I just got my first slot snook Saturday in the surf. Twelve mins later I caught a second slot. Both 32”. Released that one and my friend got a 31.5” an hour later. Back home and filleted by 9 am. Insane.
I really enjoyed this video. I showed the variety of inshore fishing that we have in SW Florida, I also have an Old Town Sportsman Autopilot that is over 3 years old (out of Warranty) and last year started having the "Motor not found" error. I would recommend replacing your motors power plug with one of the replacement plugs that Amazon offers.
Don’t forget JC the two fish that you hooked up on the flat that you lost trout had very soft lips. And you were starting to reel those two on the surface of the water and the second one was skipping on the surface so I think the lip just broke..
Don’t forget JC I also heard and haven’t really caught any flounder with circle hooks and everybody says circle hooks are not good for flounder. I have seen people catch them on circle hooks but I think a J hook or an octopus hook is the best way to go if you want to target flounder circle hooks or not gooda jig head with live bait on that is also good or a jig. Head would dead works good.
I was doing the same thing on flounder, the most important thing I discovered was staying on the bottom. Never more than 8 or 10 inches off the bottom.
JC, I love watching you, but I have noticed the side that it was fish on your kayak. You always have a second rod on that side also, which always seems to be in your way when you’re fishing or setting the hook or trying it reel the fish and the rod always hitting that rod, and always in the way you should probably put that rod on the other side of where you fish, so you have more room
The repeating doesn't bother😅 me... it's the burping into the mic ...while I'm watching the show with my wife....that I could do without.. or at least say excuse...me you're not alone
I know you like to use long leaders. I do also but with a normal leader you don't have the knots entering the eyes of the rod. I like the long videos. Shows ititss fishing not catching all the time.

Good idea using freshwater to clean that cut this time of year with all the bacteria, I keep peroxide and new skin paint in my bag

Got my cast net hooked on my remote and pulled me right overboard in front of everybody getting bait. Don't tell anyone though.

It's like the fish know when the hook pops out and they go crazy. Can't blame them for fighting for their life though.
I think it’s a reflex reaction to automatically set the hook once you feel a bite. Hard to let the fish eat first.
