  • In this video I briefly cover the steps I took to increase my Kaspa KS3M ASIC miner's airflow. I am getting 12% increase in airflow velocity as well as 2 to 4 degrees C drop per chip, with the same AC Infinity fan speeds. The best part is it's completely free!!!

I ended up removing grills on both sides and even without a cfm meter I had a noticeable difference in airflow.

Yes, meshes 100% can limit air flow. It's a common problem with computer hardware enthusiasts. We worry about dust and thats about it.
Cfm isnt a standardized test between fan manufacturers or even models. So whatever u test, create a standard with as little variables as possible.

Actually, I'll be posting an in-depth watercooled video later today! Keep an eye out! 🫡

Hey man, do you have any confirmed fitments for your shroud kits on a Bitmain KS3 yet?

      I do not, unfortunately.

@@BoneyardLabs anyway I could get your measurements of your fan screw pattern to compare to mine? Or vise versa?

@@BoneyardLabs my fan screw holes are 105mm x 105mm and the bottom screws of the top fan are ~15.5mm above the top screws of the bottom fan. Would there be anything else that would matter other than these measurements?

I brought up my CAD model. The left/right spacing is 105mm and the top/bottom distance is 226mm. The center sets of holes are 16mm apart. From what you measured, it sounds like an exact hole pattern match.

    • @ShaneMcelrath12

Yes that sounds correct. One of my distances were just over 15mm and on the other side almost 16mm which is why I averaged it but I was thinking the fan could be a little twisted. Thank you for confirming! Now my next question… my print bed isn’t big enough and I’m not quite ready to upgrade printers, would you be willing to sell me the intake and exit shroud? If so, let me know a price. I want it to be worth it for you if it’s something to be considered. Thanks!
