A Gradual Decline in Morale is an actual drug for me at this point. I’m honestly so blown away at this album. It’s refreshing for me as someone who’s listened to heavy music since a wee lad.
Couldn't agree more. The album is one of those very very few albums you get in a lifetime where every track from beginning to end is a banger. I had had it on repeat for a month and it still sounds brand new.
i'm a friggin' 51 year old mother of two and I WAS THE ONE who found Kim and showed them to my sons! now we are all fans- i was so fascinated by their music videos, so fun to watch and listen to. very talented.
Thank you so much for bringing this interview. This is the very first interview I have managed to find from anyone regarding Kim Dracula. I recently discovered their music and have been spiraling down the rabbit hole ever since. I believe Kim Dracula is well on their way to becoming an enormous band globally. You managed to ask a good deal of questions that I think many will be interested in hearing the answers to. There is so much mystery with this band and so much more the fans want to know. Thank you again for bringing them on. Perhaps next time, the whole band can be present? That would be Great.
Please PLEASE KIM DO AN INTERVIEW I NEED TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PERSON BEHIND THE MUSIC I'VE BEEN BLASTING IN MY CAR FOR ALMOST 2 MONTHS STRAIGHT!!! I love seeing your brother he is awesome and gave some really good insight and now I feel like I understand the band better in general. Also wow y'all look a lot alike for a minute I thought it was Kim without the makeup. What a lovely group and Kim is the greatest lead and he is not afraid to make the music he wants and I love it and we need more of it! I can't wait for album 2! Also please physically release "A Gradual Decline in Moral" physically I need this CD for my car I will give you my money!
@PotatoKing86 it's crazy I'm a couple years older than Kim and dude already put down drinking.. granted the drinking age does start 3 years before here in the States but still
What a cool guy. I had a listen to the album, it's ADHD music - it's all over the place, weird breakdowns, then rapping, then bubblegum pop then a metal breakdown then a funky bit then techno breakdown. It's metal, funk, pop, easy listening all in one song. It could be it's own genre.
As a huge fan of kim drac since their early days with the paparazzi cover this is freaking amazing. Id love to hear more about Kim from themselves ans the crew!!!
This is exactly what I’ve been saying since the album dropped back in July last year. With Kim’s insane level of vocal range and varying techniques just makes me think more and more of Mike Patton as time goes by. A true phenom.
Hello Johnny! I just wanted to write and ask if you would consider having Wellin back on your podcast, a year or so later (whether you guys are touring together or not, if you can find the time) to see what his take is, now, after a year of miles under his belt. Like what would he do the same/different, is he still excited about the project, and to give us his perspective and insight to his own, and Kim's creativity (and, how the road has changed that, if any?), He just seems to be such an interesting, intelligent, and articulate dude, and since they are one of the few 'new' bands actually doin' it(and killing it), it would be interesting to see how they have evolved. Your original interview with Wellin is actually what turned me on to Kim D in the first place. I'd heard them once or twice, then saw your interview, searched them out, and am now a huge fan. They are one of the best new bands to hit the bricks since you guys. LOL Thank you for that, your consideration, and all that you do, and I wish you the best.
Great Interview. Seems like a super cool individual to hang with, other than he's now a "Rock Star" For those of us who were born in the 60's, grew up in the 70's & 80's, this band is just "Super Fab!" to many of us. We are getting all our music plus, today's in one band! Fabulous Mon Che`ri
Sam kiddo, (yes, I'm old enough to be your Mama) you were amazing live in Nashville. You literally never stopped from the time you and your brother came out until you and your brother finished. You and Kim are just bad ass, your energy is incredible, your music is even better! You have a devoted fan here in Ohio that drove 6 1/2 hours just to watch you guys perform live. I wish kim and you all the success in the world!
I had heard (actually seen the video) 'Make me famous' a while back, thought it was interesting, but forgot about it. After seeing this interview, however, I felt like I really wanted to explore the band more, and am glad I did! Their music is the blueprint for the immediate future of metal and pop music, I believe. It is nice to see that for a 'rock star' this young man seems to have his shiz together. Fun, creative, interesting, friendly, genuine, talented, exciting...these are just a few adjectives for this up and coming band.
Caught the show in tacoma yesterday and im glad it introduced me to kim dracula. Would love to see kim on the pod. Also anyone know what happened during Nobody during the show? Did zacky prank syn? syn started singing and was like vocoded, and he turned and said "zacky vengance". Then they killed the stage lights for a minute before continuing with the song.
Kim Dracula is hands down my number 1 up and coming artist. They are fresh on the scene and the music is phenomenal. The vocal range absolutely nuts. The riffs, the drums, the splash of ska trumpets, the skits, the different voices Kim does in their songs. They take so many sound inspirations and mash them together successfully. The fact this artist is 23 means if everything goes right, which it absolutely should, we have a lot of fresh music to come in the future from them. With their popularity booming literally overnight and them doing collabs with some of the biggest names in the industry. Examples being, of course avenge sevenfold, tech N9ne, Johnathan Davis (I mean that alone is a huge flex) there are some names I'm missing but with musical juggernauts like those instantly backing them I can not wait to see and hear what the future holds. Kim seems humble and appreciative to be where they are. They are very well spoken and in my opinion it's been over a decade since we have seen such a diamond in the rough. I feel they will be brought up in conversation next to the greatest band names in history. Think the next Linkin Park, the next slipknot or Korn. The next Disturbed. The next freaking Metallica. I know im over hyped about it but I truly believe with their talent, age and ambition and especially their marketability, they will be top of the food chain. Their first album was a banger from the beginning to end. Every song was phenomenal. Perfect start to hopefully a long and successful career.
It was awesome going to the show in PineKnob, I absolutely LOVED the new album. And it’s amazing y’all finally did an interview! Also thank you for restocking Kim’s merch.. I wanted to buy it at the show but there was a bad storm. I stood in the rain to be told I can’t buy anything due to the storm. Just got my merch today. Get those albums back, though I’m happy they’re currently sold out.
My wife and I were at the "infamous" show at Pine Knob in Michigan, Avenged was the headliner. We got to see Kim Dracula and Alexis On Fire, didn't care much for Alexis On Fire, but Kim Dracula was AMAZING. I loved how they came on stage, and you weren't sure what they were going to sound like and the drove right into "Superhero", at first, I looked at my wife and said "they sound like mid-90's Incubus." The more their set went on, the more I realized that this was my new favorite band. They kind of sound like Mr. Bungle on speed or LSD, or both. I so wanted to buy a shirt, but there was none available. Oh, and Avenged's set was postponed due to bad weather, that was the "infamous" part. They said they'd come back and they did... KUDOS Avenged Sevenfold. A lot of bands/artists would've just canceled the show and refunded the ticket price.
Bad weather my ass. I was there too, and we were playing human bowling up on the lawn. That’s how not terrible it was. But regardless, I still had fun.
You guys are all from Tasmania? …crazy how much talent in one place This guy is really fackin excellent Oh shoot they’re brothers Yea the album was a wild story, it kind of gave me “if I weren’t doing this I’d have been a school sh👀ter or serial killer, but instead I have a killer band” Rosé is a fantastic song too

I agree! I need an interview to learn more about them and hear that accent. Also- I just bought the cd on their website it's now available
The cd was on their website, but it’s sold out!😭
"Unmaking a serial killer" that's the only interview he did
I discovered Kim Dracula from this tour in August and all three bands were incredible
Same here tbh
Same here saw them on Monday at the Tacoma Dome. Discovered Kim Dracula from this tour. Thumbs Up and shared. A+++
Kim is a once in a generation talent
So crazy how Kim hasnt been on a podcast or done a interview yet
He did one interview called "Unmaking a serial killer"

This is awesome! I would love to see a sit down with Kim!!! He seems like a interesting dude and I wanna know more about him!

Seeing the whole band would be awesome! It’s nice to finally see an interview from someone, thanks Wellin!
As a huge fan of kim drac since their early days with the paparazzi cover this is freaking amazing. Id love to hear more about Kim from themselves ans the crew!!!
Wellin is so sweet🥰
The second I heard him I thought his voice sounds so much like Sam's. Turns out they're brothers😄
I saw A7X on 10/13 at Austin and was blown away with Kim Dracula. Super energetic and used stage props. They’re like a modern day Mr Bungle
This is exactly what I’ve been saying since the album dropped back in July last year. With Kim’s insane level of vocal range and varying techniques just makes me think more and more of Mike Patton as time goes by. A true phenom.

I've been waiting to see an interview from these guys. New favorite band.. and I haven't had a new favorite band in a very long time.
He seems to be a very sweet guy. Loved the interview. Great to know and confirm some information. Can't wait to see them live.
What does he mean when said that he is most of the time on 11?
Hell yeah, good to see him here he was super fun live with ya’ll.
'House of 1,000 Corpses' and 'Devils Rejects' are 2 of my most fave movies. Rob Zombie. OMF. 💚

Saw them at louder than life this year, was very surprised! Get Kim Dracula on the show!

Awesome podcast!! Saw y’all in Nashville and all the bands killed it!
I did too. Loved it
Such an amazing show in Portland 💜🖤🤘🤘
"Without Johnny Christ we would be nothing" 😂
I have never heard Kim's accent before, nor have I ever seen them out of makeup, so I initially believed I was being trolled. Lol
You guys are all from Tasmania?
…crazy how much talent in one place
This guy is really fackin excellent
Oh shoot they’re brothers
Yea the album was a wild story, it kind of gave me “if I weren’t doing this I’d have been a school sh👀ter or serial killer, but instead I have a killer band”
Rosé is a fantastic song too
Was just sitting here trying to find out who produced A Gradual Decline in Morale and here I am 🙂
I’ve always wondered the difference between Kim’s vocal range compared to Mike Pattons. It has to be close…anyone know?
Mike patton doesn't even have the widest vocal range.
Mike is 5 octave.
Dani is 6 octave
Guys like Dani filth from cradle would destroy him both lyrically and vocally
Cant wait to see yall this weekend!
Funny I saw them right after they recorded this. Killer show
Wellin neeeeeeeds to see the entire firefly trilogy!! and the terrifiers! such a good taste in horror films 🖤🥰
I'm certain Beast and the harlot will eventually come back to a7x setlist.

It's great to see and listen to Wellin🥰 but I'm just curious How come there's no interview with Sam on the internet? Like none🥲
Kim has one interview with revolver magazine
@@lillihartman9802 oh thank you!!❤
Huge introvert while not being on stage, probably (I can relate).
Tons of influences on this album but I’m wondering if anyone picked up on the Savage Garden bit? Or just me?
