I live in San Diego and last year I visited Hawaii and fell in love with Lilikoi butter. I was stretching the one that I bought there, run out and I was missing the flavour. Now I get to make one for myself and family and excited! Thank you for sharing your video!
I made some and it is onolicious on my home bake barguettes. Next year I will harvest all my passion fruits to make. This for gifts. Your recipe is greatly appreciated 😊
I can't wait to make this after watching you Lenora. I am going to make it for xmas and three jars are enough I live small. Thank you so much. I watched some others do it and you are the best!
Aloha Lenora, So happy to find you on here. I can’t wait to try this recipe. You are a delight to watch and listen to. Being a local girl I was so excited to find you here with many recipes I grew up on.
First time in my life hearing about this but the good thing though, I know that fruit it's known as passion fruit in the Caribbean. I can try this looks fresh and delicious 😋
Aloha, an old Honolulu kamaina here, now living in Vegas. This lilikoi butter looks so good. What craft fair could I find this delight and maybe some good kimchi?
I have a recipe for char SIU and bao ( baked manapua) that comes out so good. Look at my You Tube channel, hawaiispicklelady.com and the website for the recipe.
Sounds good, never made it. In Hawaii I used to buy guava pulp from a church which saved a lot of work. It made good jam. But getting the guavas in Vegas is a little difficult. I can get guava juice but that won't work. I will try the coconut and mango and put it on my to do list.
I like Lilikoi butter very much when I got them 、staying in Hawaii for a while this summer.Would you show me how much grams butter and sugar , lilikoi juice?
No water or added sugar. You have to blend few seconds to break some of the seed packs. Just put in a large strainer and push out the juice with a large spoon. Takes a lot of work and patience.
@@HawaiisPickleLady Thanks for taking the time to respond! The frozen pulp turned out to be seedless, so all I needed to do was defrost and strain. I wasn't sure how much juice I would get, so I bought two packs, which gave me three cups of liliko'i juice. I multiplied the ingredients by 2.4 and ended up with seven (!) 8-oz. jars of lilko'i butter. And it tastes AMAZING. I knew the flavor would be great, but I didn't expect the texture to be so silky smooth. Really decadent and delicious. On a side note, if you have any ideas for what to do with 24 egg whites...
@@XanderDominitz Make angel food cake which only uses whites. My son and grandson mainly discard yolks and eat the whites for their omelettes. Use the whites as a binder when making pork hash. I know that's a lot of whites. Glad the recipe worked out for you. You won't like any other.
Yes you can. But I learned from several jam makers that sterilizing the way I do eliminates the water bath. If some don't seal, put it in a lot of water, covering the caps, bring to a boil then simmer for 20 minutes. This happened for the first time on 2 bottles. It worked perfectly.
It will last several months, as long as no mold. Never use a spoon or knife dipped in something else. I tell you how to can the easy way and it stays on the shelf until you open itl.
I am a person who likes to standardize processes.. can you kindly give exact amounts of the ingredients used…?? …. I am already making passion fruit jam …. This will be a great addition to my product line…. I am a passion fruit producer and one of my passions is to make products with this wonderful fruit. Hi, i have been watching your channel and some of the recipes are mouth watering. Is it possible for you to send me a copy of the PICKLE PASSION COOKBOOK since I am not near Hawaii or Las Vegas? I will gladly pay for it and any shipping! Let me know!
Sorry it's out of print. The book has only pickles that don't need canning. Many of the recipes are on the videos. Eventually all will be there Thanks subscribing.
We're working on having the book available online It will take time because we have to video each recipe and we're only about half way through. We'll, let you know when we're done. Thanks for your interest

Mahalo Aunty, looks ono indeed! You are right about the sugar😬.

You threw me a curve when you said egg yolks, So this is actually a curd! I love lemon curd and orange curd, so I bet this is delicious.
Curd and butter are synonymous. You will love this.
Hi lady Lenora, I just made it. I love the taste very much. Thank you
I've not tasted any as rich as mine.

Yes, one recipe makes 3 jars.
I made your recipe for passion fruit curd and it is delicious! Thank you 💖
My favorite too. Sometimes I just eat a spoonful from the jar.
It's so expensive to buy locally, making it is a gold mine and for the holiday season a great gift. Thanks for sharing

Beautiful! How long it last after sealing?
Like any canned item, probably up to a year.
Hello! My local store only had frozen passion fruit pulp…no juice. Can I just puree the pulp with water, or do I need to add additional sugar?

What kind of cracker did you try with passion fruit butter?
Any kind of cracker works, depending on your taste, soda, Ritz, specialty crackers.
Yummmm. Great video!!! Thank you.
I love this lady!!!
Will you please be my ‘Anake?
if it has egg and butter it should be pressure canned for shelf life. How long to pressure cook so it does not need refrigerated?
Probably about 10 minutes. I've worked with several people who regularly can and some for sale. They taught me the simple way and it works fine.
Hi, may i know whether this can be stored in the pantry as long as its not opened?
About a year.
Thank you!
If i dont have canning jars and im using a different type of glass jar, when do i have to put it in the icebox?
Right away. You probably can freeze some.
Should I let it cool before putting it directly in the icebox?
You can cool it before refrigerating.
