I like the Tibetan beads!! They are so well done and glazed! Really enjoy every kiln tutorial and your clear explanation to the outcome result of each item with the number of glaze coats. These are very essential notes to record when comes to glazing ideas. Very proud to be your students! Thank you very much for sharing. :-)
Hello Sarah I love your videos. They are very helpful and the kiln opening videos are so exciting and I love to watch them to see the glazing effects. I love the amaco glazes. I love ceramics... I'm still learning throwing on the pottery wheel on ceramic workshops. I'm also practicing handbuilding at home. Your videos are very helpful and inspiring. Thank you so much❤️. Greetings from Poland.
I love and appreciate your honesty. I want to know what products are “ghastly”and what is amazing! As expensive as glazes and other items have become, your honesty is very helpful to me!!!! Thank you!!!
Great video again after sorting two ladies in their decorating themes today ... another nice potting day as well as yesterday ending up with 3 tagines from 2 more people and mine ....
Another fun video to watch! Thanks for loving your props, Sarah. 😂 I can’t agree more with you about BROWN glazes - like you say- 1970s brown…. Didn’t like it then, don’t like it now. I remember my first class when we finally got to glazing week, the teacher proudly brought out the glazes and they were almost all brown- yikes! Lots of love ❤️ Barbara in Edinburgh
Great to hear from you Barbara and so pleased you think I'm being kind to the props - that really made me laugh. I think we are kindred clay spirits - same opinion on brown glazes - only for men! Thanks for watching again 😍
I was talking to a pottery friend the other day and she referred to you as “SPS”. Sneaky Peak Sarah! So now, in Sydney pottery circles you are officially SPS.
I could be considered as an imbalanced bonkerhead and would be alright with that. Another wonderful video Sarah, I especially liked the two prayer wheels for not only their art work, but also for what they will mean to the family. Isn't pottery great. Cheers...Freddie
Love that sweet little sheep & my word! The totem project is an absolutely wonderful project! I wonder how she started the shapes for the project. We’re the glazes Amaco Stroke and Coats?
Thanks for watching Natalie. The totem decoration was mostly Amaco celadon glazes for the background and she used other colours on the shells. On the rainbow she used my studio underglaze which I mix myself for the vibrant colours. Thanks for your kind words 😁
I was wondering when I have cookie cutters how can I keep them from sticking in the clay when I’m cutting them out and also on my slab roller can I put some kind of powder on there so that they will come off of their easier
Hi Kathy. If you use cling film (see-through food wrap) on the clay and cut through with your cutters (I.e. through the cling film and the clay) you'll get rounded edges. Use linen cloths for your slab roller top and bottom and it won't stick. Hope that helps 🙏. Check out the other tutorials on my RUclips channel- some of the tips might help 😀
Hi this is Cathy again do you mean just any linen cloth and also I have Christmas tree ornaments and I have a little white polar bear I’m doing so I will be painting it white on both sides is there anything I can do to not have the black marks and little holes from the little spikes On the back side from the stilts
Yep any linen cloth or cloth without texture (i.e. a smooth surface). There really isn't any way to avoid the stilts unless you put a hole in the top and suspend from wire but this is a complicated business needing some fairly heafty investment in strong guage niochrome wire. Hope that helps.
If I have the wire that doesn’t burn up in the kill can I string my polar bears that I have glazed or would it be better to paint them with white underglaze instead of white regular glaze but can I string them on the wire so that I don’t have to use Stilts that would Marr the back
I love the totem pieces that Sarah’s kids did. 😄
Hi Londa - yes, they're just great. It's going to be a monster. She's going to use hard rubber rings (like dog chews) between each wheel
The great unveiling. Lovely 😊
Thanks for watching Sylvia and for your kind words 😁

Absolutely love Carolyn’s vase
Hi Emma - yes - a great piece by Carolyn again. She uses some interesting glazes and texture. Thanks for watching😍
@@thepotterycorner Carolyn has exquisite taste and style
Ps always worth watching for top tips I’d forgotten or hadn’t factored in, an interesting learning curve for me 🤦🏽♀️🤞🏻🙏
@William Baillieu - glad you're getting the benefit my lovely. Good to hear from you😘

Would you mention what temp you are firing to? It looks like Cone 06-04 to me, but it would be helpful to know.
Hiya. I glaze fire 🔥 to 1230 degrees centigrade. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 😀

This is Cathy again should I paint my polar bear tree ornaments with regular white glaze or with underglaze
This is a personal preference really. Depends whether you want them shiny or not. Hope that helps

Hi kathy - you can string them on the wire between two kiln posts.
Completely un-pottery related, but man your hair is gorgeous!
Aw shucks! Decided to embrace the grey in lockdown- thanks for the compliment 😊
