Thank you so much Bridget, you are so kind in your comments. We saw our lovely granddaughter again at the weekend so I feel very blessed 🥰. Have a good week 😊🧵
Thank you very much! We are so thrilled and feel so lucky to have another little member of the family, off for more cuddles this weekend! 💗👶🏼Have a good weekend 😊🌻
Welcome little Chloe ❤. She's adorable!!! Congratulations to the new parents and proud grandparents!! Love all your makes as always Carole. Such beautiful places to visit in England!!
Thank you so much for your lovely comments!! There are many wonderful places to visit in England.... as long as the sun shines!! Have a good weekend 😊🌻
Lovely news, Carole - congratulations- she is beautiful! We are going to be first time grandparents in November! Michelle’s video had exactly the same effect on me also - 2 new patterns! Kind regards from Penny in Liverpool🇬🇧😊💕🍼
Hey Penny! Oh wow your first Grandchild, well as everyone said to me, you have never known a love like it!! I am sure I am more fond of my Grandchildren than I was my children, I am definitely more patient anyway 😆. Michelle.... you have a lot to answer for!! Thanks so much for watching and hope Liverpool has some Summer as we certainly don't down here 🙄🌦️. Thanks for watching 😊🧵
Carole, your T-shirts never look like “T-shirts”. Your fabric choices make them more of a stylish top/blouse. They are all gorgeous. What a pretty baby! Blessings to her.
Oh that is so kind of you to say that! I will remember that whenever I make another T shirt and there will always be many as it is the most practical garment for my lifestyle unless I'm going out 👏🏼. Thanks so much also for the lovely words re Chloe, she is just so adorable and we are so glad she arrived safely. 👶🏻💕
I started sewing when I was 11 years old and now I am 64....I sewed a dress for my mom in 1972 and just this last month I made the same dress in a red Hawaiian cotton print...I have all my old patterns ( 1972 and on) The old ones I always trace them out if they have not been cut yet.....The old patterns are sized smaller! Have fun sewing!!! Love watching you and congrats on the new baby.... From Sunny hot! Southern CA. , USA
Hi Sunny hot CA! Another cold rainy day in Dorset 🤣. It must be wonderful to have kept all those patterns, I have one I think that I made years ago and my Mother doesn't have many either. If I do make the 3000 I will certainly trace it without a doubt and you are right, they are so much smaller 🤣. How wonderful that you made another dress from that pattern from 50+ years ago!! Have a great weekend and send us some warmth 🤣🧵
CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of Chloe Eloise. How precious! Love the top you are wearing--absolutely beautiful! The Lago tank and the Concord T-shirt are lovely also, as are the Burda pants. You have been busy. When I looked at the pattern Simplicity 3000, it reminded me of the time my dad had traveled to Japan and China with his work. He brought home some beautiful fabrics for my mom to sew into dresses for my sister and me. The dress she made for my sister looked like the green one on the cover of the pattern you have. So many memories. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Carol, thank you for all your lovely words on my makes this week! What a marvellous story about your father and the fabric he brought home from the East. I am so glad those dresses haven't been forgotten as your Mother must have been so talented and brave to work with that fabric. Thank you for sharing that story with me. Have a great weekend 😊🌻
Congratulations Grandma! You have sent me down a rabbit hole. I liked your pattern idea but since I don't have a channel I am watching for patterns from my birth year. Thought it would make a nice vinnette. I really don't have room but really when would that stop me. Enjoy your new grandbaby. She is precious.
Thank you! Grandma just sounds so old, I think that is why I like to be called Nanny😆. After I filmed this video I started looking up 1000 and 2000 patterns, they are out there but cost a fortune to ship to the UK. Why are all the vintage patterns in the US?! What did we do with ours 😆. I hope you get some of your birth year patterns, that is an awesome idea. Start up a channel then you can show them! Have a great weekend and thanks again 😊🌻
You are the single most stylish Nan that ever was! She is beautiful. And she'll always have the prettiest clothes because her Nan will make them. So precious. Congrats. xoxoxoxox
You are the kindest person I know to say all of that 🥰. Off in the car to the other side of the country right now to see her again 👏🏼💕. I just want to make so much for her right now but I also want to be away visiting her so it's a tough call 🤣👶🏻. Have a very lovely weekend, can you post me some sunshine please, I need some, I can't cope with all this rain we are having 💧☔️. Love you my friend 😘🩷😘🩷
Hi Carole. Can i first say you dont waffle on you are a joy to watch you have certainly inspired me, congratulations on your new granddaughter chloe they are so precious these grandchildren, have a lovely weekend and look forward to more from you, take care
Thank you so much for saying I don't waffle on, that is so kind! I just love chatting about sewing as you can tell and this youtube community has changed my life 😊. I can't wait to see Chloe again this weekend for more cuddles, you are right, Grandchildren are just so precious and we have a very different love for them don't we. Enjoy your weekend 😊🌻
Congratulations Carole. Chloe is beautiful. You have made such beautiful baby clothes. I love the navy trousers… well done! You had a very productive week. Enjoy the baby cuddles this weekend. ❤
Aww thanks Diann, we are so thrilled she is here safe and sound 💕 I love those Navy trousers, that pattern wins for me every time. Isn't it great when you find a pattern like that? Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend 😊🍓
Thank you very much Julie. Just on our way home from seeing the little cutie 👶🏻💕. Thanks for your kind comments on my makes, not sure what I will do with 3000 yet! Have a good week 😊🧵
Thank you so much, that is really kind. I have told my Son and Wife to read all these lovely comments. Lots more baby cuddles coming this weekend 👏🏼👶🏼💗
Carole! Congratulations Grandma 😊🙏😊 Grandchildren are such a blessing! You had a great week of sewing. All of your makes are beautiful! 😊 I did see Izzy's mug rug, AKA, the Hand! Lolol! Those buildings are beautiful! Have a blessed weekend!
Thank you Grandma Zelda!!! Isn't it wonderful to spend time with Grandkids, I certainly have much more patience with them and love their company far more than my own children I swear 🤣. You need to have a go at a Mug Rug, they are so much fun to do but don't make yours look like a 🤚🏼!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend too my friend 😊🌻x
Congratulations on the granddaughter. First grandchild is so exciting. Love all your makes. Those Parker Ponte Pants are great. Best fitting pants for me. I love them. The patterns leave a lot to be desired with directions. You've sewn enough to be able to make a beautiful garment. Three thread overlock is best for babies. Make the vintage dress. Otherwise it might just deteriorate over the years. It's like china we get when we get married. We save it for good. I was married 46.5 years and used it 1 time. Afraid I would break it. That was wasteful of me. Trace the pattern and make it. Would love to see it. Good luck with the button making, sounds like a lot of fun. Grandbaby pictures are beautiful. The pictures of the school are lovely. I love seeing pictures of England as I will never get to see them in person. Thank you.
Thanks Diane, this is our first Granddaughter as we have the two boys already but she feels very special just the same. Great news on the Ponte pants, they might be just the thing for me instead of wearing jeans day after day in the Autumn/Winter. I do not wear leggings now. Crazy to think I hadn't chosen to use the three thread before, as you say it is much better for smaller items, thank you. You are right about the Vintage dress, it could make a nice Christmas dress if I can get the right fabric. Re the china, I know exactly what you mean but ours does come out on special occasions with guests 🤣. Hope you have a lovely weekend and thanks for all your wonderful comments. 😊🌻
Thank you very much! That walk was so refreshing after the day we had with a very long journey and being in a stuffy hospital! All worth it though 👶🏼💗Have a good weekend 😊🌻
Massive congratulations to you all. A new baby is such a joy. Our baby granddaughter Lili is 10 weeks now. I have the fireworks jersey from 1st for fabrics too. I bought it when they had the faulted roll, hardly faulted at all.
Thank you very much! How wonderful to hear your granddaughter is doing well and 10 weeks, is she smiling yet? That is the one thing parents can't wait for isn't it! The fireworks fabric is so wonderful, what do you plan to make with it? 1st for fabrics is a dangerous website for me 😆. Have a wonderful weekend 😊🌻
Congrats on another precious blessing, Carole! You are going to have such fun sewing for her! There are so many more options for girls! I love the sleeves on the blouse you’re wearing, and your makes are fab, as always! 😘💗
Thank you Andra, we are so grateful Chloe is here safe and sound 💕👶🏻. I made lots of little dresses for Katie when she was tiny so I can’t wait to make some again, you are right, so many more options with girls !! Hope you are having an enjoyable weekend and thanks for popping by 😘❤️
Massive congratulations! And welcome Chloe! Sending big congrats to grandparents and parents on the safe arrival! Oh the baby cuddles 🥰🥰🥰 enjoy such a special time!!she’s going to be the best dressed baby 😂
Thanks Rachael, we popped over to Kent for more cuddles at the weekend and she is just so adorable and tiny. We forget don't we just how small they are and for so little time. Have a good week xx
Hi Grandma Carole. Chloe looks like a real sweetie. Congrats to you and your family. I know you'll have an even wider smile on while you're sewing both tiny and big projects, Antonia
Thank you, she really is such a bundle of cuteness 💕. You are so right, I can't stop smiling when I think of projects for her. Off for more cuddles right now! Have a good weekend 😊🧵
Congratulations. I can only post photos of the back of my grandchildren, but that is fine with me. Enjoy making little girl clothes. I'm currently working on two dresses for our one year old granddaughter. So much easier than getting a pattern to fit on me
Thank you so much. As you say, I fully respect their privacy with their new treasure and any photo I put up has been authorised 🤣. My daughter though is completely different and puts photos up all the time. Who know who is right?! I am going to love making little girl clothes as I did make some for my daughter when she was tiny 🥰. They definitely have less lumps and bumps to fit around don't they 🤣. Have a good weekend 😊🧵
Congratulations on the birth of your new granddaughter Carole. I'm sure that with all your sewing experience Stylearc patterns wont cause you any problems. We were all used to big 4 patterns so no problem I think.
Thanks so much Annette, we are all thrilled with the new addition as you can tell. I have kept to simple Style Arc patterns so as you say, I should be ok! Fingers crossed. Have a great weekend 😊🌻
Hi Carole, I just started trying to make Dorset buttons! I stumbled upon tutorials on youtube. They are so beautiful. How exciting you are able to take a class and live where they originated!! Have fun learning:) Congratulations on your precious little one♥
Oh wow, that is amazing!!! I honestly don't know where you start and don't really want to spoil my class by looking it up. How have you got on? The class will be run by a local Vicar so that should be really interesting, I need to visit a local museum I think and actually see some. Thanks for your comments and wishes. 😊🌻
Congratulations on the new addition to the family!,❤❤ As always, your makes are always great 😊😊😊😊 I hope you have a great weekend with your new granddaughter🥰🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕💕💕
Thank you so much Karen. We are so excited to have a little granddaughter 💕👶🏻. Thank you also for your kind comments re my makes. Hope you have a good weekend as well 😊🧵
Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter! 🎉 I have 3 grandchildren myself and you will find that it is a whole different kind of love. What a pleasure seeing the world again thru their eyes. Enjoy this new addition to your family! 😀
Thank you very much! That makes three grandchildren for me now as well, I have the two wonderful Grandsons 6 and 2. I count myself just so lucky to be able to spend time with them and off for some more cuddles this weekend! It truly is a different kind of love, you are so right. Thank you for watching 😊🌻
Congratulations on the new addition to your family. I became a first time grandma on July 31. It’s so wonderful. I love those Dorset buttons. How about making some and using them on your vintage pattern? They would be quite the feature. Thanks for inspiring us all to make beautiful things.❤🧵🪡📍👶❤️❤️
Oh wow!! Congratulations to you too, that is wonderful news. It certainly is so much better being a Grandparent isn't it? You have a very different and special love for them without the stress of parenthood! I have no idea how my buttons will come out yet so I will hold off on plans to use them 😆. I am in two minds about the vintage pattern, I so want to make it but don't want to risk damaging the pattern. It would look great in a frame on a wall 😆 Thanks so much as ever for chatting with me, enjoy your weekend and the new grandbaby 😊🌻👶🏼
Huge congrats Carole. I too became a granny on the same day as you. First grandchild. Baby boy who is gorgeous, but I would say that 😂. Sadly couldn’t meet him for a week and haven’t made anything yet- never made baby clothes as I dread the poppers. Your makes are beautiful as always. Congrats again. 😊
Oh congratulations to you too! A first Grandchild is such a special moment. I made a lot for the boys when they were younger and did a dungaree pattern endlessly that didn't require poppers for the exact reason you avoid them. I find them to be so unpredictable. My daughter loved those dungarees Simplicity 8894 if you want to try them. Thanks for watching fellow new Grandma! 😘
Thank you so much! I will pass on your congrats as we are with them this weekend. Four granddaughters to sew for how wonderful!! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. 😊🧵
Welcome Chloe!! What a joy! So much fun cuddling and sewing ahead 😄 The photos of your walk were beautiful. I loved seeing the beautiful grounds and architecture of the area.
Thanks so much! Off for more cuddles this weekend 👶🏼💗We were so fortunate to find that public footpath, just what we needed after long journeys and hospital visits! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment as always 😊🌻x
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Nothing like a precious grandbaby to cuddle! I have often said after being with mine, it's like getting a B12 shot. Lol. They somehow make you more energetic. Chloe Eloise is so pretty together! You will have so much fun sewing things for her. I have only 1 granddaughter, (3 grandsons). I must say, I seem to get more things made for her than myself. 😂😂 The t-shirt made out of the "embroidery" fabric is soooo pretty! Thanks for mentioning about Style Arc patterns being on sale. I will check it out. Have a wonderful weekend!
Thank you so much!! Cuddles with the Grandchildren are just the best aren't they? We are off for some more this weekend. I can't wait until she needs some pretty dresses etc but for the moment they just want the practical stuff while they learn the ropes! I know what you mean, those little garments are just so fun and cute to do aren't they. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and those patterns are still on sale on Amazon for you. You only saw the discount in the check out bit. Good luck! 😊🌻
Congratulations on your new granddaughter xx I’m sure you will spoil her and she’ll never be short of cloths. Love the outfit for Chloe. I’ve forgot to mention in previous comments but I love your music choice.
Hello and thank you! I am a huge fan of country music and blue grass so that piece of music I found on RUclips seemed perfect, nice and relaxed as well. Chloe is just adorable and it's so lovely to have a little girl in the family. Have a good weekend 😊🧵
Thanks Sandra, we are so thrilled she is here safe and sound 💕👶🏻. I’m looking forward to making up that fabric, so many projects in my head and so little time 😂. Have a good week 😊🧵
Thanks Mary, I will pass on your wishes. I am looking forward to the button class and finding out more about the history. Thanks for your lovely comments and have a good weekend 😊🧵
Congratulations, lovely name for a gorgeous girl. Now a girl to sew for, hopefully her wardrobe is big enough 😂 . Your 3000 pattern took me down memory lane, in (wait for it) ....1967 I went to a ball and wore a gold dress like that, had the body then 😅 gone now 😢, once again loved the photos, regards Diana from NZ 🎉❤
Thank you so much, isn't it a lovely name? Something we would never have guessed. I can't wait to get started on pretty dresses but they just need practical stuff for now as new parents 🤣. Thanks for sharing your story re the 3000 dress, I think it would be equally as stylish now! Thanks for watching all the way from NZ, now that is one country I'd love to visit. 😊🧵
Congrats on the new baby. My brain thought the same about painting. I think we should say "did a painting of" rather than painted for those of us who might be a bit literal. Have fun this week.
Thank you so much!! I am glad someone else's first thought was the physical painting of the School 😆. I definitely blame the way Christ phrased the sentence! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, hope your weekend goes well 😊🌻
Thank you so much! I am making basic things for Chloe at the moment whilst they learn the 'dressing' ropes. I can't wait to make dresses though. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 😊🌻
Congratulations Carole!! Chloe is beautiful and a real angel! How many grandchildren do you have now? We have 5. I sew for them too. Tom's daughter has 4 and Tom's son has 1. You will definitely enjoy making cute frilly dresses for Chloe through the years and then bags!!! They love bags and jewelry on your embroidery machine. 😍😍😍 I love your twill pants and both your shirts and I too use the 3 thread overlock setting for thinner knits sometimes. Have fun at your button course. Sounds interesting and exciting. I'm looking forward to your collab with Kris. I know what you'll be making for next week: something for Chloe! 💖💖Enjoy Ontario.
Thank you so much Grace. We are currently with the little cutie now 💕. I now have 3 wonderful Grandchildren, 2 boys from my daughter and now a girl from my Son and his wife😁. I can't wait to make dresses but they still need things they can easily put on and off as newbie parents 🤣. It's so silly I had never thought to use only 3 threads on the serger as I do it often on my coverstitch!! Thanks for all your lovely comments and have a good week 😘🧵
Congratulations!! A new grandbaby is so exciting. Thanks for sharing all your pretty makes. Can't wait to see the Style Arc patterns made up and to see the results of your button making class. It sounds like so much fun. I'm still trying to get some summer tops sewn up. It will probably be warm for a few more months here in the south.
Hi Carol, I have given up on Summer ever coming to Dorset this year so already thinking of Autumn and it is still August 😆. We are so thrilled to have another member of the family and a little girl as well! I am excited to have a go at my first Style Arc and hope I get time this week. Thanks for watching and your lovely comments as always. I so appreciate your loyalty 😊🌻
Congratulations on the new baby girl. What a lovely gift to your family. I'm sure you'll love learning to make Dorset Buttons. They are fun but sometimes fiddly. I learnt to make them in India of all places on a knitting retreat with Tania of TJFrog - a Dorset Button maker queen. Originally from Dorset she now lives in Skye. You may get hooked!
Thank you, as you say Chloe is the best gift for our family 🥰. I can't believe you learnt how to make Dorset Buttons in India, now that is a story! I will have to look up that Button Queen 🤣. I imagine they are fiddly so I may well need my reading glasses with me! Thanks so much for your comment and that info. Have a lovely weekend 😊🧵
Congratulations on your new arrival! I love the Cashmerette Concorde Tee, by far my favourite t shirt which fits beautifully. Whitney from Tomkat stitchery does a sew along for the Parker Ponte Pants. It’s definitely worth a viewing. 🚴♀️🐝
Thank you very much. I have made the Concord again since then and I think I have the right size now so I am pleased with it. I do love the cuff band on the sleeves. I will have a look at Whitney's video, thank you. 😊🧵
Congratulations!! She’s sooo tiny. I have 8 grandchildren 7 boys and 1 girl. They were all between 8lb and 10 lb. 🤣. I love seeing those harem pants for them as well. The button class sounds so interesting. Can’t wait to hear about that. I’m playing catch-up on Friday videos as we just returned from a week at the beach with family. Oh how I miss waking up and sitting on the porch enjoying the ocean views and looking for dolphins to go by.
Thank you so much! She is tiny but 3lbs heavier than my daughter when she was born, I can't believe it! 8 Grandchildren must really keep you on your toes and all born at lovely sizes. I am looking forward to the button class but not sure how good I'll be! Oh my mind wandered to holidays when you said about looking at ocean views from a porch 🥰. Dreamy 😊. Thanks for watching 🧵😊
Thank you very much. Off to see her now 💕👶🏻. Thanks also for the tip on Style arc tutorials, no wonder they do sparse instructions if they already supply that! I am looking forward to giving one a try. Have a good weekend 😊🧵
Thank you very much! I did have fun making that mug rug despite the hand comment. I've just embroidered two little flannels for Chloe, I still like my embroidery machine, I'm sure you could do a mug rug on one!!! Have a great weekend 😊🧵
Hi Carole! You definitely did have big, very happy news!! How lovely! Congratulations to the new parents!! And to the new Grandparents as well! You are going to have a lot of fun sewing for the new little one. I love all the different patterned fabric you find. The florals are gorgeous! I have heard of Poole Pottery (and have some) but I don't remember ever hearing of Dorset buttons. Very interesting! Are they crocheted buttons? Well, it will be interesting to hear about what all you learn and see what you make. Have fun with the class! Have a great week!!
Thanks Deb, I have told my Son and his Wife to read all these lovely comments! It is certainly going to be different sewing for a little girl after the boys. I have a whole set of Poole Pottery from the 1970's which we use all the time, I can't believe you have heard of it. Dorset Buttons I only know about because my Mum had made some. It is interesting as the class is being taken by a Vicar!! As I understand it they are a sort of embroidery/tapestry, I will let you know next week. It is going to be different anyway so wish me luck! Thanks for your lovely wishes and comment, enjoy your weekend xxxx
My friend's husband is from Poole; she's from Bournemouth. On my first visit with them, I was taken to Poole Pottery where I bought some lovely souvenirs. Can't wait to see the button you make! Have a good week-end!!
Congratulations, Carole! How wonderful to have a new baby in the family! You will be in spoiling mode from now on, a granddaughter! Some fun sewing ahead! I love your makes this week, they all look so nice, you do such good work. The trousers turned out great, I need to try that pattern for myself, now that I can return to sewing. The pictures are so lovely, especially the ones of Chloe, she’s a beautiful baby. Take care.😊
Oh I do love to spoil those Grandsons so yes, extra spoil mode for the little girl 💗👶🏼. Especially now as the boys are growing out of Nanny cuddles. That Burda pattern works so well but I remember Vivmom telling me that Burda are famous for the Crotch Curve, sounded very silly at the time but yes, they really do get it right! Thank you so much for all your lovely comments as always, I so appreciate them 😊🌻
What an adorable little thing your new Chloe is! ❣❣❣❣ Please thank your son for allowing you to share her photos with your subscribers. Another sweet grandbaby for you to sew for, now dresses and pink frilly, girly things. 🥰 The baby shirt you made is so cute. I've never surged with a 3-thread method, so at some point I want to give that a try. Your ribbed jersey tank top came out great! Really like your new fabric, especially the "fireworks" looking one. I've seen so many beautiful fabrics on UK YT channels (see the latest Think Pink unboxing by Yorkshire Sew Girl) that I wish we could buy here. Minerva carries a lot of gorgeous fabrics I'd love to be able to buy, but just not to be. Shipping charges are just too expensive. I have to assume the same for US fabrics and shipping charges to the UK are just as expensive. Thanks for letting us know about Style Arc patterns on Amazon. There are a few on my list that I'm interested in buying, but will have to wait for the next sale. I watched Dizzy's mug rug tutorial last week. It's now in my "some day" project list of things to make. Chris has such a fun sense of humor. He obviously loves to tease you! 😜 The button making class sounds fascinating! Can't wait to see your makes from it. 🥰 Hugs!
Hi Dori! Thanks as ever for all your lovely comments I will indeed pass your best wishes on. I think it is so strange that we all seem to like the fabric from other countries, I love your choice at JoAnns and I also love Myfabrics in Germany! I have always wondered about shipping costs from Minerva as so many Americans seem to shop there, I always end up ordering bad fabric from them as I don’t look at the fabric description enough and the quality really varies with them. I wouldn’t order from the US as I am very wary of Customs charges which might get loaded on. The mug rug is such fun to make and didn’t take long at all, a ‘Handy’ Mug Rug is just what you need 😂. Chris does indeed like to tease but he is my biggest supporter so I can’t complain. Hope you have a wonderful week and I’m off now for more cuddles 💕👶🏻 xx
Congratulations Grandma Carole on your newest addition to your family. I love your blouse you had on, it looks wonderful on you and the fabric is gorgeous. Take care and have a good week.😀❤
Ha ha thank you! As you can imagine we are thrilled for them both. Thank you re the comment on the blouse, it worked out ok in the end! Have a good weekend 🌻😊
Congrats on your new grandbaby! Eloise is a family name for me - my mother's middle name, my grandmother's middle name and my great-grandmother's name! 🧵Love that new fabric Carole! Fun colors 😊 🧵 I CANNOT believe you bought some Style Arc patterns! I hope you like the ones you picked up - so much pressure!! 😂 🧵 Your mug rug is adorable - I need to make the Summer one. I really enjoyed making the Spring one! 🧵Your button class sounds amazing! PLEASE share feedback afterward 💕 🧵 You must have the largest pj collection of anyone I know 😂
I can't believe Eloise is a family name for you! That is such a crazy coincidence as I had never really thought of the name before. Ok so , I have the Style Arc patterns, I can't believe you doubted me in my brave quest to explore new horizons🤣Aren't the Mug Rugs fun? They are great to do when you just want to 'play' in your sewing room and are between projects. I will of course share feedback on the buttons, I am not sure how I will be at doing them all I know is, they won't look as good as yours! You are just so mean about my PJs 🤣, I'm going to have to start making them on the sly! Have a wonderful weekend 💗😊
How wonderful a new baby congratulations. Great makes as always. I have five grandsons all taller than me, they are such a joy. I have made Dorset buttons in our embroidery guild.
Hi Lorraine, I loved hearing that you have made Dorset Buttons, how did you get on? They look very intensive but I remember my Mum saying she enjoyed making them. No doubt all my Grandchildren will be taller than me, my 6 year old is shooting up already! Thanks for your comment and have a great weekend 😊🌻
Wonderful news! 🩷💕🩷 There is nothing more precious than a new grand-baby! I’m looking forward to all those cute little outfits I’m sure you’ll be sewing!
Another wonderful and inspiring video. Congratulations! Love her name (my granddaughter's first name is Eloise!). The trousers looks great - I've GOT to try some pants.
Congratulations to the new addition to your family! She looks like an adorable little bundle in your arms at the end of the video! Also, how wonderful to learn to make Dorset buttons. They are so beautiful and what a wonderful way to connect to the area's history. I love your makes, and the fabric for your tshirt is beautiful. I love how it's faux embroidery. :D
Thank you so much Lara, that is so kind. I can't wait to have more cuddles this weekend💗👶🏼. I am really intrigued to find out more about these buttons and have a go at them, I know my Mum really enjoyed it and still shows me hers with pride! Isn't that faux embroidery fabric wonderful, it seems a cheat now I have an embroidery machine 😆Thanks for watching and have a great weekend 😊🌻
What pretty baby girl ..Chloe looks adorable. enjoy every minute you can ...What part of Ontario are you visiting.. We live in Ontario.. Right now Its HOT .. Your walk is so beautiful.. thank you for taking us along.
Thank you so much, she is such a cutie 💕. As you say, we will relish these early months with her as they are only babies for a year! We are heading to Ontario so I'm thrilled to hear that it is hot! Can you keep it that way please as we have had the worse Summer here 🤣. Thanks for watching and enjoy your week 😊🧵
Congratulations on the birth of your new granddaughter. I’m sure we’re going to see lots more lovely outfits you’ll be making for her. She’s so cute. The image of the great Turner painting the school really made me laugh! Have a good week. 🙂
Thank you, she is such a wonderful addition to our family! I am sure I will be making lots of items for her as long as they will let me💗👶🏼. Honestly my husband is still laughing about my painter comment! Hope you have a great weekend 😊🌻
I looked at Dorset Buttons years ago. Was thinking of them the other day. Now I wanna trail it. Your Chris sounds very very much like my Chris. Good luck with that hahahhahahaha. Now BTW I can only see a hand!!! 🖐️
It is something my Mum did a few years ago and loved so it was always in the back of my mind. When I saw a class locally I snapped up the chance. It is tomorrow night, so wish me luck!! You aren't the only person with a Chris the same as mine, there has to be something in the name. Thanks for watching 😊🧵
Congratulations on the arrival of your granddaughter what a blessing style arc patterns if you haven't done one read all the information which are limited i have done alot they are getting slowly better your tops are nice high 5 on the quilting great video thanks
Thanks Robyn! Oh I howled with laughter on the High Five comment 🤣. I'm looking forward to those style arc patterns and I suppose if I can do Lutterloh that have NO instructions at all, I could manage these patterns.....I think?! For me it's getting the sizing as I know where I am with the big four. Thanks so much for your comment, kind as always ✋🏼😁
Congrats on the new grand-daughter!! Such wonderful news and I love her name! Love the new trousers and the new tops. I had to laugh when you were talking about the trousers for Katie. I have the same thing going on with Marianne at times. Don’t they know we have videos to put out? 😂 I also bought a couple of Style Arc patterns recently and I already had the Parker Ponte pants. I really want to make those this Fall. I love your mug rug and think it looks like a sunset, but oh my goodness did I laugh when you mentioned the “hand” 😂 Gorgeous photos at the end… as always! Have a good weekend xx 💞
Thanks Izzy, the name was a nod I think to Steve's Degree in French! I got a real telling off from Katie today re the comment 🤣😅, I don't think she will make the same error again although...... she still hasn't returned them to me 🤣. At least I had the ties to prove I had done something! We ought to do a Parker Ponte Collab!!! 👏🏼👖Glad you approved of my 'Handy' Mug Rug 😆. Enjoy your weekend away, we are off to Kent for more cuddles 💗👶🏼xxxx
Hi Carole. Loving all your sews this week. The Style Arc patterns are a bit differently packaged than most other pattern makers. I do like Style Arc but they can be a bit sparse on their instructions. However, you are an experienced enough sewer to fill in any gaps (especially as you do Lutterloh system). For your 3000th vintage pattern, why don’t you buy a picture frame put it in and a hang it on the wall. ☺️
Hi Ann, I was so surprised that the Style Arc pattern was just like a photocopied document I will admit, not quite what I expected. As you say, I don't know why I am worried about the instructions after doing Lutterloh! I have chosen simple patterns as well which helps. Re the 3000 pattern, I have indeed thought of just framing it. I may trace it if I can or try and recreate it somehow using other patterns I have in my size. It would be lovely to have on my wall I agree. Have a great weekend and thanks for popping by 😊🌻
Thanks Agata! Aww the lovely Alice as a baby, I bet she was adorable as she is now. My Katie was only 3lb 11oz can you believe and my Son was 5lb 10oz. This is the biggest baby I think we have had in our family as Katie's were both tiny and early as well!! Husbands eh? Perhaps there is something in the name Chris/Kris 😆. I will have a look at that magazine thank you. Enjoy your weekend 😊🌻x
Hi Carol, I heard today that you were traveling to Canada. Are you planning to visit Niagara Falls? If so, I would love the opportunity to meet you. I live just across the border in the USA. Wanda Z
Hi Wanda. We are indeed planning on visiting Niagara, we have been there before but it is so awesome we are going back! Not sure on our dates though yet, I'll keep you posted. Have a wonderful weekend 😊🧵
Thank you so much! We are indeed coming to Canada in August/Sept. Canada is a rather big place though. we are touring around Ontario. We have been a couple of times and just love your country. You never know, we may bump into each other 😆Have a great weekend 😊🌻
Lovely video Carole. Congratulations on the birth of your Granddaughter.
Love all your makes. Lots of good plans too. Lovely photos. Thank you😊
Thank you so much Bridget, you are so kind in your comments. We saw our lovely granddaughter again at the weekend so I feel very blessed 🥰. Have a good week 😊🧵
Congratulations on Chloe 🎉❤. Beautiful outfits. Grandchildren are such a joy. You look like a proud grandma 🎉❤❤.
Congratulations to you and your family on Chloe’s arrival. I love all your makes and patterns. Pattern 3000 is very special buy. ❤❤
Thank you very much Julie. Just on our way home from seeing the little cutie 👶🏻💕. Thanks for your kind comments on my makes, not sure what I will do with 3000 yet! Have a good week 😊🧵
Aww Carole…Congratulations on the birth of your granddaughter Chloe Eloise💕 Wishing you lots and lots of snuggles and baby kisses💕💕
Thank you so much, that is really kind. I have told my Son and Wife to read all these lovely comments. Lots more baby cuddles coming this weekend 👏🏼👶🏼💗
Oh what a Joy ❤ Massive Congratulations on your beautiful new Granddaughter 😊
Such precious times ahead xx
Thank you so much Sam. We are in love with the little cutie of course! 💗👶🏼
Carole! Congratulations Grandma 😊🙏😊
Grandchildren are such a blessing! You had a great week of sewing. All of your makes are beautiful! 😊
I did see Izzy's mug rug, AKA, the Hand!
Congratulations on your new granddaughter Chloe! Thank you for sharing the countryside . I look forward to seeing your makes.
Thank you very much! That walk was so refreshing after the day we had with a very long journey and being in a stuffy hospital! All worth it though 👶🏼💗Have a good weekend 😊🌻
Congratulations on your new little granddaughter, Chloe. She's beautiful. I loved the stone built school buildings and the beautiful grounds.
Thank you very much Ann, We are so delighted to have a new member of the family. Have a good weekend 💕👶🏻
Congratulations on arrival of your granddaughter. You'll have great fun making her lots of outfits! Have a great w/end x
Thank you Cheryl, I am going to love making little things again and girly ones as well! Have a lovely weekend as well and thanks for your comment 😊🌻
Congratulations Carole, so pleased for you all. What a beautiful name. 😅
Thank you so much Anne, those names were a real surprise to us and we just think they are so pretty.
Hope you are having an enjoyable weekend and thanks for popping by 😘❤️
Congrats Carole. Wonderful news! Looking forward to seeing all the lovely outfits you will make for her.🥰
Thank you so much. I’m really looking forward to making lots of girlie clothes in the future! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 😊🧵
Congratulations to you all on the birth of your grand-daughter!💗
Thank you very much indeed! She is indeed a cutie, but then I would say that 😆💗👶🏼
Congratulations.
Congratulations! You are always positive and joyful but today was exceptional.
Honestly, I think that is the best thing anyone has ever said to me!!!! Thank you so much 😁I will pass on your best wishes to my Son and Wife 😊🌻
Congratulations on
the birth of your new granddaughter Carole.
Congratulations on the arrival of your granddaughter!! Love all the pics at the end!
Thank you so much! We are so happy that she arrived safely and she is so cute! Thanks for watching 😊🧵
Hi Carole,
I just started trying to make Dorset buttons!
Congratulations on the new addition to the family!,❤❤
As always, your makes are always great 😊😊😊😊
I hope you have a great weekend with your new granddaughter🥰🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕💕💕
Congratulations on your new granddaughter! I have four granddaughters and one grandson. I always look forward to watching your channel!
Thank you so much! I will pass on your congrats as we are with them this weekend. Four granddaughters to sew for how wonderful!! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. 😊🧵
@@socarole66 Yes, I made 4 Easter dresses this year!
The t-shirt made out of the "embroidery" fabric is soooo pretty!
Good luck! 😊🌻
Congratulations aw so cute. Welcome to Chloe ❤️💜💙💚
Thank you so much Sarah and have a wonderful weekend 😊🌻
Fabulous news, congratulations! Beautiful makes, as ever!
Thank you very much for watching and for your kind comments as ever! 😘👶🏻
Congratulations on the baby girl Chloe 🎉 the fabric you bought is beautiful look forward to seeing the makes 😎
Thanks Sandra, we are so thrilled she is here safe and sound 💕👶🏻. I’m looking forward to making up that fabric, so many projects in my head and so little time 😂. Have a good week 😊🧵
Congratulations. Love the button class idea. Always enjoy your photos on the end of your videos.
Thanks Mary, I will pass on your wishes. I am looking forward to the button class and finding out more about the history. Thanks for your lovely comments and have a good weekend 😊🧵
Congratulations on your new grandchild. Carole I like the things you made.
Thank you Vanessa, we are just so thrilled she is here safely. Hope you have a good weekend 😊🌻
@socarole66 Your welcome.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, hope your weekend goes well 😊🌻
Congratulations on the newest arrival! Such a cute new outfit for her, too!
Hi, congratulations to the new arrival to the family.
Thank you so much! I will pass on your wishes to my Son and his FAMILY!! 👶🏻💕
Congratulations on your granddaughter! I live in Ontario, Canada and the end of August should be very warm. Thank you for your videos
Thank you Madeline not only for your good wishes but for the weather report! I will pack for all seasons then 🤣. Thanks for watching 😊🧵
Congratulations on the new grandbaby. Love ur makes. ❤
Thank you so much! That is really kind of you 😊🧵
Congratulations on your new grand baby….❤❤
Thank you! I have told my Son and his wife to read all these lovely comments this week. I am so pleased for them both. 👶🏼💗 Have a good weekend 😊🌻
Congratulations on your grandchild!🎉
Style Arc has tutorials on their Web page for some of their newer patterns if you get stuck. Love your top too❤❤
Thank you very much. Off to see her now 💕👶🏻. Thanks also for the tip on Style arc tutorials, no wonder they do sparse instructions if they already supply that! I am looking forward to giving one a try. Have a good weekend 😊🧵
Congratulations on your new family member 🎊 Cute mug rug😂 I’m more of a machine embroidery person & mug rugs are my eternal fave. 😉
Thank you very much! I did have fun making that mug rug despite the hand comment. I've just embroidered two little flannels for Chloe, I still like my embroidery machine, I'm sure you could do a mug rug on one!!! Have a great weekend 😊🧵
Looking forward to hearing all about your Dorset Button experience
Thank you, I hope you catch my Friday Sews this week as I rave on and on about it 😆. It was amazing!
Congratulations on the new addition, such wonderful news🪡🧵💕
Thank you so much! She is just adorable 👶🏼💗
Congratulations on the beautiful new edition to your family! Eloise was my maternal grandmother's name ❤️
Thank you very much, I had never really heard of Eloise until they said the name, it's so pretty. Have a lovely week 😊🧵
Congratulations Carol on the new addition to the family 👶🏻🍼 What wonderful news. Beautiful makes 💗. Looking forward to seeing your next vlog. 🪡🧵🪡
Thank you! She is adorable 💕👶🏻 thanks so much for watching and your lovely comment. Have a good weekend 😊🧵
Congrats on your grand baby
Thank you so much! She is just adorable and yes, I know I would say that! 🥰🩷👶🏻
Congratulations she’s beautiful 💕
Thank you very much, off to see her again this weekend 👏🏼💗👶🏼Have a good week!
@@socarole66 I enjoyed doing the Dorset buttons but I like doing fiddly things. Enjoy Canada.
Wonderful news! 🩷💕🩷 There is nothing more precious than a new grand-baby! I’m looking forward to all those cute little outfits I’m sure you’ll be sewing!
Thank you, it is just so exciting for us all! I will certainly be making lots of little girl things going forward 👏🏼. Have a wonderful weekend 😊🌻
Another wonderful and inspiring video. Congratulations! Love her name (my granddaughter's first name is Eloise!). The trousers looks great - I've GOT to try some pants.
Aww thank you Jacque, isn't Eloise such a pretty name and I can't believe you have a Granddaughter with the same name! Thanks for watching 😊🧵
Style Arc are fantastic patterns ❤
Thank you for that, I can't wait to start on the top. 😊🌻
@@socarole66 We are in Southern Ontario so I can only speak for our area.. I'll do my best to spread the word that you want Hot.
Beautiful jersey fabric!!!
Thank you, aren't they wonderful pieces! Now to find some patterns to match. Have a good weekend 😊🌻
Congratulations!!
Thank you so much! 💗👶🏼
Just to add I did try them on just forgot to get them back to you 😂
Still waiting 🤣😘🩷
Love your makes…
That is just so kind! Thank you x
@@socarole66 Yes to a Parker collab! Maybe when I’m back from my trip in late September? Xx
Sounds good to me 😁 xx👖xx
Have a great weekend and thanks for popping by 😊🌻
Congratulations:) Alice was 6lb6oz. So almost the same weight.
BTW my Kris says similarly silly things ;)
Ottobre magazine is great for baby patterns.
Congratulations! How lovely!
And did you say you are coming to Canada? Are you going to come and visit me?😁
Thank you so much! We are indeed coming to Canada in August/Sept. Canada is a rather big place though. we are touring around Ontario. We have been a couple of times and just love your country. You never know, we may bump into each other 😆Have a great weekend 😊🌻
