    As she says, femininity and masculinity are learned behaviours. Gender refers specifically to those learned behaviours, they are time and cultural specific - different societies have different gender expectations. Sex is biological.

    *I agree with her when she said she doesn't believe middle-age men who come out, after living for years as heterosexual husbands and fathers, and say they felt like a female all along. I've known transgenders like that and I've always had a hard time believing what they say. I actually think it's a sexual fetish for them where they spent their lives getting sexually aroused in a dress and decided to become female later on. A few have admitted as much*

    Bravo Germaine !! I agree that masculinity and femininity are learned, but neither make anyone a 'man' or a 'woman' Transgenders can change their sex, but they still retain their XY chromosomes and the male traits of hubris, ego, dominance, and male interests. Males can become 'females' but that doesn't make them real 'women'. Women have virtues that go beyond femininity, vanity and sex appeal. They are loving, kind, thoughtful, vulnerable, cooperative, compassionate, empathetic, caring, and yet they are still strong, individualistic and prideful. 99% of the transsexuals associate with other transsexuals, gay men and straight men. They don't associate much with women in the woman's world or being involved with women's interests. Ask any man who has had a relationship with a transsexual and later a relationship with a woman. He will be the first to say that there is huge difference between the artificial and the natural woman. Truth: "It's not about the plumbing, it's about the wiring."

    I've often said that many radical feminists have the same views on gender as sexist male gym teachers from 1973.

    I actually think that transgenders are probably older than what she said when they transition. Probably at least 50 or older, instead of 42. It might depend on what country you live in too, but in the U.S. it's closer to 50 or even 60 like Caitlyn Jenner.

    What about people born intersex in general? In Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (CAIS), the body cannot process testosterone and causes the XY person to be born with (often quite large) breasts, a clitoris, a vagina, extremely feminine facial features and very clear skin but no womb (or just a nascent womb) or ovaries: instead there are residual testes inside the body. In accordance with the “biological reality” criteria, the CAIS person is called a “genetic male”, although to the average person, the idea of a feminine-looking “man” with luxuriant head hair, breasts, a vagina and a functioning clitoris might cause some cognitive dissonance at the very least. CAIS girls often do not find out that they are “male” until their teens, when periods fail to start, so they grow up with the experience of a woman also.
    In 2015 a “genetically male” AIS person called Hayley Haynes gave birth to twins via IVF after her nascent womb was developed with hormone treatment. Not so cut-and-dried, after all.

      You need to lie down and stop thinking such nonsense. There are and always have been only 2 genders, male and female. There is nothing else. Even animals understand this. Our sole purpose is to propagate or species. End of story.

      I'm intersex myself, I have something known as XX male syndrome. Genetically I am female and I can tell you I feel and I am 100% male. In very rare circumstances like mine the Chromosomes can be mixed up and it causes nothing but problems. My chromosome issue alone makes me infertile, it's a medical condition not any kind of "gender spectrum".

      e13kid How are you 100% male, when you are genetically female???

    • @e13kid
      @e13kid 7 лет назад +2

      Because that doesn't affect who or what I am. It's a medical condition, nothing more.

      e13kid So wouldn't that mean you are not 100% male then, if you are genetically female???
