Tap Magic cutting fluid will change your life! And the smell is pretty great too.
I’m going to get some! I’m learning the small tricks as I go. Thank you! I’ll be doing another set in a couple weeks.
Looking good 👍. A nice tip when I did my wheels I drilled all the holes for the clips before painting the wheels and not to worry about messing up the fresh paint. Great 👍 video.
I thought about that then I was afraid the paint would get into the threads and it wouldn’t screw in correctly. Good too though. Probably will do that next time.
Thread chaser kits (bolt/nut) for std and metric are essential to have around and would work perfect to clean the threads if you paint after tapping. Great video and C10 talk interview. Keep inspiring.
@@stevestacy4501 Good point! My next set I plan to do the holes first then paint!
Two videos in one week!!! So awesome. Keep them coming, loving every minute of it.
Yessir! I’ve had a few in the works and wanted to get them out! I know alot of people have been waiting on the wheel video. I think it turned out pretty good. Thanks for the support!
Great vid! Quick tip: I used a heat gun to peel stickers off takes 2 seconds and leaves very minimal adhesive on the wheel then hit it with some goo gone spray.
Awesome! Thanks
Love the white outer ring
Thanks
Great info, Pro vid!! Gotta get out there and do mine now!!!! Really appreciate your time!
Thanks!!!!!
Thanks man!
Been watching your videos the last couple weeks and you’ve done a really good job putting these together, especially explaining the air ride, which I’m getting ready to tackle on myself. Somebody asked you about the tires you’re using. I’ve never heard of this Fullrun tire now that the video is a year old how are the tires holding up? Thank you in advance. I will probably be asking more questions down the road. John
I’ve sold this truck but I’ve ran them on a few trucks. Honestly, I just try to find the cheapest tire available at the time I buy. I usually pay around $450. If you get a high quality tire, it could be about $300 a tire.
My dad bought a brand new 66 short box. Still have it..gettin ready to do it to it. Have a fresh 409 and 4 speed for it..
Nice!
Thanks for watching!
Really nice and clean look. You ever think of cutting out back window and getting big window installed?
Nah. Too much work for not that big of a difference. I don’t mind either way.
3m eraser wheel would make quick work of those stickers! Nice work man, wheels look killer
Yea. That’s what I mentioned in the video but they are awesome. If I already had one laying around I would have for sure used it.
Heat gun would loosen the sticker too.
Looks amazing....very nice work!!!!
Thank you
You can use a heat gun on the sticker to losen the abhesive
Good tip! I’ve used one on my last two sets now! Helps a lot.
Thank you for the video, thinking of doing the white wall on a 62-impala steel wheel.
Thanks for watching.
Hey man what are you filming and doing your editing with? Always enjoy watching and need to step up my editing. Thanks
iPhone 13 and a free app called splice.
Awesome video ! Keep them coming good stuff for my build !
Thanks!
Awesome video man ! What are the sizes for the wheels and tires ? Can’t find it in your video description.
No worries! And thank you. They are 22x9 255/30/22 Transport Wheels
@@SIMPLE.C10 Okay, thank you !
I have looked everywhere and cant find a link for the wheels. Are they D-town smoothies?
The wheels I use are transport wheels. I explain in the video they are available on eBay and Facebook marketplace.
Love your videos brother. I have a 75 c20 and been trying to look for some 20’s 8 lug like these however I can’t find a set. Would you happen to know a place? Appreciate it in advance!
Detroit Steel offers 20s in 8 lug. Thanks for the support!
Get you a 3M 07498 Stripe Off Wheel Eraser Wheel With Arbor 7498 for removing the stickers. You can thank me later. Awesome job!! Keep it up!
Thanks buddy. I’ve used those in the past and they are awesome.
Nice work Travis, I admire your work! Can you post a link for the transport wheel, I need to order me a set! Thanks
You actually can’t buy them from a company. I have a set right now I can ship you. Add me on Instagram Simple.c10 and send me a message.
Nice work! Your videos are great! Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
I have a 69 c10 still has drums on all four did you have to use spacers on the rear? Thanks.
If you machine the middle of the wheels larger you can fit them all around. If you don’t go disc brakes on the front you’ll have to do it or get adapters all around.
Good stuff boss! Changes the whole look. Great vids, 55 in the backround?
Not sure. I think so. Zach knows cars more than I do.
Any idea what is needed to run these on a 67 c10? Ive heard as long as you have the disc. brake conversion in the front they fit right on to the hub but if drums on the rear you have to use spacers or bore out the center to fit the bug? TIA and love the truck!
You nailed it. Disc brakes on the front and either bore out on the back or inch adapters.
@@SIMPLE.C10 do you recommend any specific adapters?
What size/style hubcaps will work with transport wheels
10.5 dog dish hubcaps
What rims and caps are those. I don’t see it in the links??
Transport wheels. You can get them from eBay or Facebook marketplace. The hubcaps are on my linktree in the description. linktr.ee/simplec10
Why not drill and tap the holes before painting the wheels?
That’s what I do now. At the time when I painted the wheels I didn’t have the cap clip kit yet and didn’t want to wait on it because the wheels needed on the truck.
What is the wheel backspace and what size lugs? 7/16” or 1/2”?
Transport wheels are 22x9 with 6 inch backspacing. They are 1/2
I see the 1 inch spacers in your link tree. Are you using 1 inch spacers on no association?
Yes
What size rim is this? Any backspacing?
22x9 6 inch backspacing. Standard transport wheels.
I bought a set of transports to run on my 61, but they don't get along with my factory inner fenders very well 🤣
There’s a video for that!
@@SIMPLE.C10 I originally built my truck to run 15s, so I went with big drop spindles. Now I wanna run the deuces and keep the factory sheet metal
Where can I pick up a set of transport wheels?
I find mine on Facebook marketplace. I know eBay has some occasionally.
Dig the videos. where are you getting the caps from . can't find ones for 64 gmc .
www.classicparts.com/mobile/1964-66-Hubcap-Chevrolet-1_2-Ton/productinfo/64-029/
Why not drill and tap holes first before painting then clean?
You will see in my later videos, I do drill and tap first. I painted first in this video because I didn’t have the clips yet.
Do you sell this rims painted like that?
I could but it would be expensive.
How mAny spray cans of each product you go through?
4 white 8 black 8 clear
Very nice, where do you get a set of transport wheels?
Facebook marketplace usually.
@simple.c10 and that's how they're advertised? Are they dealership take off wheels? I'd love to have a set.
Yes. They take them off at the dealership but some people can find them and buy them
@simple.c10 sorry about all the questions but I really love those wheels!! What years and models of new trucks would match the bolt pattern for my 63 C10? Thanks again and love your truck.
Where did you find these wheels? Or how can I find a set
eBay or Facebook marketplace
What size cap fits the transport wheels
I use 10.25 dog dish caps with my simple.clips. You can get other sizes but you would need a specific cap clips to fit.
Great idea. Nice look. What size wheel and tires on Black Dice?
Currently? I think 15s. The truck in the video is No Association. It has 22x9
@@SIMPLE.C10 what size are tires on transport wheels?
@@SIMPLE.C10 yea I meant the truck in the video. What size are the tires?
A tip from a keyboard genius. 😂Heat gun to help remove stickers off wheels.
Thanks! I’ve used a heat gun on my last two sets after that one lol.
@@SIMPLE.C10 thanks for cool vid’s. Also, subbed your channel.
Were you buy transport wheels
Facebook marketplace or eBay
What color is this truck?
It’s called liquid charcoal
Where do you get your tire deals? 255/35?
ebay.us/GT1RPq
You think I can get those rims in 26?
Not transports. They only come in 22s. You can try detroit steel wheels.
@@SIMPLE.C10 thanks a lot.. dope truck I subscribed
What tires are you running and size?
255/30/22 Lionhearts
Appreciate it I just ordered my set and now I just have to find the dog dish, and order clips
@@laleyendatattoobizz I have a link for the dish dish. Under product links at the bottom linktr.ee/simplec10
What size tires u running
255/30/22
Heat gun baby .heat gun
Yea. I’ll be using one on my next set of wheels coming soon.
Tap first, paint after.
Good advice. I’ve done that on all my wheels since.
Why not drill 1st, then paint?
When I painted them I didn’t have the clip kit with drill bit and tap. My latest two sets I have drilled before painting. Good suggestion.
Not a suggestion, just asking to prevent me messing a set up😂.
BTW, what size transport wheels & tires are you running on black dice?
Thanks for the vid.
@@bradmason8334 all transports are 22x9. I run a 255/30/22.
Sweet azzz Mofo
Thanks!
Just found ya. Come find me. Doing the same more or less.
Sweet!
What size rims are those
22x9
Would it be better to do the hubcap installment before painting the wheels
Yes it would. I do that on my other videos. This video I didn’t have the clips yet
🤘🏻
Thanks
