve seen, so it’s technically a 3 bedroom house as the office can be converted to a bedroom, the dog room is a baby/toddler bedroom and the couch could be a pullout bed making it four, I don’t know if you can fit another single bed in the office if you could and its converted it would be 5 beds all up.
There’s also the option if you have a large family but also need a playroom, space to work or you have teenagers you could always get another tiny house or a big spare room and connect it to the deck.
This is such an excellent example of a couple planning together well. They lived together in a rented space and planned for their tiny house by noticing where conflict arose, day to day. Then, instead of expecting each other to cave, they just accepted they had different needs and found a way to meet those needs in the design plans for their new space. Congrats!
As a current New Yorker I smiled at their comment about not having to downsize. When watching these tiny house vids I often think about how a significant percentage of NY apartments aren't much bigger. We ouhhh and ahhh about these efficient and creative uses of space in these tiny houses (and rightly so) but that's what it's been about in NY from way back.

As a fellow NYer, the city was designed to be outside of one’s homes. Reason why it’s called the city that never sleeps as well as a sense of community no matter we’re you reside in NYC. That may have changed as gentrification occurs to accommodate those that have not embraced New York’s true identity and culture.
I am a New yorker and I was thinking how this is bigger than many NYC apartments.

OMG! I know this one! I have this tiny house saved from the builder as probably by far one of my MOST favorite tiny homes! Its great to see the railings installed up on the roof deck and seeing the whole place all set up! SOOOO EXCITED! The BEST shower! LOVE the coffee bar... These two adorable kids did an awesome job on the design on it!

Cute and nicely designed functional house! I really like the fact you can stand up in the bedroom. Also having shower and toilet separate with tall ceiling was really great and makes the space feel much larger.
My draw back in most tiny houses was the loft sleeping. A real bedroom is a must.
My husband and I dream of tiny house living. Your home proves that it IS possible to be comfortable and not lose the comforts of home.
Wow! This home is so well laid out, the shower and loo with the high windows are definitely the best I’ve seen and gave me ideas for the reno on my actual big home. Really love the upper outside space, leg space at the desk, baby loft.. the attention to detail is incredible. And the aesthetic is just gorgeous.

The one thing I don't like about most tiny homes is the lack of standing height in loft areas. This house doesn't have that problem and I love the modern aesthetic.

So, I've been obsessed with tiny house living for years and have watched TONNES of videos on various channels, in anticipation for hopefully one day designing, building and living in one of my own....I only say all of this to qualify my next comment...this is literally THE most beautiful, functional, clever, bright, homey (etc. etc.) tiny homes I have ever seen. This entire home is so well thought out. I love the mountains on the front of the home, the TV set up and all of those plants. That chair set up in the office is genius. So many great things to say about this home.

This house is perfect - it has the feel of New York inside. The finishes and colour options are dreamy - and the outside spaces are luxurious. The wood throughout and flooring is awesome too.
When she said she was a researcher she wasn't kidding! They didn't miss a single detail. This is inspiring. I've never been so in awe of a tiny home, I love them all but this is just perfect. This home is the best one I have ever seen!! They made many small areas for specific reasons, it’s so well thought out. The wood indoors was gorgeous and I loved the white, blue and black colours used. Having all that outside useful space adds so much more for living. I have watched hundreds if tiny home videos and this one is, by far, the best one I have seen. The layout makes the house feel much larger than it is and I was bliwn away by how luxurious the bathroom looks with the natural light. AND just love the way these two look at each other. I am in love with this home. They did a fantastic job designing it and I love seeing homes that are slightly larger to incorporate things like regular sized stairs (versus climbing into lifts from ladders), standing room in the bedrooms and full-size appliances. It seems like a great way to make tiny houses easier to live in for the long term.
I honestly couldn't find anything I would change in this tiny house - which is quite rare for me! You both did a fantastic job! A+!
I have watched 100s of tiny house videos, and this is by far the nicest tiny house I've seen (LOVE your shower). You did a great job. Personally, I live in a small mobile home and have 600 sq. ft. of living space, and I own two acres of land. Buying the home, the land, getting a sewer, electricity and water to the land, the overall cost for setting up my home cost me around $45,000.

The best tiny home ever seen. So many unique features and different levels that feel more like a regular home, including a rooftop deck and several outdoor areas to enjoy. Really well thought out and aesthetically designed with great tech appliances as well. This couple really did their homework and created a dream tiny home!
This is the Best Tiny House Tour I have seen starting with the space outside that they added, all the features they have inside, the TV on a track is brilliant, where she sits to work and can put her feet comfortably. The aesthetic is beautiful, just Loved it.
This is the first tiny home I've seen that actually makes me want a tiny home from a financial and aesthetic aspect.
Love it! That last-minute cabinet for the spices you added... looks so elegant. But my favorite part was how the floor dropped down at your office desk so your legs weren't cramped. That's ingenious! You two did a great job thinking out your wants and needs and it shows!
What an amazing tiny home!!! The layout is so well planned out. I love how you can stand up and not crawl on all 4's in your bedroom. The only thing I find the home lacking, for me personally, is more cupboard space for clothing...

This is one of the most beautifully appointed and well thought out tinies I’ve seen. I love the roof deck. Fair play to Shannon and Leo for what they’ve accomplished.
I've watched a lot of these kinds of videos, but I've never been as surprised as I was when that tv track system moved. that's a brilliant move, not something most would think to use in a home, but totally jives with my modular a/v production brain.
What a gorgeous house. The colors, the design, the materials... great storage. And those lofts! I love this size tiny home, it's still very small but you almost can't tell with the open design they built into it and the porch extension. So well thought out and done.

This is, by far, the most functional tiny home I have seen. Spectacular layout and perfect location--my favorite.
Beautiful home. I could 100% live in this space. The first level deck looks so great. And this is the first roof top deck I've seen that I think I'd actually use. Wonderfully done. Way to go in addressing your financial future. Such a great couple.

So much room in this tiny home and I love that you can stand up straight in the bedroom! Lots of thought went into this to make life easier. This house would not be a compromise at all to move into!
One of the best homes I’ve seen yet. Functional and well thought out. Was quite impressed that you can stand in the bedroom. Loved the adaptation so you can sit normally in your office space. While other homes are lovely to look at, yours is that and more. I can see myself living there. Great job!
This is an example of a luxury tiny. I always wondered how a bathroom could be done differently to integrate the stairs to the loft and now I saw a great example!! And how the heck could they get a sleeping loft that they can stand in?? Amazing! The TV that swivel!!! And to top it off the roof patio! I would use the roof patio to dust off solar panels. However in a cold climate the windows up close to the ceiling would leak the heat.

I felt like this tiny house went on for forever but in a good way. Definitely one of the layouts I've ever seen. Love the storage and small details that make a huge difference.
I really loved all the well thought out living spaces, storage , and warm color scheme inside and out. The wide folding front door allowing that connection to the outdoors was my favorite 👍🏻 I worked in a restaurant that opened out to the patio in this manner , and it made the whole interior so extremely nice.

Of all the hundreds that I have only found one so far that I rated a ten. It was the one with the large pet yard enclosed with top for cats. It had a tunnel that went into the staircase. That was my favorite til now. This one is my favorite. I could add a cat escape.

I have a youtube file which is for my tiny house favourites and not many go into it but this just became my new favourite! It is beautiful, it is light and airy, I love the decor, the bathroom, office, bedroom, in fact everything. You keep talking about your tiny house and yet this doesn't feel tiny. I love the outdoor space too and having two dogs it works perfectly and an extra loft for them too. You even have a massive fridge freezer!! Love it x

Incredibly well-thought out tiny home. It's bigger than what I would imagine our home might be, but there are so many ideas that we could incorporate into ANY home. We own our land, so the only monthly payments would be mortgage , taxes and electric/internet. Of course, if anything goes wrong with the well or septic, it's our responsibliity, but seeing a $600/month service fee makes me appreciate our situation even more. Thanks for all the ideas!

This home is absolutely gorgeous, from the exterior to the well thought out interior. I loved everything about it, from the brilliant kitchen concepts to the bathroom with its high windows to the home office with ingenious desk set up to the "separate" bedroom and the rooftop gathering area. Very well done!
