I'm certified as a Cancer Exercise Specialist and frankly am quite surprised that this video is being promoted to patients with cancer.

How is this for cancer patients? This is a regular fitness class. I need something to get me back to this. But I can't do any of this stuff now. I was hoping to find something to get me back. This is just discouraging and tone deaf towards sick people. 😫

i started my 1st chemo treatment and felt so much fatigue, I could only stay awake for a few minutes at a time. How could I find energy to even stay awake?! But I read so much material on how exercise helps combat fatigue. I started with very, very low impact stretches for about 1-2 minutes day and noticed my brain woke up for about a few seconds, sometimes minutes! So I increased my time for my stretching exercises by 1 minute or so when I felt a little stronger. I noticed my brain was slowly waking up. Gradually I made it to 10 min /day .. and gave myself lots of time to get there. Then I read that astronauts have similar struggles with their bodies as chemo patients do. One study showed that vigorous exercise combatted fatigue. That intrigued me and that’s when I found this video. I tried it and slowly did the exercises as much as my body would allow. I kept it within my limitations and am slowly gaining strength each day. It has gotten rid of 90% of fatigue. So grateful I found this low impact exercise.
Great job on the exercises, Jess! Great job with the leader of the exercise (sorry don’t know your name)..Kept educating us on the correct muscles to engage. Very positive and encouragins.

I cannot imagine anyone feeling sick after chemo would want to jump around and do this. Most of the cancer patients I know are battling to just stay upright, never mind this. Is there nothing calmer for people who are sick. Please.

The first seven days i feel very bad. But i take light walks to keep movement. My pulse and temperature are high in this first seven days. Not to mention horrible headaches. Then i exercise for about 15- 30 minuts. Light to medium intensity. I use burpeegirl training on youtube. Her videos have helped me tremendously.

Exactly! I'm looking for exercises to build me back up TO this. All my big muscles are sore and weak from chemo. This video just makes me feel like a failure because apparently I'm supposed to be able to do this.

Question: Are these exercises going to cause an increase in PSA for someone in his seventies on watchful waiting for prostate cancer?

30 minutes of steady cardio for cancer patients? Big lol. No talk of how one might be feeling with chemo, this was a flop for me
