100% agree. Play whatever builds or variety of builds and playstyles are the most fun to you. Don't be a META slave, like all souls likes basically anything works even in apocalypse so long as your build has decent synergies. I do think an important distinction is between optimizing the build you are going for VS doing a META setup that happens to be the most broken shit on the current patch. Im too much of a bleed build to let it go but when i switch out my tommy gun for another trash killing gun its gotta take the knives mod. I feel like other builds need to be made to fit around the boss weapons and that takes concentration that i dont have.
Doesnt „Meta“ mean Most optimal Build? Because resetting a boss for a 6% on a crit sounds like a ton of „wasted“ time compared to going in first try and mod-spamming the boss to death. IMO Its rather a fun build than meta
It should mean that. But it evolved from being optimal to "be absolutely perfect at killing shit". Yeah, you can oneshit a boss, but where is the fun of actually playing game the intended way. Monster Hunter World have this issue. People make those "meta build". But 90% of them are so hard to play or have so hard to get items that it is almost impossible to play for almost everyone.
Nice video. Fun is the way the games should be played in the first place. No cheesing stuff that much. I just have a small question. Atleast to me seems the world analyzer not working. Is there a new version to it or something? I can never see any adventures nor an updated version of my campaign. I am lost a bit. I only have 1 character (deleted another). Any suggestions?
as a newcommer to the game after beating the man and dlc and just at awe. I understand being minmaxed and optimal builds but with a game such as this and many others, it usually isnt fun and in most cases just following the lead of better players than discovering what works best for you. I know the mentality of " but its not meta" will never go away but man i guess this means i aint touching online play for remnant
Yeap. Keeping to one OP meta and being OP is just not an enjoyable experience. I'm enjoy survival too. It frustrates me everytime whenever I died to stupid mistakes or reason but that's the fun in it. And as for adventure and main campaign, challenging yourself, making different build is fun than just whizz through with the most OP build there is to offer. Games like this are meant to be enjoy, experimented. Kudos to you for making a point in this video!
Ditch the HP system, it’s numbers, it never ends. All games are ruined by it, from Dark Souls to Wasteland 3, Divinity....armour don’t mean shit, plenty of meta builds, bosses get stomped like cockroaches. U can’t even enjoy the hardest difficulty because it is never ending misery until you’ve grinded enough for the OP build.
in theory you'll have to hope for that super Crit rng and it's stupid 90% of times you won't proc it but what is "reset the devouring loop RNG" you talked about? is there a way to make it surely proc?
I became invincible because of a glitch in the dragon fight and took advantage of it to farm materials on apocalypse for a day. Became boring very quickly.
Its so true. I've not been playing this game for long but I have grinded hard and I was so focused on getting the meta builds. Like the bleed build or crit builds and they are strong but i just didn't enjoy it. In the end I have made myself a "Burn Heretic" build which is no way meta but I have so much god damn fun and it can easily hold its own in apocalyptic difficulty and since doing this I've had so much fun on the game.
I’m one of the new players that came with remnent being free for psn I find it difficult personally to learn stuff like this and I can’t find what the 2 expansions are good for any help would be appreciated for
Just grabbes the game within the past week, not trying to replicate this build or anything, but what was the rifle and mod you used? (Not the rifle with blackhole)
lol, I don't disagree with anything you say here, except nerds are gonna nerd. One of my best friends has a real data driven mental problem. Every game we play he sits downs for a week, builds a spreadsheet and then comes to every PVP battle with whatever he has figured out to give him the exact perfect damage to cost ratio crap. I spend hours building fleets and armies and gearing up and he shows up with 200 level 1 whatevers and a janitor because per damage percent the janitor adds .000234 percentage more damage per unit buff than any other item and he wrecks everything in 10 seconds. For me, in Remnant, I have green glowing armor lights, green weapon glowing mods, a green glowing melee weapon, and everything that I shoot glows green or turns green... Green means go! Green is Good... right??? Fashion NEVER function.
I saw a guy use stormcaller mod without flying around and it insta-killed everything on the map, bosses included. He just walked around with blue glowing eyes. I couldn't figure out how he was doing it.
Meta will always be a thing and has it's place for certain aspect especially for speed runners who mixes that with game glitches to get the fastest time. It can be quite entertaining to see someone just break the game in way you didn't think was possible. Now then it does getting annoying when everyone starts following the meta like guide book when it comes to coop games and getting kicked just cause you wanted to go with your own build. Also can ruin even a single game experience if all you do if follow the exact build and guides to win without any effort of your own. Like all thing, there is a time and place and meta just require balance of the times to use it or even for assistance to get past perhaps one very annoy or tedious part that you get stuck in.
Welp. I just finished the campaing with only shotguns/melee leto armor on apocalypse. Nighmare/Dreamer fight took like 50 minutes because the range of the shotguns. It was a selfmade challenge for me. This looks "cool" but to be honest its still RNG. Reset bosses to get the big crit... You can kill the boss normally with a good setup faster I think.
see now I've been playing a few years and have everything in the game and all of it maxed oht and had made a new character and did this simply for the reason that there was nothing left to do and thought why not. it's just funny and fun to see will this work? and when it does the enjoyment of 1 shooting and op enemy is great
The point of grinding a game out is to become powerful. Video games have turned into making a player feel like they are becoming more powerful but every time you level up so does the game. So in the end you are in the same spot you were when you started. If a player wants to grind to become a God in a single player game then I don't understand what the problem is with that and why developers feel the need to take it away. But there's more players than developers and a lot of those players are really smart and figure out ways to get it done and developers will have to continue nerfing it because obviously there are players out there many times smarter than some of these Developers.
Hmm.... I kinda wish remant had bosses who can challenge some of these armor and weapon combos. Like it be cool if the ai could react to a player not taking enough damage so it gets angry and does actions to cause more damage or hit you with a are.
Just so you know this works with the Radiant set as well unfortunately my dumbass forgot to record me one shotting Singe but hey it was hilarious doing 72,007!

I mean... normal IS easy, that's how it is supposed to be. Hard a bit challenging and to know the game, nightmare when you have decent trait lvl and apocalypse when you want to play really well. I have a full trait lvl character and i'm still playing on nightmare, can't focus enough to make it through apocalypse xD
@@rhendryoaraque5851 i mean i think it is easier cause every weapon is balanced and armor set cause when the game 1st came out you had find you gear then build your build. Right now you can pick anything up and breeze through normal. I couldn't do that when game 1st came out.
@Mayan Ruins lmao breeze was a little too much but You can run through the game fine with basically every weapon. Before in my opinion the weapons wasn't balanced so you ran through the game with like the best in slot gear and and what fits your play style. Once you find enough armor set weapons and trinkets. Then make a build and then you run through the game much more smoothly. Now i kinda ran through normal smoothly right out the bat(part of it cause i know enemies attack patterns). It just that the game is balanced where everything is basically good. So in the beginning you can run through the game easier. I think balanced is good in the end game cause it allow a lot more builds and play styles to fit other players. Like when the game 1st release there only a limited amounts of builds the could run through nightmare(at the moment it was the hardest difficulty)in my opinion.

Thats why i like this game, every item i find i can use in a new combination to create my on builds and enjoy some adventures with friends. im new but im not here for this kinda of meta, nothig againts who is tho. Your channel helps me a lot thanks for the content
What is truly Meta in a game that is coop? And how would that notion exist if there are tons of effects, Traits, mods, weapons, that can be used together with each other for any type of build. Trash builds should not exist in a game where there are so many paths to a working build. Feels like this game has opened up several opportunities for fun builds. I never once heard of a The term " META" existing in this game. I mean, what use it if everyone only uses one build?
The sequel needs to remove this scaling issue. Upgrading my gear and raising my gearscore should make the game easier, not harder. Also hordes spawning during bosses needs to scale back quite a bit.
I think you and people forget that you don't have to play these super meta builds, they have no effect on your gameplay unless you're playing co-op and someone is running it; but what are the chances that you run into someone using this exact set up online? Very slim. Now, what I am going to tell you is to shove it, because the nerf rationale needs to go, the nerf rationale is why games become unenjoyable for others, because you and some vocal minority are screaming and crying that one build is "overpowered" (It's fully meant to be, because I guaran-fucking-tee you the devs know the interaction is there and have left it untouched since it's VERY FUCKING INCEPTION.) Go play the builds you want, do whatever the fuck you want; just stop trying to force others to conform to what you think is fun, because what you think is fun, isn't fun for others, end of story.
Maybe the real meta was the friends we met along the way.

"if you're not going to hack the game files you might as well sell your pc"
Just got this from ps plus and sad I passed it up when it came out. Glad to know that everything can be done in a fun way unlike other souls like.
How are you getting Glowing Fragments from bosses? Do you need to play on a difficulty higher than normal? Or is it RNG?
Yes , on higher difficulty , or on survival mode , there is also a dungeon in swamps of the corsus where you can get 25 of them .
Honestly i dont see people doing this often enough to talk about it. Im only doing it to kill the dreamer on hardcore for the talisman
Que anillos usa?? Solo muestra como hace 1 hit pero no muestra su set completo
Do I need to have dlcs to use labyrinth armor?
I just spammed turrets and seedcaller with tommy gun during my first gameplay.
It was fun and now i will go for bleed.
But 90% of them are so hard to play or have so hard to get items that it is almost impossible to play for almost everyone.
you punished this Queen .. thank you
how do you play survival mode on ps4 ?
I'm enjoying a bleed build with the warlord set, really fun and makes you change your play style
what was the build for the radiant armor and beam rifle
You do you man
I fuckin love the just tian things. My first play through of the dlc was on nightmare and tian made me consider putting it to apoc lmao
So inorder for this to work you just collect all the gear twice without upgrading correct ?
Did they ever patch this/does this still work?
Is there a guide anywhere on how to get specific trinkets and rings?
remnantfromtheashes.wiki.fextralife.com/Amulets
On a different note what are some op builds involving Leto’s armor?
Bleed weapon razorwire necklace and bloodletters Insignia
in theory you'll have to hope for that super Crit rng and it's stupid 90% of times you won't proc it
but what is "reset the devouring loop RNG" you talked about? is there a way to make it surely proc?
Working ? Can i upgrade weapons or not even that ?
What weapons are they?
I became invincible because of a glitch in the dragon fight and took advantage of it to farm materials on apocalypse for a day. Became boring very quickly.
This is why I play hard-core, you kind of just have to make do with what you get rather than going for crazy builds
You can put your build in the comments? I am looking for one that isnt meta but can get trough apocalyptic
I’m one of the new players that came with remnent being free for psn I find it difficult personally to learn stuff like this and I can’t find what the 2 expansions are good for any help would be appreciated for
I like to play the game and came exactly like u. If wasnt because the game was free i didnt know that the game exist lol. If u r in ps4 i can help u.
Top quality commentary, truths galore, my guy. Consider me a new sub just for this. Keep up the great stuff!
Honestly, you’re right. Repeating the same build over and over stagnates innovation. It constricts creativity and makes a drone out of you!
Just grabbes the game within the past week, not trying to replicate this build or anything, but what was the rifle and mod you used? (Not the rifle with blackhole)
Beam rifle with swarm mod
@@netia2 preciate you
Is there a place to share builds with you. I have found one that make me laugh at just how stupid it is yet how well it works.
You gonna cover remnant 2?
Are those guns dlc only ?
Didn't know there was a META. I just wore what looked good at beat every difficulty lol
lol, I don't disagree with anything you say here, except nerds are gonna nerd.
Isn't the real Meta the friends we made along the way?
Not dying is my meta.
Thank you
My favorite thing is running summons with lab armor and soul link
how did he kill singe
The true meta are the friends we made along the way
Yeah new dlc came out i just bought remnant on my pc(beat it on the ps4) and was like is it me or the game gotten a lot easier. I felt i should've place the straight on hard mode instead of normal.
I mean... normal IS easy, that's how it is supposed to be.
Its a literal pve game, how u play shouldn’t matter to anyone else, its a game just play to have fun cuz thats what you bought it for.
Still working?
What was your build? I mean, I can use those two weapons and they don't do THAT.
His build..... modded account lol. The only way that u can do that amount of damaged is modding ur character in save wizard.i have all the traits at max and i dont do half of the damage that he does
Thanks bro .
Great ending message Sir.
I agree. I like just playing and enjoying the game. Besides it feels like an accomplishment when I earn new stuff or find new ways to play. This game is great but everyone wants an easy time until they have it. Then it's all complaining after that. Sad time
I just try stuff and fuck around with all kinds of build mostly keep meta stuff for when i want too try hard or cant be bothered/helping somebody. Also just me or dus devo loop seem too proc allot more then 5%?
actually it was recently nerfed. but yeah it does feel more frequent than that. like 8%
@@Phemeto so does this build still works? Thanks
Thats why i like this game, every item i find i can use in a new combination to create my on builds and enjoy some adventures with friends. im new but im not here for this kinda of meta, nothig againts who is tho. Your channel helps me a lot thanks for the content
Now I want to try this. I hate boss fights.
Bro why are you even playing thia genre? 😂
@@BakerLegate-zh6bh i mean really lol
I love GTA but i hate stealing cars :c
Me just shooting till it dies and not thinking of metas being a thing
THIS, all day every day. Thanks for making this video and sending out an awesome message. Keep it up!!
Can u help me on hardcore please?
pyromancer flamethrower is decent fun.
I honestly think the remnant 2 progression debacle came about as an overcorrection.
Who else was there when Mario hit 101 on survival??
Patrick Fry I don’t know if he’s uploading it or not. But it’s on twitch, @yeetsmemario
but I enjoy having the power to 1 shot a boss. :D
I'm currently making a lifesteal herosword build. Op as fck.
I run a corrosive, explosion, fire build on there it's a fun build that isn't too op
I like do try out new stuff and switch stuff up I just mix and match however I like xD
can anyone tell me which items he uses for this build :D?
Well said, sir!
The sequel needs to remove this scaling issue. Upgrading my gear and raising my gearscore should make the game easier, not harder. Also hordes spawning during bosses needs to scale back quite a bit.
the gun didnt need to be removed (its still in remnant 2 XD) it was the ring that made this possible. do some research
Is this still doable? I'd like to have. Second characterize this.
I think you and people forget that you don't have to play these super meta builds, they have no effect on your gameplay unless you're playing co-op and someone is running it; but what are the chances that you run into someone using this exact set up online? Very slim.
Now, what I am going to tell you is to shove it, because the nerf rationale needs to go, the nerf rationale is why games become unenjoyable for others, because you and some vocal minority are screaming and crying that one build is "overpowered" (It's fully meant to be, because I guaran-fucking-tee you the devs know the interaction is there and have left it untouched since it's VERY FUCKING INCEPTION.)
Go play the builds you want, do whatever the fuck you want; just stop trying to force others to conform to what you think is fun, because what you think is fun, isn't fun for others, end of story.
Does this still work I wanna freak my brother out?
Yes
Didn't think you cpuld put out such damage. Jesus 😳
its perfect.
