I wish American candy makers/bakers would take a page from the people around the world who prefer their treats less sweet. I really prefer to taste the highlighted ingredient rather than just the sweetener. In that vein, I think the apple cake would be my favorite of the snacks today--the intense apple flavor and interesting texture appeal to me. The pineapple jelly and the lemon wafers would be a close second.😊 Thank you both for another video celebrating the simple joys that tie people together.

19:30 Caramel is just how we call hard candies in Russia, even if there's no actual caramel in it. Barberry / berberis is indeed a name of a berry.

I love how you liked all of the snacks in both parts 😊
Just to add barberry is the name of the berry and the caramel part means it is hard candy not that it has caramel. Alonka is the name of the girl and Red October is the name of the company

I bet Satoshi would love my Dad's Ginger bread cookies. They are super Gingery. And I mean that is all you taste. And I love them that way. You will taste a super punch of ginger and will not taste the cinnamon that is in them. My dad adds extra ginger to the recipe. Why because he loves ginger. He eats ginger straight up. I actually like my dad's gingerbread cookies more than any Ginger bread or Ginger snap cookie on the market. There is one old-fashioned brand of Ginger Snaps that are close but not gingery enough for our taste.

I was thinking of starting an unofficial tabieats subreddit. The only thing I'd really post on it is links to places where you can buy some of the treats the boys try on this channel so I'm curious if anyone else would be interested in it. Would anyone else be interested?

I understand that the food doesn‘t have to do anything with the war. But a comment to the Ritter Sport chocolate would be nice. At least you know that ritter Sport is a german Company and Not russian. Unlike other companies they didn‘t left the russian market and got a huge Image break down in Germany. They didnt want to lose the sells but other did and showed an example of what they think about the war and the russian Gouvernement.

What if all these brands were openly homophobic? Would it still be about just food then? I don't hate the Russian people. My country has always had some kind of relationship with Russia, but sometimes you got to be political, where it matters.

word "caramel" in russian means not only a caramel as melted sugar, soft or not, but a type of candy - hard-candy. It may have every possible flavour.

In the old soviet states, including Russia, they would probably hysterically laugh at anybody putting jam into their tea directly. Sugar or honey is more traditional.

Liberal tears? Do you have to be a liberal to care about the rape of women? The orphaned children? The tortured men? The cities & towns, the HOMES reduced to rubble? Families displaced, destroyed, devastated. The how many thousands dead? The threat of nuclear weapons? Is it only liberals who care about such things? Dear God I hope not.
Well done @TabiEats you’re reducing your community & comments section to the kind of dumpster fire normally reserved for Twitter. Spectacular, truly. 🤦🏻‍♀️
