Creed is a band that taught its fans to sing their songs with soul and it's impossible for you to sing a Creed song without putting in feeling and energy, this band is divine and Scott Stapp is simply the voice that commands it all
They earned most of the hate. The drummer going on a show in Seattle (of all places) and saying "Eddie Vedder wishes he could write as good as Scott Stapp" and then the band cancelling 20 shows because Stapp was in a fender bender and didn't explain what was wrong. Stapp acting like he's Jesus and showing up in a sex tape with a bunch of strippers and another dude. His public feud with Limp Bizkit. His domestic violence charges while acting all righteous. The problem is, they got way too well known to get away with all the crap they were involved in.

Creed is one of my favorite bands, as is Alter Bridge. Myles Kennedy and Scott Stapp(lead singer of Creed) are two of my favorite singers, they're unique vocals and range are incredible. Not to mention Mark Tremonti's epic guitar playing.
My Own Prison is definitely the definitive song for Creed. That's the one you should do both live and place on yt. Forget anything else you know about their writing and your mind would absolutely explode lol.
Alter Bridge is actually Creed w/ a different lead singer... same 3 guys (Guitarist Mark Tremonti, drummer Scott Phillips & bassist Brian Marshall)... This was 2001 from the 3rd Creed album 'Weathered'... it charted at #1 in the US and sold millions of copies. Creed put on a happy face and filmed a VH1 documentary 'Behind the music' that same year, claiming the band was 'stronger than ever'... but it was a facade - Creed was falling apart already... Brian Marshall (bass) had already left the band in 2000 (That is why he's not in this music video) after tensions w/ Scott Stapp (vocals) ... Mark Tremonti played the bass on the 'Weathered' album and the band hired a session bassist for the tour. Problems began immediately on tour... Scott Stapp was struggling from alcoholism and his marriage was headed for divorce... Creed concerts became a disaster w/ Stapp singing the wrong lyrics onstage and fans demanded refunds for their tickets... Mark Tremonti recalled at one show, Stapp disappeared from the stage in the middle of a show... Tremonti ran offstage and found Stapp in the dressing room thinking the concert was over... Creed ended all touring in 2002 at the peak of their career. In 2003, Mark Tremonti released a statement that Creed was over because the band and Scott Stapp could no longer work together... Tremonti had written a 4th Creed album by '03 but opted to record it w/ a new singer under a new band name... He felt that Creed had become a 'joke of the music industry' and was unwilling to carry on under those circumstances... The band re-hired bassist Brian Marshall and picked vocalist Myles Kennedy, renaming the band Alter Bridge in 2004 and releasing their debut album 'One day remains'. Meanwhile, Scott Stapp released his first solo album 'The great divide' in 2005... He did reunite w/ Creed in 2009 for their 4th album 'Full circle'... but he continued to struggle w/ substance abuse and mental health. Creed recently announced shows for the first time since 2010... Alter Bridge is still active and Myles Kennedy is also a part of Slash's solo band outside of Guns N' Roses.
Definitely more Creed. I believe all the three other guys besides the singer formed Alter Bridge with a new vocalist when Creed broke up. Creed has a lot of very good songs with interesting videos. I think I just heard that the original Creed just got back together after a 20-year break up or however long it was so that would be pretty cool. Supposedly they're going to start touring and playing all the old stuff and getting in the studio to c.ome up with a new album
Creed's music all had very Christian like overtones.....altho they never classified themselves as "Christian Rock" almost every song has some reference to the Christian faith. Scott pulling himself out of the water......being "reborn" or even possibly baptized...........AMAZING band.......MANY great songs....probably the MOST popular band of the early 2000s
A fun band you should check out and react to is a band called Bowling for Soup. Two songs I would recommend are 1985, then follow it up with High School Never Ends. 👍
Sacrifice was the first Creed song I heard. Unfortunately at the time I wasn't in a very good spot and the song brings that back up which ruins it for me. The song is great and I listened to it a lot, but can't anymore because of those darker days.
And am here sitting a 2005 born searching for every 80's 90's 2000's rock bands. Calling 2012 nostalgic may sound ridiculously pathetic to you lol (as it does for me reading your opinion)
I hate to break it to you, but this song isn't as sweet as you think. It's disguised as a love song about running into an old flame the song is actually about an addict in recovery having a relapse
Thank you so much for being here guys, see you soon on Twitch
This song reminds us of the importance of talking to ourselves, Forgive ourselves, Finally look inside us.
This is one of the best songs ever written.

Creed gets a ton of shit but they made some excellent music and this is probably their best.

Saw them a week ago and it was fire.
When that first drum beat hits I get goosebumps. I love this song, it was the whole reason I got into Creed. So good 😎

I always find songs here that I like but haven’t heard yet ☺️
*scratches song from list* 😂
Glad you liked it, it's still my favorite Creed song 😊

It certainly makes me fee old when kids these days consider 2001 nostalgic😂
Nostalgia is the early '70s. Did I make anyone feel old?
I remember being 7 years old and wondering why this Watergate thing was interrupting my Tom and Jerry cartoons. Double boom nostalgia.
It makes ME feel old when i realize 2001 was 22 years ago 😂
Best reaction of "My sacrifice" by Creed 👏❤️

It kinda sounds like the Creed song "Take Me Higher"
Both are sole masterpieces
Molto interessante, Bellissima Inna. Grazie

His voice is better than Miles Kennedy. Miles sounds like an generic cover band singer

I believe it’s actually about reuniting with religion because of his drug addiction disguised as a love song
Tremonti rules
1985 isn't nastalgic. Ive got a few albums that are as old as i am
