Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
This is one of their usual first songs for reactors, and rightly so--you get a good sense of the band. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. Great first reaction…. You know talent when you hear it. Trust us when we tell you that this is the standard they play at each and every time. Asami is a truly remarkable vocalist. She sings at that intensity for 90% of a two hour show, and can hold notes higher and longer than that one even at the very end of a show. Best band in existence. Period. And please, don’t apologise for either your accent or your command of English. You are multi lingual… that’s a talent in itself! I suspect that your native language is French (I apologise if I’m wrong) but your English is far better than the vast majority of the people watching this’ French I can assure you…🙂

@@viyctoriyareacts first,..so the LoveBites fans don't pummel me for mentioning other bands on LB,s reaction lol ...There is a ton of amazing Japanese all female Rock/Metal bands, I found Babymetal.which isn't all femal but fun.....then LoveBites. as you saw...AMAZING in all ways Lovebites lead me to Band-Maid,....you just have to experience them for yourself. they are one of the 3 . Band-Maid to Nemophila, as I mentioned...ALL of them are crazy good but 3 have stolen my musical Heart....SO FAR. . btw, I am a 57 yrd old Guitarist/Bassist since I was 15 (retired ......currently LOL) who was lucky enough to do quite a few shows, in my time so I feel I know good Hard Rock/Metal music when I hear it. Try Band-Maid 'DOMINATION' Official LIVE video, ...on their web page. Their story is part of the love I have for them. together since 2013, and almost breaking up.....,now They literally have over 100 songs, and I have not NOT liked a single one. Their first early song that got noticed on youtube....2 Million views in 2 weeks is 'THRILL' , which saved them.. its also on their page but, just search YT for Band-Maid, it will come up. its good but Domination will show you what they are...3 tears ago. Dressed as Maid they kick serious butt . They range from ballads to full on metal , they mix genres in a truly unique way. its a trip, and sooo god. then other bands...'Wagakki Band' and 'Maximum the Hormone' The list goes on...but Try Domination first

I don't know if you're going to read this, but I have a small suggestion, if I may be impertinent.
When you do video editing, if you place the frame of the video that you are reacting to in the same direction that you are looking, it is more comfortable for the viewer.
I mean, for anyone watching your video, you're looking to the right, a little bit down. But the original video frame is on the opposite left side. The viewer's gaze is led to the right side, where there is nothing.
It's the kind of thing that a lot of people aren't even aware of, but it makes a difference.
You can experience it yourself.

@@viyctoriyareacts VOB is amazing. In metal we are all brothers and sisters wherever we come from or what age we are. i really suggest VOB's song: God, Allow Me to Play Music. Strong message on that one! I can also suggest Arka'n from Togo Africa with their song Tears of the dead and the band from India Bloodywood/ Dana Dan. That is a metal song against rapist!
