@@majoroldladyakamom6948 Colloquial terms in a tiny house can take on new meanings.. It's so big for Tiny House standards that we joke it's a "walk in" (because you literally WALK into it). Truly it's an open concept, single door, standard closet with a linen closet to the side and laundry machine that makes it feel like the whole space is dedicated to clothes 😂. Which is funny because I'm no fashionista.
It's not really a "bedroom" either 🤷♀️ but is to me 😁.

screw the system is right. Not only do full size holmes waste everything from food to utilities, it makes you totally dependent on mainstream economics and sooner or later the government. This kind of living also avoids being chained to the system in taxes and all kinds of costs related to government spending and waste.
I love the way she did the bedroom! Putting the bed on the other side and then being able to actually stand up (upstairs!) while she’s getting dressed is just genius.
Not to be biased, but I’m seeing so many women plan/design these homes so brilliantly!
This is the best use of space I've seen. I think it also helps that she is a visual person, often correlated with thinking creatively. Amazing...

@@rosabw As an artist with way too many painting and drawing supplies, her ideas for storage were brilliantly executed, it really appeals to me. And it sparked a few ideas of my own for paper and canvas storage. I don’t have a tiny house but I have a small apt that has good storage for ordinary items but large watercolor sheets of paper for example are a dilemma. Thanks.

Best innovative design EVER. Bathroom mirror, stair drawers/bathroom drawer, ladder storage, big sink-just love this home! Washer by the clothes epic awesome. She should draw up designs for people. She could be the tiny home planner contractor.

Then communities of like minded people would find each other through your web site. Look in that mirror every morning and remind yourself you are very powerful because you use your imagination, have high integrity, use critical thinking skills and only you can bring this all out to the public in the your perfect way. Now, what the hell is my passion???? I can see it in others but lost mine somewhere-but I am looking and I will find it!

I've watched a LOT of tiny home tours and this is the the most innovative, well thought out one, with the most creative use of space I've EVER seen! I'm SOOO impressed! I swear, I could just call your builder and tell him "I want what she's got" and be a very happy customer!!! GREAT job!

This is the most gorgeous, well-designed tiny home I’ve seen! The whole design of the bedroom/closet is genius, and the builder is a master craftsman.
This is the first time I’ve heard anyone suggest that living tiny is detrimental to society. And I’ve watched A LOT of tiny living and alternative living videos. Whomever suggested that has got things twisted, IMO. This home was beautifully designed and so very well thought out. And I can’t thing of a better parking spot 💜
I’m guessing it was the amount of “red tape” against tiny homes in the Bay Area, not people in the tiny home community.
she’s paying rent and utilities and I’d imagine taxes - plus she has employed the builders and purchased everything that has gone into her home - whoever has made her feel badly for her choices has warped understanding of what living tiny is or what living is generally - in fact for the past 44 yrs I’ve lived tiny except I am the mobile part not my home - from a decade of student life to moving across 🇨🇦 and back east when I was working - to my incredible ninth floor north studio apt with the most incredible view which has now been home for 25 yrs - I live fully as part of community as it seems this young woman does but we live with less and take up less space - how is this bad - I wish her (and her four legged housemate) all the best - less is more 🇨🇦🙏
That’s crazy that anyone would think tiny house dwellers are try to skirt the system. It’s just a different way to live. I guess it goes back to the old saying that “people are critical of things they don’t understand”

One of the best tiny houses I've seen. And I've seen a lot! Everything is so well thought out and it all makes sense. No waste of any space and it still feels spacious.
I don't know how people can accuse tiny house owners of not contributing to society though. They work, they pay rent for the land to park on, they provide work for builders, they leave a small eco footprint. I don't see anything but positives here.

My favorite things: hidden loft ladder, fold down table with storage, bed placement over bathroom, stand up closet area & washer/dryer location, mountain design with cedar boards. Brilliant design, space layout & build.

@@sweetiepolochick I see Tiny Home living as getting back to basics and the joy of living with less clutter. What some may not understand is that when folks don’t have to pay 50% or more of their income in housing, they can then SPEND more in the community by dining out, using services (like laundry, dry cleaning, window services) and recreation that may have been cost prohibitive before. So many folks in Tiny homes have pets and really that’s a whole business that is getting a boost by people being able to afford to have a pet, pet supplies, vets. It creates more jobs in communities that allow Tiny Homes, as well in cities that allow Tiny Homes, that’s more water, garbage, sewer fees and, taxes that can be collected. When people OWN something, they are more apt to take care of it also, as well as they are cute.
I fell in love with her INSTANTLY!!! She wasn't pretentious or ostentatious. She is beautiful, sweet, and best of all, she sincerely adores her dog! She seems like someone that anyone could talk and laugh with for hours!!! On top of everything else, she's extremely patient and intelligent!! Wow. Just wow.😲😲 Hopefully, everything continues to fall in place for her and she remains happy!! ❤❤
I love the design of this tiny home. She did a great job designing her space. Her little dog is just adorable too. Beautiful location. She was so lucky to find a nice landowner and hookup for her home. ❤🧡💛

This lady is fantastic. What a beautiful design, by a beautiful lady. Her and Mitch should work together to design homes. What did this model cost? She doesn't need to make excuses. The system is broken, but she is amazing.

I feel bad for her. She feels like she has to explain herself and what she has chosen. This type of choice is what our ancestors did when they first came to America. I love the choice that she made. I hope to do the same.
I've been living in a tiny house for 2 and a half years now, and I've never heard a single person ever say I'm "skirting the system"! I feel so bad that that is the response she has had, because everyone who finds out I live in one think it's the coolest think they've ever heard of!
Young, old, married, single, the only people who aren't so keen are the mums with multiple teenagers hahahaha

Wow. I watch a lot of Tiny Home type programs, and have been awestruck by a lot of designs. This tiny home is one of the most well thought out and useful designs I've seen. I don't comment very often at all but had to on this. Absolutely impressed with this home. Also, I don't see a need for her to apologize or feel guilty about living the way she does. The fact that she is reducing her impact on the environment is a huge contribution. If more people thought like this woman, the environment and overall attitude of people would make the world a better place. Her heart is most definitely in the right place!
Her couch is from Home Reserve! I have bought chairs and a couch from them and ALL of them have storage underneath. Very easy to put together, and if any part of it becomes damaged you can order just that part and save the furniture from the landfill. That includes cushions and the fabric covering. Cool to see her using it.
That is a great feature, that you can buy just the part you need. You don't have to toss the whole thing and buy a new one.

Out of all the tiny homes I've seen, this one right here is the very best. Talk about ingenuity, putting the washer up over the gooseneck blew me away. And the couch is perfect....none of those thin foam covered, short leg spaced "couches". Awesome :👏
Holy cow this woman is brilliant! I've watched hundreds of these videos & found a lot of cool ideas, buy her level of thought & creativity is unparalleled!
THE perfect tiny house, in my opinion. I absolutely adore it. No one should feel she is "skirting the system". She works, pays taxes, and I imagine she contributes to the local economy. Good for her!

You've got one the great tiny houses design ever. The ladder, bathroom especially the mirror and your sleeping area. That was a very smart closet and also able to stand up in your bedroom unlike many who have to stoop down. U have a great and understanding designer because he also lived in a tiny house. Very good utilization of space. One good design to follow. Thumbs up and happy living

I think I liked everything about this nice wee home. I enjoy your decision to use glass door upper cupboards. The dust issue of open shelves gets to me, so this gives the idea of open but cuts out the dust issue, love it. Also the clever mirror/medicine cabinet compromise in bathroom is a thumbs up for me. Your unique bedroom with ALL its features is so clever and easy living. As I said, I love it all !!!
beautiful home, and so much storage. i lost my home in the downturn in 2005, and i had to move in with some one. i found a 550 sq ft fixer upper that was almost 100 years old for 1500 dollars. that was 12 years ago, and i am still working on it, and i have never lived in a house so small, but i am very happy. sometimes there is no happiness in a 2000+ home, and it becomes a financial headache. be blessed

My goodness, one of the most well thought out space in the history of tiny living. The way she uses space is practical, aesthetic and surprising. I don't think there is a single inch of wasted space in there. Everything is placed where it should be for the greatest convenience of the dweller. Finally, the exterior design of the home, must be the best I have seen. Im blown away!

Totally agree! I have thought about living tiny for 7 years. But for me, realistically, was never sure I could carry through with it. I could see myself in this, and I don’t think I would feel cheated out of space I might have in a larger home. I only see one thing I personally would do differently and that is to have a full size frig, even at the expense of giving up some kitchen space. But honestly, I wouldn’t change one other thing about this home! How comfortable and cozy it is. I’ve watched dozens and dozens of videos and read countless articles. And this wins hands down as my favorite! Outstanding!

This is the best tiny house I have ever seen. Not only is it attractive inside and out, but it is also extremely practical and efficient. If I ever need something intricate designing then I will certainly go knocking on this young ladies door as the layout of this house is pure genius.

Years watching tiny home tours and this is definitely in my top three. It's a pleasure watching Nicole's tour and her lateral thinking approach to ideas and how she uses her space. Her philosophy is also very straightforward. My design approach is similar and it's great to see an example of how ideas can be executed. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

I just saw this... I absolutely love the tiny house community.. I think it's the way to go to get out from under the pressure of high debt, stress, etc. I have seen hundreds of tiny houses and actually keep my favorites in a separate folder, but I Must say as far as Luxury I have seen some really cosmetically beautiful tiny homes but I honestlly do not think I have ever seen one that can compare to the perfect planning, the layout, the convenience, so well thought out as THIS Tiny Home!!!
I will say this is MY MOST FAVORITE TINY HOUSE!!! HATS OFF TO THE DESIGNER AND THE BUILDER TO MAKE THIS ALL HAPPEN!! I am all about convenience, not so much of how beautiful it is : pretty & neat, yes, but mostly about convenience!! THIS TINY HOUSE SHOULD BE EVERY WOMAN'S DREAM that wants privacy, easily maintained !!

I started research on Tiny Homes in 2013. This is brilliantly “best used space” -I have ever seen on any Tiny Home !
This is the most thoughtful and organized design I have ever seen. Very well done. It's obvious that the lines of communication were wide open between the builder and homeowner.
What an incredibly well thought out design with attention to every detail and use of the space. I always think the thing that is missing from most tiny houses is a living room that is comfortable and actually livable (not just a built-in box with a cushion on it), but she achieved that and still has all the storage she needs. Plus I never like a lofted bed that you have to crawl into, and she achieved a bed you can stand up and sit on like a normal bed. Kudos to Nicole and her builder Mitch!
Also: why the heck have 211 naysayers downvoted this video? This home is genius, y'all. Nicole is living sustainably and responsibly in gorgeous, self-designed digs atop a piece of land for which she pays rental fees that help the ranch owner. What's not to like?

Lilith Grace You're one of "those" people who are always looking first for the negative so you can point it out and take everyone's focus off the positive. UGH. There's always one of you!
People can be very jealous of a woman like this with design capabilities, self confidence and clearly her own person. Tip my hat. Pay no attention to the deadbeats who lack the guts to create their own design and make their dreams come true.
Combining a loft with the gooseneck to create a large functional.bedroom is one of the most ingenious ideas I've encountered in tiny house design.
Nicole is a splendid young lady who seems very mature for her age and well spoken. I love what she has created for herself and her little dog. If I was to ever live tiny I would want her and Mitch to be my team mates! My advice to her is this, it is no one's business how she chooses to live and the nay sayers are probably just envious that they didn't do what she has done and are now deep in debt!
Don’t worry about skirting the system the system is broken it was never designed for we the people it was designed for those who had money and those who had greed.
The whole idea is not to make more of an income but to change your lifestyle and you’ve done that and it works for you because like you said you’re only one person how much space do you actually need why have a revolving debt where you’re working so hard simply to pay for your basic needs? You and I both know that’s not necessary and that’s what this whole movement is about so don’t worry about being an asset because you are simply by doing what feels right to you it inspires other people and we need more people just like you

Fantastic Build! She has so much more space than would be in one room, where she has only lived before, that she actually has extra space that isn't filled despite all the bathroom, kitchen, laundry room space that most houses have. In fact, a partner wouldn't add much other than clothes and hobby items.

This home was one of the better-designed tiny houses I've seen. I like the steps to the bedroom and how that is designed getting in and out. It's beautiful inside and out. Smart living, no reason to apologize for any of it.

Your home is beautiful, inside and out, and looks so cozy. I've rearranged my plans for a bolder exterior on the house I'm renovating. Oh my gosh, I was thinking well, I guess I could use the dog's space as a closet but I really like the cupboard above it. Then she slid open the closet door and I actually gasped! The ladder, the bathroom cabinet, the bedroom, the beautiful woodwork on the outside...everything is perfect! Kudos to the owner/designer and her builder/codesigner. Doing research and planning really paid off.

I can’t say that I know for sure that I would live in a tiny home on the long term, but she definitely has given me some great ideas about how to build one anyway, and use it possibly as a rental property. The storage was incredible, as well as the overall layout.

That is one of the best tiny houses l have seen. Its large inside but can be hooked to a truck and moved if required. Your builder has done a great job. May your tiny hose be a very happy time in your journey through life.
Your use of space. Wonderful. Accessing the stairs three sides. Love the bathroom. Love the bedroom. Love everything darling. Love your kitchen desk/ puzzle area. Love your little loft. Love The hideaway ladder. Adore the closet. Every inch is precious. The outside beautiful. Your builder is incredible. Truly his attention to detail as well as yours. What a combination. The mirror/ window bathroom design is very smart, and the landing area in the bedroom is how everyone should design goosenecks. Great layout.
The outside design is the absolute best! So pretty! Thinking I’d do a few things differently but it’s a fantastic layout!
About people accusing you of “skirting the system”, no that’s not what’s happening! Your self supporting in a way that’s not a burden to anyone else! That’s just plain smart! Plus if for some reason you need to move you can and take your home with you! Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for making this lifestyle your reality!

That bedroom design is GENIUS!! I’ve always thought I couldn’t have a ‘loft’ bedroom because I need to be able to stand up! 🤯 Having the laundry right where the clothes get put away! 🤯 The office loft ladder! 🤯 Beautiful AND so very functional!!!
