Oh, Aachener Printen are gingerbread. Just a different variation of it. There are a couple of gingerbread specialities in Germany, but the ones from Aachen and Nürnberg are the most famous ones.
I can think of two countries that love Christmas spices, Germany and the UK. We both love those warm strong spices in the winter time, especially around Christmas time.

We can easily find all those things here in London, ( you can find everything in London lol ) but I don't really like German biscuits and cakes, as I can't stand the spices in them!

I'm just like Satoshi. 😅I don't like cinnamon, anise or ginger powder in biscuits or cookies. ● But if these spices are used in savoury dishes, 🍲🥘like in our Singapore-style chicken curry and Ngor-Hiang rolls (ie prawn-meat rolls in beancurd skin, with 5-spice powder), then I would find the spices palatable.
