lol same. one of the few channels that i click basically as soon as i see the notification, the topics she talks about and the way she talks about stuff seem like the best intersection of "this is important" and "this is niche"
don't want to make it seem grander or higher stakes than it is because I love the current relaxed&relaxing format but i also feel like the videos are soooo good

What video recording software do you use? If you use OBS you click the hamburger (3 dots ...) on the Microhone --> advanced audio properties--> "Sync Offset" , and change from there.

i like hearing you talk! but also seeing you post in video form, i find your voice calming but it's nice to see you as well. it's part of your vibe and it fits with the 'hanging out with a friend' idea

I love bridges! One of the reasons I like Taylor's songs so much. She's also a master of the "so personal that it becomes universal" that you mention at the end, I see so many parallels between the two of you. The health thing too, from watching her documentaries and that stuff even though thematically her music does feature breakups and all that it seems that the process of actually making it is joyful and surrounded by calmness, slowly doing it, being surrounded by loved ones, etc.
So so so insightful to have listened to your process, I always wonder how artists do it. One rap artist i've been into lately talked about his process and his was kind of the same, kind of reversed, he just listened to beats that he liked and when he heard one that he vibed with he just started writing kind of stream of consciousness over it. He's also relatively local to me and has some bars that just out of proximity I just get, and even though it's a small thing it really bumps up that "connection" or "relatability" factor for me like you said.
I think you explained it well and i barely have questions left. If I had to ask anything, basically when it's a musician i find it intriguing to see how one thinks of sound, and even though you do talk about it in the chord progression thing or hint at it with the "maybe a $600 reverb isn't what you need right now" lol i am curious if there are any ways that you can recall that are more "sound-specific", because in this video at least you talked mostly about the writing part of the process. I guess that in writing and editing, how the words sound is a big part of it, but in melodic/harmonic terms I do wonder if there are any "putting these two things together" acts that you've done that nourish your creative process.
Not sure if im wording my "question" well, basically just "ok but how do you come up with melodies and that stuff tho???" but asked in a more verbose way.

My personal favorite song of yours is Marylin. After listening to your creative process, it was fun to then wonder about what you were doing during the times that pieces of that song popped into your head. 💕
    ✨️at your best, you're magic-even if it's just pretend✨️

i'm thankful for this channel! it's like therapy to me, lol seriously love hearing you talk about stuffs especially creativity, you're like my soul tribe 🫶🏽
it's indeed really helpful to see others perspective!
i am this type of person who has an idea and has to write immediately, it comes randomly!
    love a full song too!
i also learned that in order to be productive in my creative process, i needed to stop "threatening" myself, or pressuring myself to write a lot, or to finish this or record an ep/album till this age, etc
i was crazy!! i felt so bad, it didn't help at all, i made me anxious and i couldn't think about music being safe and comforting while it was and still is a huge passion of mine that i tried to demolish because of a lack of self indulgence :(
now that i know what i want my life to look like, to make me feel like (healthy, loving, safe, successful), i changed my old patterns to create a meaningful and mindful relationship environment for myself, and so all my passions including my creativity

Do you have some ideas/ tips around producing your music? Working together, how to share your ideas, how to keep your ownership but also give credit, how to create a song when you only have chords but don't know what snare and drums might fit?

I like to have a map with paper I can re-order. This way, I can change the order, get pages out, add pages, etc. I can really be in the moment with my notes and my piano. After that, when the song kinda "stands", I type it in a Google Doc where all my songs are :D

Exactly . Artists create because they randomly get these ideas and they *have to* write it down. Besides typing, I also really like the dictation (Voice control setting) feature.on the iPhone When I started living healthier, I just couldn’t stop writing. It’s hard to explain.. When I was younger I took all these classes because I wanted to be more creative and I wasn’t-that was the wrong approach . Forcing myself to be more productive didn’t work- I may have been able to get something out everyday but it seems fake, uninspired, and lacked heart. It is unfortunate that we have to feel pressured to “monetize “ or make things more presentable for an audience. This pressure really kills creativity.
