Nice video! But you need to retire that version of Road America. We created a new and accurate one that pairs perfectly with this car :)
Available at Race Department
Thank you John for the kind compliment on the video. Really appreciate that.
I'll be sure to have a look at the updated version of Road America later today. Thanks for the tip 👍
I absolutely love this car. After i did some laps i put my free cam at turn one braking zone at monza. And just listened to that crackling while downshifting 😍😍
It really one astonishing machine and I'm really thrilled that you are loving this car too. With RSS, it's the subtle noises you hear like the crackling whilst downshifting or the transmission when you go up & down the gears as well. Brilliant! 😁
Thanks for watching bud and hope you enjoyed the video 👍🙂
Love driving this car. Instant confidence in slides and oversteer. It would be nice to have the option to turn the aeroscreen off, though.
I'm really glad you're loving this car as well. It's a pitty you can't turn the aeroscreen off, but at least you have the option of removing the halo which is rather cool.
But, the way this car drives more than makes up for that. As you say, instant confidence it provides the driver is really good indeed. 😊😊
Awesome work there sir! Loved the video and i bought the car and enjoyed it myself. RSS is simply the best modders out there! Cheers.
Thank you Ramprasath. Really appreciate the positive feedback on the video 👍
I'm extremely pleased that you also love the car as well. RSS do create the best mods for sure and this car is pretty special. 😁
Thanks for providing footage from the drivers seat.
RSS and all the other youtube vid's I've seen fail to show this which is a pretty important consideration.
You're very welcome mate. You're right. Not a lot of people on RUclips provide footage of any vehicle from the cockpit view (drivers seat). That's something I always like to do in my videos.
Thanks for watching and for the positive feedback as well. Really appreciate that Joshua 👍🙂
Nice video man, great job by RSS team!!!
Great video, just wanted to append, the current generation Indycar model is the IR -18 the DW12 was decommissioned after the 2017 season in Indycar. Keep up the great content.
I almost forgot that the current generation of indycar is called the IR-18 and not the DW12 anymore. Apologies for that error.
Thank you Tyler for the positive feedback on the video. Really glad you enjoyed it. 👍
That smile!!! That smile of yours is so contagious! haha, Subscribed just for that smile!
Very nice video lad, Loved it, I relate to almost everything you mentioned, sim racing is about exploiting the limit of each cars and powersliding an indycar like this at the limit of the slip angle is definetely one of the most satisfying things you could ever do in simracing!
Man You know what's good!
Lol 😁 That has made my day so thanks very much for that mate👍
Really glad you enjoyed this video. The joys of sim racing is being able to grab a car by the skin of its teeth and pushing it as hard as you can to the very limit. But, if you go slightly over, it's reassuring to know that you're able to recover a car and control it, which is something you can't do in iRacing.
Thanks again and also for subscribing. I hope you'll enjoy my future videos as well as this one 👍😁
@@AMRDANI3L I'll be looking forward to them for sure ;)
have a nice evening mate!
@@nibv6996 Thanks man. Hope you have a good evening as well bud :-)
Nice video and explanation, makes me want to buy the car
Thank you mate. Glad you liked it! Hope you'll enjoy this wonderful mod as much as I do! :-)
Very nice driving!
Thank you ExpiredMilk. Really appreciate that and I hope you enjoyed the video as well 👍😊
Everything Josef and the Indycar crew have been whining about in iRacing... well RSS did it right. Of course I've never driven an indy car but I can slide this thing around all day, and it benefits lap time to do so. It's so friggin good man, perfection. Shame it lacks push to pass. RSS is usualy in instant buy for me, but this was the most satisfying.
Indeed. It's a pitty that this car doesn't have the push to pass button just like the real life equivalent. But, everything else about this car is just perfect. You're able to push it to its limits and are able to slide it around and control it unlike the other simulator I've mentioned in the title.
I'm really glad you've enjoyed this car a lot. It's utterly brilliant. And I hope you've enjoyed todays video as well 👍
Love the video buddy :) You should try the rfactor 2 version as well :) Amazing job over there on those
Thanks man. Really glad you loved the video 😁
I'll be sure to check out the rFactor 2 versions in the future for sure as well 👍
@@AMRDANI3L they are on the workshop can't wait to see your review of those. I'll link them in your server tonight
@@Twist3d_Drift3r Cool. Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to check the mods out in the Steam Workshop when I get chance 👍
Amazing mod, my only problem with it is the lack of p2p and it doesn’t have *quite* as much power as it should
It does look and sound gorgeous. Unfortunately, the Halo kills my desire to drive any modern single seater but it is good to know it can be removed.
Great vid as always.
Well, the halo shouldn't be the deciding factor for not driving this car. Luckily now, some developers are giving you the option now to get rid of it in game, like RSS have done with this mod.
Believe me, it really is great. So, pick it up and give it a try dude 😊
Really glad you enjoyed the video so many thanks for the positive feedback mate 👍
I think the IndyCar halo/windscreen gives better visibility than F1. It was designed to be taller to aid driver vision on banked ovals where visibility is absolutely critical from a safety and racing standpoint.
@@houstonharwood7197 You're probably right, IndyCar wipes the floor with F1 in every department these days.
The iRacing indycar is good now though ;). Only took them a year to fix the tyres.
Great video! i subscribed your channel and now I go to RSS and buy this fantastic mod! :-) I know the quality of RSS mods. Have bought F1 2022 Hybrid and F1 1990 V12 too. I think the produce the best open wheeler mods! Do you have AMS2? Whats your opinion to the old Indycars there? Best regards from germany!
Thank you so much McLane.
I apologize for not being able to respond to your comment on the video until now. I've been extremely busy recently. I'm absolutely delighted that you love the RSS Formula America's mod. Any product by Race Sim Studio is of a high quality. Whether it'd be the modelling, the driving experience or the sound, all of them are amazing.
To be honest, I did play AMS2 for a little while. I used the title in a couple of streams this year. I'm not a fan of the handling or tire model in the game. It's a shame because I wanted to try a new title for the channel but didn't really enjoy the game. Thank you for asking.
Thanks so much for watching the video and subscribing. I really appreciate that enormously. All the very best to you my friend! :-)
What is ur wheel rotation using this car it's always off for me I use 1080° with csl elite
Hi mate. Sorry I've taken a while to answer back. My wheel rotation in game & sensitivity on my CSL Elite are both set to 900. Hope this helps :-)
I don't know why, but I cannot slide the car around like other people are saying. The car seems to spin almost as soon as I get any oversteer, particularly on entry which I seem to get all the time.
maybe youre brake bias is wrong?
Why are you blipping the physical throttle pedal on downshifts? Doesn't it have automatic throttle blipping? I don't watch Indycar, but I highly assume the car will have automatic blipping for downshifts
Maybe it’s just me, it’s slow off the line on AC’s standing start. Approaching a corner, it immediately turns into hideous under steer, and exiting the corner it turns into oversteer. Add in the fact that it feels like it has worn sandpaper for wheels.
Feel free to roast my experience of this car in a reply
Hey Captain Jack!
Not at all. I won't roast yours or anyone else's comments on the experiences you've had with the Indycar. In Assetto Corsa, tire warming takes a couple of laps for the rubber to get toasty. If they don't, you might need to alter the pressures in the car setup. That might explain some of the understeer that you're experiencing with the car. As a consequence, on corner exit, when the front end is sliding, you start to produce oversteer when you're trying to get back on the throttle.
I hope this helps in some way, but I can reassure you that the RSS Formula Americas 2020 is an amazing machine in Assetto Corsa. I love driving it.
I agree, i usually love rss mods but this thing just has limp ffb and slides are sudden and near impossible to catch. it just has grip until it doesn't, by far and a way the hardest rss mod to drive (and not in a fun way)
@@kantina4765 I completely understand that it's more tricky to drive compared to the other mods RSS create. You have to bear in mind though, is that this is an Indycar, not an F1 car. It doesn't produce as much downforce or have the same grip levels compared o the Formula Hybrid cars. So, it's expectant that the car will slide around more and it can be tricky to catch.
The FFB is a little bit weaker compared to the Formula Hybrids, but there's still plenty of information through the wheel to know what's happening with this car.
I'm absolutely certain that if you change things like the camber, toe and suspension in the setup, it will make it slightly easier to drive. Also, when the tires do warm up, that helps with the handling even further.
I hope this helps my friend.
@@AMRDANI3L the difficulty for me doesn't come from the characteristics of the car but from the lack of information in the ffb. when you watch indy onboards you notice the steering is incredibly violent and that they slide around almost non stop, in game however I find the only way to get this thing round a circuit quickly is to be incredibly smooth because IF it does snap on you the ffb isn't going to tell you about it. I usually prefer an oversteery car but I find that thing to be understeery right up until you are facing the wrong direction. it's probably a me thing however, I should probably get some more practise in. thanks for the tips!
@@kantina4765 You're very welcome my friend. I'm happy to help.
Tbh, it's very difficult for any racing title to get the FFB and handling characteristics right anyway with how the cars drive and the feeling you get from them. But it definitely doesn't lessen the positive experience we have driving them.
I also find that driving the car smoothly helps as well. You can get oversteer in this, but it's much harder with the stock setup. Have a go at altering what I suggested. With more time, you'll definitely love the experience more.
Best of luck and happy sim racing dude! :-)
Anyone know any organization that will be handling a championship using this car mod? Anywhere in the world. I'm looking forward to drive as well as to watch.
I don't really know of any organisations that hosts major series in Assetto Corsa to be honest Felipe. It's a shame because a great car like this deserves to have its own online championship.
you can use this to transfer engines or just sounds between cars www.racedepartment.com/downloads/assetto-corsa-car-tuner.13946/
upload it on mega please
IRacing is to sim racing, what China is to the world!
🤣🤣 This made me chuckle a bit. Tbh, I'm not a fan of iRacing anymore. Don't enjoy the game
