- In this video I go over what it has been like to ride and live with the 2022 Honda trail 125. I cover the good, the bad, and the ugly of what this bike has to offer.

Practical, honest, insightful presentation. Really like the topics you chose to address and discuss. Love your candor and transparent commentary. Also appreciate the lack of and/or absence of dramatic emphasis on emotional based embellishments. All in all, a very refreshing review of the bike. Big thumbs up! Thank you.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for the support.
For all of the people saying the bike isn’t powerful enough this is obviously not for them. I bought mine knowing what I was getting into and I love every minute of riding it. Best purchase I’ve made in a long time.
It is insanely fun. The power chasers are truly missing out.
@@Dailycozwerks My thoughts exactly put!!
Yeah its not about power, it's about taking the back roads and having adventures!
Same
Amen. I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as i do. Forcing me to avoid highways has led to all sorts of back roads to explore. Its great for motocamping. Ive found that its small stature is great for parking in places most bigger bikes would be banned from.
In the era of expensive gas and insane car payments, this is one way to have transportation and stay out of debt. Maybe for urban only commuters the Super Cub is a slight better choice but I love my CT125 so far. It's an 80's Toyota pickup on two wheels.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate it.
Paid less for my Jetta 10 years ago! My '80's Toyota Pick-up was way more expensive. If you can ride all year round it's affordable. If you live in Canuckistan, not so much. Still want a CT125. Owned lots of big bikes but looking for something docile in my old age. Biggest dealbreaker is the colour. Debating a camo wrap vs paint?
Good day to you.
I am a grandpa rider on HONDA from Japan.
Enjoying touring ,camping and video uploading.
This is so nice video
Awesome!!
Thank you so much for sharing!
Full supported !
Have a nice day my friend!!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you share the same passion for these bikes.
Excellent video and info. I agree that many people don't talk about access to good frugal transportation.
I got into scooters and motorcycles partly to save money. Parking, gas, maintenance and insurance on a small motorcycle was less then a monthly pass for transit in our metro area. That doesn't even take into account the time savings and freedom of mobility it affords you. Little did I know motorcycles would become such a positive and big part of my life.
17 year later and I've owned many things from 50cc honda scooters up to 650cc motorcycles. Currently I have a Yamaha FZ6 I've owned since new in 2007, a Kymco Spade 150 mini moto I took on a 1200 mile tour and a recently purchased Suzuki DR650. I've had just as much fun, If not more, on the Spade and smaller bikes (scooters).
Okay, I just realized it's been over 17 years.
Sounds like we had similar journeys. I bought a 50cc Yamaha Vino as cheap transportation, and that turned into a lifelong series of bikes of all sizes, haha. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate the support.
"Last ditch apocalypse bike" LOL, I love it. Great video and I can't wait to get a Trail of my own.
You'll love it! Thanks for watching.
Great content. I REALLY want one. My buddy has one and we both have crf300L's. I also have a bigger adv bike and full on 2 stroke euro enduro bike. I absolutely love the smaller bikes.
As I've seen you say to another commenter, people are missing out being hung up on power. Totally agree !
Love your deep detailed breakdowns on your experience in this bike. I'm looking to get one myself in the next year or so, and you are helping with that decision. I'm in Athens, and this spring weather makes me want to ride something awful.
Thanks for watching. It really is a great bike. It's perfect for a town the size of Athens too.
Thanks. Wanted this bike for a long long time and you convinced me to follow through and get one.
Do iiiit! You are gonna be so glad that you did.
Awesome rundown of the bike and the explanation of why it’s a great bike. Great vid!!
Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate the support.
Great video and commentary! I also got mine during the pandemic. I've had trouble bonding with it. The shifting rocker and no clutch have been hard to adjust to. I guess I just need to ride it more. My husband who recently gave up his big bikes due to balance issues loves this one.
Thank you for such a great overview from the perspective of someone that puts their bikes to use.
Thanks for watching!
Great vid. This is the bike (will be my first) that ticks all the boxes for me. If it does indeed end up being "the one" it will actually be my first vehicle, period. But there's a good chance it will be the Navi, for it's price point, to at least get me through the first year (here you can only ride dawn till dusk, and I leave the house when it's dark half of the year and get home when it is for the other half) Also, I love what you said at the end about transportation. Said very well, and didn't come close to being or feeling preachy or shoehorned in, as it (important issues) so often does these days.
Excellent review and tutorial. Webike sells 2 point connection Barkbusters for this bike. You can also add their bar end weights to reduce vibrations and provide additional drop protection. The oem spinning bar ends pop out pretty easy. I posted a video on all that. I'll be interested to see your mag wheels. That is something I envy on the Super Cubs.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the tips!
Dope vid cozmo, glad to see the popularity on this one. May join you soon with one of these lil 125s. New fence looks good too!
Thanks dude! I can't say enough good things about the mini-motos. They are amazing.
I just found you, liked and subscribed, This looks like a great bike for an old man like me that's not in a hurry any more.
Thanks for the support! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for a very good, practical and realistic review. I've been living with my '23 Trail 125 for a few months. I agree that it's a bike that checks most all of the boxes. I traded my Grom for it. Comparing , the Grom was quicker. I prefer the Grom's 5-speed manual transmission and instrument panel. The Trail 125 has a better suspension and feels better to me, it's a more practical bike for the reasons you mention. If Honda would offer a 5-speed, hopefully with 150cc engine, I'd likely buy it again. Overall a great, practical and fun bike.
It's a trail scooter, people. It's a blast. I turn 70 years old soon and I love the new and of my young and old trails on my CT 90. Honda just delivered my brand new to the world to me a 2024 HONDA Trail CT 125.
Just subscribed. Like your enthusiasm. Great review. Hope you keep coming out with content dealing with the CT.
Thanks for that. I really appreciate it. Filming a video on it as we speak 👌
Hi From Ireland.
Great review, we can not get the Honda CT 125 in Ireland or Europe, So I had to get one from Thailand and ship it to Ireland,I Live out in the sticks, and I know the bike will work well here in co, Donegal, keep up your reviews. Thanks.
Thanks for watching. I admire your dedication to getting one. It'll be worth the hassle for sure. More videos on it coming soon.
Hey Lawrence!
Prepare for FUN!
@@NitwitMN Thanks I will.
Great review! Its a great bike, I love mine! God bless!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate you!
Who's charging you $34 a month for insurance on that? For all three of my bikes I'm paying like $110 a year. I will say though, your video is the very best informative owner-based video I have seen on this bike. Good job.
I live in the center of a major city, so full coverage insurance rates are just much higher here. Thanks for watching and the kind words. I should be posting more about this bike this week ( If my parts show up) lol.
Thanks for this. I fully agree about the need for affordable, storable, reliable transportation in this car-centric country. Honda is beginning to fill that void, thankfully. I saw the utility and fun of minimotos when I spent time in Vietnam on a Honda Dream (Super Cub) 110. There are millions of them there, and they can do virtually anything - for next to nothing in cost.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate the support. If you subscribed, more videos on this bike are coming soon.
COUSIN! lol i just moved from ATL to SC...but about to relocate back to GA or AL at the beginning of the year. Anywho just started riding a 50cc scoot and yep this is going to be my upgrade bike!!! I may purchase a used to save from the taxing from the dealership but we'll see. You did jump on 85 with it lol My 44mile daily commute to and from work not taking the highway is going to be so swift when I get mine! Loved the video and thorough breakdown :)
Great video dude, you’ve earned a new sub.
Thanks for the kind works and the subscription! It means more than ya know.
Love it! Great stuff! Thank you much!
Thanks for watching!
Fantastic video your a wise articulate gentleman thank you! I subscribed!
Thanks so much! I really appreciate that.
Good job. I fully agree with post by X below.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate you!
Great review! Thankyou.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it. More Trail videos coming soon!
great vid!
1: First comment!
2: I just bought one last week, after 3 years of wanting one. I LOVE IT! 😁
We should go riding together!
Hopefully you'll be at the Distinguished Gentlemans Ride this year, I will be! 😁
I miiiight be able to make it out.
Glad to hear you say that ! I ain't never selling mine and no you cannot ride it no one can ride it unless... Heh picking it up in 18 hrs ! I did want the green one but it's a thousand bucks more and no way you're going to find that so..
That's a nice looking car you have in the driveway wow 😮 subscribed !!! I will definitely check out your other videos once I've gotten a hold of the thing and I rode it for a couple days 😊 17 hrs❤
4400 w\tag out the door. 2k down 126 month 24 months btw I was told by the dealer if the financing payment is less than 75 a month they will deny you. (So you don't want to put down too much either if your financing) thanks again bro
Now if Honda simply added another gear.....two of the best things Honda could do for this bike is first.....increase production.... second is add another gear....would be greatly appreciated by the buying public.
They won't increase production because it would be harder for dealers to price gouge. The lack of bikes Honda brings into the US is intentional artificial scarcity.
Good review!
Thanks for watching!
Be Brave... Jump on the Trail 125!
AND THEY ARE JUST FUN FOR A LITTLE OFF ROAD ADVENTURE! NICE REVIEW!
Thanks for watching and the kind words!
Cool video. Transport without ego.
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate you.
This was really great, thanks for sharing. I'm thinking about getting into riding for puttering around town or some trails/camping and that Trail125 is really charming. Have you seen the XR150L yet? Supposedly getting released soon and it's cheeeeeeeap, sub-$3k but still a Honda.
Thanks for watching. I appreciate the support. The XR150L looks great. I would say you can't go wrong with any Honda. I just gravitate towards the Trails because I have always had them. The 230L seems like a great buy as well.
I'm desperately wanting one of these.
Do it! You won't regret it!
It looks like a solid bike, I really want one to learn to ride
Do iiiiit!
I bought one when it came out in 2021, love it! The only issue I have is the seat. A little wide and firm, especially for shorter folks. Wish there was a stock option for a seat not as wide(aka monkey) and softer.
I could see that. Web!ke Japan may sell a good aftermarket option.
Great video great motorbike 👍🌲🌠
Thank you! 🤝
Well said and done!
Thanks. I really appreciate that!
I'm an older guy. I have my Yamaha V-Star 1100 cruiser bike. And I'm sure I'll keep it till the day I can't ride any more. But the only cruising I do now days or on some weekend rides with my 5 biker brothers. Most the riding I do now is just commuting to & from town &/or work. I think one of these Trail 125 would be a great 2nd bike for my commutes.
It sounds perfect for ya. I have a similar combo Trail 125/ Harley Dyna
I'm open to every minimoto Honda; Monkey, Super Cub, Trail, Navi, Grom-it's a tough choice. If it goes 50 mph-that's enough for all secondary hwys in Quebec. I never want to be on freeways. I'm poor born to lose autistic, I can only pick one. Most important is the daily commute in QC, but I also want to do weekend getaways throughout the province and take up camping.
I vote Grom. Much easier to find than a Trail 😅
Is the gearing low enough for trail riding?
Good review...you covered it all. Like any off roader who's owned many bikes knows, small, light weight and flat out is more fun than navigating something high powered and heavy
So true! Thanks for watching.
Thanks for letting he info on videos, how comfortable is the seat? And what’s your opinion on the monkey compared to this one, in the sense of ridding experience, comfort off road etc.
The seat is plenty comfy for a few hours, not complaints there. The Monkey is overall smaller and feels a little more toy like. I still enjoy the Monkey, but the Trail is definitely more sustantial and "Real" bike feeling.
Where can I buy mag or aluminum
Wheels that fit the CT125?
can you share your helmet model and link to the Go Pro mounts? I like your entire kit and want to duplicate..
I'm gonna get one
Whats with the burrito musak?
The problem no two speed transmission. One utuber had to push his 125 over a mountain pass in Colorado. He said it was the hardest thing he ever did. I owned two trail 90s and the two speed is everything. The mountain wasn’t that steep of a grade but wrong gearing.
Honda did nothing but cut corners on this new model of trail and still expects you to pay more. No two speed transmission, no passenger seat or pegs. It's a total downgrade and they want thousands upon thousands for it.
enjoyed your video , nice job. Question , how do tires perform off road on trails? Thanks in advance
Thanks for watching. I appreciate it and the kind words. Tires are great, honestly. They can spin a bit in wet muddy situations, but generally, just pushing off with your feet a bit solves that and gets ya going.
What camera do use and is it attached to your helmet? Have you road in snow?
GoPro Hero 10 on a ChinMount custom mount. I live in Atlanta, so we don't actually get snow.
Thanks
GOOD VIDEO
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it!
i loved mine had it a little over a year and rode it until 3 days ago 4900 miles and now its parked out in the back paster and thats where it will stay until it rots down. they same with my 2 other bikes and a new helmet. i have been riding bikes since i was 10 and legal since i was 15 now almost 62 and something told me when i get home never get on another bike. so they went out to the paster.
pasture 73 myself and ha some days this enlights me
Why not pass them on if you are done riding?
@@jonallred2720 i got over it and riding it again i am super close to 7000 miles on it now.
Yep! I have had my Honda Trail 125 for almost a year now, and it's mostly stock.....and it's been great. I've taken it on some ridiculous adventures. My only complaints are that the suspension (especially up front) is not great, and I wish it could go just a smidge faster. If it were a 150, it would probably be perfect for me. With that said though, I absolutely love it!
Glad you are loving it, too. I would agree on the suspension. I am actually pretty happy with the power, I do have another bigger bike, though, for when going fast is required. I may feel different if I didn't.
My wife got one and now I really want one, its an amazing bike but they sell so fast where i live new and used i cant find one anywhere
Yeah, getting mine definitely took some hunting and good timing.
@@Dailycozwerkspaid full pop drove away 5 minutes never to return.😊

👍Great Fair Review👍
Was that your VW bro ? Cool .
Yep! It sneaks into the videos occasionally.
I think you would have to ride 24hrs straight at 45 mph (almost) non stop. If you somehow were able to pull off an iron butt on that bike, my dude you would deserve too be on the cover of American motorcyclist.
I have actually already done it on a pretty small bike. My first one was on a 80's 150cc Vespa. Sadly, I got no magazine cover. Just a patch haha.
I like the look of Honda minimotos but their scooters are ugly! I like the luggage rack. If I went scooter it will be Piaggio. Will buy next year. It could use a much bigger gauge! I could go for a used Vespa or Grom.
The Ruckus looks good! 🤷🏿♂️
I'm just so afraid if I get this bike it'll be stolen immediately
That is a genuine concern. I use the headset lock and a chain everywhere I go.
how about a wind shield to block the wind.
Depends on size. Anything that will keep the wind off you will also slow you down a lot, especially on a small bike like this
With them being plastic I worry I would just break it off-road. I am really hard on this bike.
Leave the stock wire wheels on it.
No can do. 😅
@@Dailycozwerks wire (spoke) wheels are much better for off road, mags are what you people put on your pimp mobiles😊
u ppl yeah ha funny world I believe he is way smarter than me love mine but 45 all day ha @@bossman1974
