As a Bulgarian, I find the selection of snacks quite weird and mostly not typical-caramel popcorn and jaffa cakes are not all Bulgarian and not very popular. The kaki no tane is Japanese but it was a very popular snack in my childhood. The best Bulgarian version of Turkish delight is the one with Bulgarian rose water. Bulgaria is famous for roses and the flavour of the delight is special. too bad you didnt have that one.
I think ist more the selection of Snaks in the individual countries than the national food ;) so great selection, but I would put some meet products and BEER 😂

Those pretzel pieces you're thinking of are from Snyder's and they're the honey mustard and onion pretzel pieces. Truly an iconic snack that I think EVERYONE who likes to try American snacks, should try once. Really a well-known and loved snack, here in the US, especially the honey mustard and onion flavor.
In this region jam is a bit different, like. maybe 3 distinct recipes-one is made with a syrup base (like the one you tasted i think) that we use more like a garnish, on fried doughnuts or on rice/semolina pudding, another type of jam that’s actually jam by your definition, less sugary, more tart, and then there’s marmelade in which the fruit is kinda mashed into a paste and shaped in blocks. I don’t think Bulgaria is particularly famous for blueberries and those types of preserves are about the same in about all this region. Btw Satoshi might be right, we do have a rose jam similar to that blueberry one, it’s possible it has rose added for flavor. I’m not Bulgarian but I live close to the border, their most famous snack here is called a napoleon, a pastry with a very delicious cream inside. The “cosmetics” is a nougat lol, possible with rose flavouring. The rose thing is mostly due to the turkish influence...PS If you plan to eat the rest of that jam use it like you’d use maple or caramel syrup, in moderate amounts
I have it on good authority you may own a massive apartment in Majes Tower where one room is used to store all the packages you receive for TabiEats and Satoshi has a dedicated beer refrigerator. Modesty prevents you from showing it because you wish to remain humble . 😎 . Great show guys.

I did some research about the popcorn with the American flag, they are actually American, but since 2007 The American Popcorn company responsible for the production of these popcorns started making microwave popcorn in Bulgaria.

It sounds like that nougat wafer thing went a little too crazy with the rose water. That's a very popular European/Middle Eastern snack flavour that doesn't really work for me. Those beer snacks looked DELICIOUS though.
They did say in the last live stream that they have a lot of unopened boxes. Maybe the reason is that they don't need to open them that fast since they have so many leftovers to eat as is.
Bulgaria is known for their Rose's. They grow a lot of them for the perfume industry and tend to have food products with Rose's in them.

I looove them, they got really popular in Germany/Switzerland and I find them now everywhere. Lucky me, so they never run out at home😁
